Awsome! My Dad is 47 and jams to Metallica, Ted Nugent, Scorpions and Judas Priest. He has loved guitars since he was a kid. He play's everyday and very loud. Like your Dad he probably wanted to be a rock god but became a conformist instead.

I do not use tabs, I learned this by ear in 1983. Sometimes the tabs are off a little, so I usually avoid them.

Dad, From one ole headbanger to another,you got a good ear,the tabs you can buy are usually off by a few notes to keep from copyright infringement. Anyway I came up like you doing it by ear,many many hours playing over and over and then playing at the friday night parties.My band of choice was IRON MAIDEN, but learned alot of the other stuff as well, Man you just brought back lots of great memories

I'm 41 - been playing Judas stuff over 20 years - this is a great job, sounds almost note-perfect.

Tabs tend to show you easy chord voicings, not necessarily the correct chord voicings - just an FYI.

Thanks for the line. I am using a 50 watt Marshall tube amp into a 4x12 cabinet. My effects are in order:

ompression/sustainer-metal zone-chorus-eq. All are Boss pedals. I also use a sonic maximizer to get that "Priest" crunch.

Thanks for the line, us old guys need to keep on jamming for the younger generation. We did this in 1 take and I havent played it through in 10 years. I think I'll try another tune and practice first--stay tuned.
