I have this device. It's great because it doubles as a thumb drive also. However, to convert the audio files (which can be captured in various degrees of resolution) use the program called wavepad. It's free, just google it.
Hi, I have this Olympus recorder and I was wondering if there's any way for me to convert the .wma sound files into .mp3 files? I've downloaded applications that convert the .wma files to .mp3 but the applications always tell me "Error: Unknown Format / Corrupt File"
You should use the SUPER. It's a powerfull freeware that converts almost any audio or video file to the file that you want, including mp3. Google "SUPER audio convert", it will be the first result.
Nope, There's a slot on the Tape recorder for speakers to be plugged it. Plug that into the microphone port in the PC, and you can record everything :)
dude, this things volume level sucks. I bought it for recording riffs and what not on my guitar. The playback level is crazy low... and yea, i have turned the volume 'all the way up '. anyone know what the deal is? i could have bought a tank of gas
I'm thinking of getting it for recording live music also. I've read reviews that say the playback level is low, but I don't care about that, I'm not playing back music with that ridiculously small speaker, I just want to record and get nice stereo sound that won't distort. I'll download the file and convert to MP3 for my ipod, but was wondering if you could let me know if it does a good clean job for live music. Would like to record some concerts as well, thanks!
the WS-510M comes with a rechargeable battery that charges it from the computer. I was hoping I could find out how long this will take since I'm on 3 hours and 20 minutes of charging. The booklet doesn't say.
Oh! Ok, 3 hours and 20 minutes is the length of time. It just showed the battery full symbol. Awesome. I think I'll stick with the disposables though.
Which proves my point that you're an illiterate prick. Do you read the titles of videos before you watch them or just click aimlessly on videos and subsequently act like an asshole in the comments section? My guess is the latter...
I'm doing video interviews and wanted to buy a large microphone but the costs were too high ($300 for a high end recorder) so I opted for this one ($99)
. at first I was apprehensive because it was so small, but the guy at the store told me to try it....I did...and recording is AMAZING; the sound is very good and it is very easy to transfer it to your computer....the technology in it is very advanced.
I's one of the bestest reviews of digital voice recorder!!!

Horrible "review". No one cares about you touching the buttons. All that matters is the recording quality, and you failed at sampling it!
noizereduction 2 years ago
That's why he called it a "basic guide" not a "review", numbnuts...

No one gives a shit about basic guides. He can take his basic guide and shove it! Olympus provides a Basic Guide.

Titled or not, posting a useless video on youtube angers anyone with half a brain.
