  • This music. As well as Bernstein's conducting. Is the absolute best thing I have ever heard. I hope to be that great one day.

  • This is incredible. It's as if Sibelius himself was present, telling Bernstein how the music should be played.

    The Symphony No.1 by Sibelius has always been close to my heart. I first heard it back in 1980, when I was 19 and found the LP in my dad's collection. When the house was empty I played it loud and pretended to conduct. Then my first girlfriend came by and later I lost my virginity. I will never forget that moment, because the last movement was still playing. That was true happiness.
