I'm an animal advocate. I spend a part of every day promoting awareness of the victimization of animals. I'm unable, though, to watch actual footage of animal slaughter. My eyes can't handle it. The PETA vid, the Pam Anderson vid, I click on, and with headphones in place, I spin my chair around so that I get the info without actually witnessing this unspeakable torture.

Ok, last one, I promise. I just want to say that I really did like the video. Apart from the attitudes that I have commented on, I thought it was very well done. I am an editor myself and I especially enjoyed the restraint show with the animal footage. It was too disturbing to be shown too much and I think that the right amount balance was struck between getting the point across and overdoing it. Sometimes less is better when you are trying to get an image to stick in people's minds.

what is the *correct* amount of violence against the animals appropriate? The animals live it 24/7. If you can't take it then think what they go through! I can watch it as I don't eat or wear them. I do my hardest to stop the *testing* of the animals. It has to be shown to get people moving and when I become saddened it turns into action. What the animals go through isn't poliet. I was commenting on the structure of the video, not the treatment of the animals. Obviously the "correct" amount of violence against animals is zero. My point in the comment you addressed was more that if the entire video was footage of animals being abused the chances that any one particular image would stick with the viewer is much lower. Hopefully (non veg) people who watch this will go away with such an image nagging at the backs of their minds that may one day help them to see the light.
