  • I'm glad you play this song upbeat... that's how I sing it, too. beautiful.

  • may the lord bless you and your piano. thankyou and god bless

  • Well done, I wish I could handle my old piano as well as you do. :-)

  • You gotta love the way he playes this. Me and my friend did a duet with this song, and it was fun! This song is a total blessing! :)

  • good job kevin. keep up the good work.

  • love it love it love. To God be the Glory.

  • well! You did an awesome job. I am drawing from my supreme wisdom and deduction, that you might be a christian. But anyway keep playing. God bless

  • actualy not bad

  • hay you need to teach me that !!!!!

  • Hey, it's not too fast! I'm apostolic and our church ALWAYS sings/plays this song fast. Very good job. Is that considered an upright grand? I know there are consoles which have a high back and spinets that have a very low back, but that one is much taller than a regular console, so I just assume upright grand?

  • Fantastic! Wondered if you would record yourself playing ( Mansion over the hilltop) and possibly (On the wings of a snow white dove) you do such an amazing job!

  • your awesome at this keep it up and the lord will bless you !!

  • Wow really good :)

  • Fantastic. I believe that is the temp it is meant to be played at....good job. What a great old gospel song. Ever watch Eva Mae Lefevre play gospel....now that is piano playing. I'll refer to you as I practice.......Thanks....Best Regards

  • Excellent. Music is like coffee. Give the same amount of coffee ground and water to 2 people, and it will taste different. I like your style. Well done.

  • The song, when played in a solo format, should be played up tempo. Your version is proof of concept. Great job.

  • I think your playing is excellent! It makes me feel like I'm at a Southern revival service. We need more of this type of uplifting spiritual music in our lives. You're fantastic.

  • neat arrangement!

  • key of Bb for trumpet

  • Please do Victory in Jesus. Your playing is awesome.

  • yes i like the faster style...

  • love your style. it reminds me of "old time" piano players who could "make a piano walk across the floor" as my Momma would have said. I love all four of your posts. waiting on somemore. up tempo would be wonderful, maybe "Count Your Many Blessings". Thanks!

  • awesome!

  • I just love this song! Brings back many memories...I like the tempo!

  • could you please show us how you play it

  • Amazing!

  • I prefer the dirge.

  • Great job. I really enjoyed the arrangement.

  • Absolutely wonderful! Out of tune or not :-)

    Rev. Keith H. Brown

  • Good playing. I'd like to hear you with a singer so you wouldn't be a slave to the melody.

  • great! i love your playing. I play piano for my church.

you say you used to know Roger Bennett? He was an amazing piano player. He died on my birthday!! At least he's with the Lord now.

I love Legacy Five! They're still good even though he doesn't sing with them anymore.

  • Piano out of tune or not, you are an amazingly talented piano player.

  • Hi Kevin! I just signed up on you tube and I REALLY loved listening to your piano videos!

I LOVE Southern Gospel Music and am learning to play the piano also. I have only had 6 months in lessons or so. However, mine is much more slow going - hope to be as good as you sometime. :) Thanks for posting these videos, I look forward to any more when you post them! Also, I think you did a GREAT job on I'll Fly Away. It needs to be played like this and not a funeral dirge. Smiles to you! :)

  • hey i go to a upc church and that is how fast maybe a bit slower but it gets the job done

  • I am with you..I like the faster style...Great work...Do you play by ear or both?..

  • When I was a kid,, used to go to church with a girl across the street. I remeber her mom playing the piano in their house to get ready for church on sundays, and how I never would have heard that at home. It drew me in, and now I know it was The Holy Spirit all along looking out for me. Thank you for taking me back to such a great memeory. Too many kids now do not have it, thats a shame. Thanks for your devotion & hard work. God Bless & prosper you more than you ever dreamed.

  • Great job. Wanna hear a 14 year old kid play it in gospel/ragtime? Such happy music!
