If you want to find opponents in Platinum, you can look for a message board where Pokémon players hang out. You're bound to get a few new faces in your Pal Pad, as long as you behave nicely and politely.

PBR sells so well, it's never been reduced in price. It's abundant in any store that sells video games. Be aware of that should you choose to get it--it's not cheap.

yeah, thats what happens when you breed a male with ditto, the offspring ends up being male and you have a slight chance for being female, but keep trying and hope hehe

No, that's not how it works. The gender of Ditto's partner is unimportant; it's the species. For instance, you will never hatch a female Tyrogue or a male Kangaskhan.

I reckon there's a good chance that Ditto was scarfed. I've never thought of that before... could be handy in certain situations. Could be Quick Powder too, of course.

It's definitely Quick or Metal Powder. Those two double up Ditto's Defense and Sp. Defense and no Choice Item can raise a defensive stat

I don't understand Ditto. My Ditto,Rose,is level 40-something and yet when I fight her againist pokemon like Shinx and Starly,that are not even lv 10,she can't a descent hit,shouldn't a pokemon be k.o.'d if it's facing a pokemon at such a higher level then itself even if the type of attack doesn't do much damage because it's of the same type?

To be honest, I don't understand Ditto or Transform too well. I know Ditto copies stats as well as attack, type, and everything else except HP, but I don't know the extent to which it copies stats.

It may be because wild Pokémon have no EVs, which Ditto takes on. That means it'll have low stats.

Transform keeps changes everything except its stats so yeah, Ditto would have kept his stats during the transformation. Only Mew can really benefit the most out of transform.

Btw: Smeargle does can sketch transform and transform smeargle usually comes with some nasty sets to go with.

I'm pretty sure you can choose whom Ditto should Transform into. It's a lot more potent when you know what moves your opponent has. (Lardo didn't know what I was up to, but he guessed correctly.)

thanks, i'm on the second set of battles on PBR now and i coulda got wi-fi but i spent that on the wii so my friend said "save up and we'll go get it" to get a wireless router/modem or any sort of wi-fi that works with the DS and Wii. then I can crash u lot!^^

I don't mean to be rude, I've notice that your only battling for fun, but can you whip up any clever and serious strategies in competitive battles? Of course,I am a meta-gamer.

If you want to be serious, you can check out "Pokémon of the Week" at Serebii. I do read the serious strategies, by the way, so I can choose not to follow them.

Of course, these weird strategies do work pretty often. I'm constantly coming out of left field, and the experienced opponents won't know what to make of it.

Hmm, I see. So the reason why you're using pokemon with average base-stats and weird move-sets is to confuse your opponents or just toy with them, right?

And yes, I know about Serebii.

I use different movesets to throw experienced players off. For instance, people often switch upon seeing Ambipom, often to a Ghost-type, expecting a Fake Out. Instead, a Substitute pops up, and I'm free to Baton Pass the Substitute to someone else.

It's also a message for people to always stay on their toes and never feel complacent simply because a Pokémon is said to be "worse" than another.

lighting anyones free to use the pokemon they want, PBR doesnt record your wins/losses and unless you are battling for a tournament or recorded wins and losses what is the point in really playing with an OU Team?

PBR is good for having fun and trying out really wierd movesets and pokemon wich just makes it all the more fun and interesting when you actually win.

Anyway PBR is all about the fun with random battles, or you can organise a recorded wins/loss battle and see your pokemon in 3d ;)

You'd think Tauros would have Rock Head (or whatever it's called), so that it doesn't take recoil from stuff like Take Down or Double Edge.

Tauros has two Abilities: Intimidate and Anger Point. There's no more room for Rock Head. (Besides, its head isn't made of rock.)
