@lepordgekomaster Well since Big Bang there is no need for dex anymore, so the comparing of the two is completely obsolete now, but with dex the min dmg would be lower. STR adds more min dmg than DEX. If some of the STR was in DEX, the range would become like 80-800 (this big of a range interval, compared to hat you stated is impossible, though). The fact that my range was reallylow-reallyhigh was more caused by the lack of mastery, which you get in 2nd job (increase min dmg).

@TheANRProductions It makes all the difference. There were no bathrobes for one. There were only 10%/60% scrolls. Att gloves were practically inexistant, those that did exist were unaffordable. There were no att potions besides warrior pills. There was no blessing of the fairy. There were no medals. I can go on and on. XD

Don't add dex. Lol just kidding, just get as much dex/acc gear as early as you can, zak hat is VERY welcome too (even requird to dexless) and ocne you get enough accuracy start replacing stuff with att/str gear losing as little acc as you can.
Depends. BW is cheaper, but has a lot less stable damage. Sword is more expensive (although now prices are dropping like HELL) and are a lot more stable. I used BW in low lvls so I could save up money (and have a damage range not a lot different from swords since at low lvls your damage doesn't get multiplied that much, so difference stays smaller). To switch to a sword later to get the more table damage which I had saved for to be able to afford, I never had any real troubles, too.
I didn't miss. I got to level 144 with only missing on things I wasn't at all supposed to be able to hit. I even did my first crimson rog solo at lvl 78 with 4dex base. Anything else to say smartass? Well helemt for dex is expensive because it allows nightlords to hold higher att claws without raising their base dex, that's why it's so expensive. For us helmet for accuracy is better since it adds 1dex and 2acc.
No it's not. I haven't sacreficed any attack points. o.O I use top/bottom scg and a str cape. I don't see how you could do a lot better with higher base dex except get a godly str overall (my set has 25str 19dex 5acc combined), however that will make you slower moving around the map, so I don't see myself in a disadvantage there, do you?
Keep it as low as you can. It's kindof a waste adding it now and resetting it again at lvl 90. Try to get as many acc/dex equips as you can without sacreficing too much str/att in the process. In the beginning u might be weaker, but in the end you'll be stronger.

Well keep your dex as low as you can. Remember a zakum helmet is cheap now and equals about 40accuracy (50dex stats worth), which allows you to keep your base a lot lower.

The only requirement is 25str. Also no equips (except for Stonetooth and taru spirit cape) require any dex to be worn, making it practically ithout disadvantages.

You'll need a brown bandana or blue wisconsin hat for some accuracy, 100% overall dex an overall when you can and get some accuracy shoes (low cost). Jus tmake sure you do all your quests and sell your scrolls for god prices and you should be able to pull it off. Keep adding dex as a last resort.
yea thanks for the support but I will just buy the dex equips when u can from a store like i think level 40 u can still buy them from a store and the later levels i will train on monsters that drop them and for the gloves that give dex and shoes i have the level 30 and 35 ones and im sure that when i will train on monsters they will give when i train. Uh.. probably a hero. A DK comes pretty close but his weapons are a lot slower. Paladins only beat them in type-weak monsters, and even then not at all. It depends on mobsize really. mobs of 4 or more r down faster by paladin (most of the time) since they can do good dmg to up to 6 monsters, while hero and DK's moves hit only 3. But I think Hero wins this one hands down.
um i dint have a lot of money like only 3 mil and i want to make a warrior should i make him dexless and if i do i wont be able to add to many points into dex becasue i wont have enpugh money for scrolls and stuff. so should i just make him a low dex forever like 5-9 dex or is that bad. And if i will my damage be like really high and low both or if i max mastery and get the level 43 maple sword thing that imroves accuracy I will have some-what low damage and really high damage?
Well with 3mil it will be very hard for you to stay dexless, since you'll need a lot of equips that add dex and accuracy and those cost money. Mastrty does help yeah, and str raises your minimum dmg more than dex does, so your high hits become higher, but your low hits become higher as well. Maple weapon is almost a must if you want to survive on a practically unfunded dexless. You can try it, though, msg me if you have any questions, and spend your mesos wisely. Good luck! ^_^-b
Umm... Yeah... It may seem cool to tell ppl that you only have 5 DEX and such and grats on sticking wit it, but look at your damage man... I mean seriously. Yeah sure u can hit 600+ sometimes, but others you hit for 60-70... It's just not worth it.
Dude this is before mastery, everyone hits like it, it has nothing to do with my dex. Str adds more max and min range than dex, so it even makes your damage more stable. It is worth it, trust me.
I agree that mastery would gretly help this, but so would DEX. Do some research you will find that adding DEX greatly increses your minimum damage, much more than just adding strength. But this is not my char, you do what you wish. One suggestion however, you might have been better off making a dexless DK. You could glean even more high dmg hits that way, and they already have irratic dmg so it wouldn't be to different.
Str adds more min dmg than Dex. If you did research you would know that. There is no need to add Base Dex. It's child's play to have enough accuracy just from equips. And I'm not saying a dk is bad, but it's just not my type of character. The attacks are way to slow for my likings, partly the reason why I went to 1h sword as well.
Well you'll learn later on, when you have enough accuracy replacing acc stuff with dex stuff will maintain your necessary acc while slightly increasing your damage range. Always welcome to have more dmg isn't it. :)
Depends how far you're going to get. In my eyes pages have the slight advantage now because of 12att pots, but that's just in raw damage. A very important part of quoteunquote better is howfar you can get, howmuch motivation you can muster, howmuch fun you have playing your character. I advise you look at some crusader/white knight videos and maybe some paladin/hero videos and decide for yourself which job seems more appealing to you. Best of luck.
Well for starters, always loot all your drops. Even the compeltely useless ones, just NPC them. Keep all ores on a mule, don't npc (trust me, you'll need them JUST after you sell them, that's always how it is). Do all your quests, don't spend unnecessary money; don't try to fight things too strong for you, don't use a return scroll when you can just walk (this also gives exp if you kill whatever you come by). If you want to sell something ASK what it's WORTH, please! Best of luck!
dex is not important for page~ all it need is accuracy~ we add dex for acc~ having too much base dex will lower down ur dmg~ having 2x dex of ur lvl is a nub page

Haha yeah I get that, I was very poor for long as well (early 5xs didn't ahve shyt). But I would avdise against 100 base dex though, even dex as low as 60 is perfectly possible for an unfunded character (poorer than poor). A Zakum hat is only 35Mil here, maybe ven 30, and that ads enough acc for a logn time.
So without Dex the damages range to 90- 1000?

Yo im lv 26 and doing that kind of damage with a base dex of 40 and im keeping it like that until i hit lv 70, which will be in like a few weeks O.o lol, then at 73 ill have a base dex of 50...and the rest into str with some acc snowshoes and a blue wisconsin.

Well keep your dex as low as you can. Remember a zakum helmet is cheap now and equals about 40accuracy (50dex stats worth), which allows you to keep your base a lot lower.

Well, unless you want to be a high DEX warrior, you should cap your DEX at 60-70 So you will start doing more damage and still have good accuracy.

The only requirement is 25str. Also no equips (except for Stonetooth and taru spirit cape) require any dex to be worn, making it practically ithout disadvantages.

i have 80 capped dex and im an awesome fighter..lvl54 doing nice damage but even if ur 51 dexless u should been hitting wayy more
also 2x dex ur lvl is so you never have to wear acc+ or dex equips

Actually dances with balrog has extremely low avoid and I was wearing all str gear and still had about 18acc to spare wtihout the gelt, and I didn't have zak hat yet and dex earring/face weren't even out yet.

Do you know anything about warriors? All warriors hit like this. Because I'm dexless my damage is actually more stable than other's, 'cus str adds slightly more min dmg than dex does, so before you gon about that please do some research, r just ask why it is if you don't know, don't go around calling it stupid if you don't know, ok?

Zakum helmet and dex earrings. Keep an eye on your weapon speed as well, as that makes a big difference in how fast you can train.

You'll need a brown bandana or blue wisconsin hat for some accuracy, 100% overall dex an overall when you can and get some accuracy shoes (low cost). Jus tmake sure you do all your quests and sell your scrolls for god prices and you should be able to pull it off. Keep adding dex as a last resort.

yea thanks for the support but I will just buy the dex equips when u can from a store like i think level 40 u can still buy them from a store and the later levels i will train on monsters that drop them and for the gloves that give dex and shoes i have the level 30 and 35 ones and im sure that when i will train on monsters they will give when i train. BUt from those dex less equips they will only give me like +15 more dex and will add to my 5 or 6 dex to make like 21. I cant afford on scrolls

Uh.. probably a hero. A DK comes pretty close but his weapons are a lot slower. Paladins only beat them in type-weak monsters, and even then not at all. It depends on mobsize really. mobs of 4 or more r down faster by paladin (most of the time) since they can do good dmg to up to 6 monsters, while hero and DK's moves hit only 3. But I think Hero wins this one hands down.

um i dint have a lot of money like only 3 mil and i want to make a warrior should i make him dexless and if i do i wont be able to add to many points into dex becasue i wont have enpugh money for scrolls and stuff. so should i just make him a low dex forever like 5-9 dex or is that bad. And if i will my damage be like really high and low both or if i max mastery and get the level 43 maple sword thing that imroves accuracy I will have some-what low damage and really high damage?

Well with 3mil it will be very hard for you to stay dexless, since you'll need a lot of equips that add dex and accuracy and those cost money. Mastrty does help yeah, and str raises your minimum dmg more than dex does, so your high hits become higher, but your low hits become higher as well. Maple weapon is almost a must if you want to survive on a practically unfunded dexless. You can try it, though, msg me if you have any questions, and spend your mesos wisely. Good luck! ^_^-b

Umm... Yeah... It may seem cool to tell ppl that you only have 5 DEX and such and grats on sticking wit it, but look at your damage man... I mean seriously. Yeah sure u can hit 600+ sometimes, but others you hit for 60-70... It's just not worth it.

Dude this is before mastery, everyone hits like it, it has nothing to do with my dex. Str adds more max and min range than dex, so it even makes your damage more stable. It is worth it, trust me.

I agree that mastery would gretly help this, but so would DEX. Do some research you will find that adding DEX greatly increses your minimum damage, much more than just adding strength. But this is not my char, you do what you wish. One suggestion however, you might have been better off making a dexless DK. You could glean even more high dmg hits that way, and they already have irratic dmg so it wouldn't be to different.

Str adds more min dmg than Dex. If you did research you would know that. There is no need to add Base Dex. It's child's play to have enough accuracy just from equips. And I'm not saying a dk is bad, but it's just not my type of character. The attacks are way to slow for my likings, partly the reason why I went to 1h sword as well.

Well you'll learn later on, when you have enough accuracy replacing acc stuff with dex stuff will maintain your necessary acc while slightly increasing your damage range. Always welcome to have more dmg isn't it. :)

Depends how far you're going to get. In my eyes pages have the slight advantage now because of 12att pots, but that's just in raw damage. A very important part of quoteunquote better is howfar you can get, howmuch motivation you can muster, howmuch fun you have playing your character. I advise you look at some crusader/white knight videos and maybe some paladin/hero videos and decide for yourself which job seems more appealing to you. Best of luck.

Well for starters, always loot all your drops. Even the compeltely useless ones, just NPC them. Keep all ores on a mule, don't npc (trust me, you'll need them JUST after you sell them, that's always how it is). Do all your quests, don't spend unnecessary money; don't try to fight things too strong for you, don't use a return scroll when you can just walk (this also gives exp if you kill whatever you come by). If you want to sell something ASK what it's WORTH, please! Best of luck!

Haha yeah I get that, I was very poor for long as well (early 5xs didn't ahve shyt). But I would avdise against 100 base dex though, even dex as low as 60 is perfectly possible for an unfunded character (poorer than poor). A Zakum hat is only 35Mil here, maybe ven 30, and that ads enough acc for a logn time.
