  • This is not East Jerusalem. . This is the Old City. The Dome of the Rock belongs to the Palestinians; the Kotel belongs to the Jews. Let all of us be able to worship freely at our holy areas.

  • So pretty, my great grandma vidited here awhile back. Only time I got to see this was playing assassin's creed. lol

  • the Wakf are destroying every jewish proof for the temple that found under this ground. such poor animals.

  • Hey zaf4peace there is a Flying Rock in The Mosque

Prophet Mohammed Did stand on it to go on that Horse when he Flew Up he Told The Stone to stop Moving so now the Rock is still in the Air can u show us that Rock ???

i wish i can go there but cause of Israel i cant D:

  • Muhammad's alleged "night journey" and mi'raj AD 622

    Muhammad died AD 632

Dome of the Rock built by Amir Abd-ul-Malik AD 688-691

    Masjid al-Aqsa built AD 715

    Questions

    In light of these dates:-

What Temple did Muhammad visit, enter and pray at, before ascending to heaven?

    and Muhammad was never there

In Mohammed's lifetime, Jerusalem was outside the sphere of Islam

Seeing that the Qur'an mentions an alleged journey of Muhammad's to a mosque that did not exist during his lifetime.

  • My dear you are correct that Jerusalem at that time was out of the sphere of Islamic emirate's jurisdictions... To understand about this whole incident I invite you to study the event of 'Mairaaj' (Ascending to the Heavens) in Quran.

  • @agabrielus : Your facts and dates are indeed correct.

Answer to your first question: During the time of mi'raj, there was NO mosque at the location. Masjidil Aqsa (Farthest Mosque) is interpreted by Muslims as referring to the site at the Noble Sanctuary (Temple Mount) in Jerusalem NOT the Dome of Rock built by Amir Abdul Malik.

  • i'm surprised you can just go inside and talk, etc, especially in the well of souls.

  • only certain people can do that, there is a guy explaining the dome of the rock

  • ive always just seen the outside...this is a very nice video with lots of information about it and how it looks like inside. im doing a project in history right now about The Dome of the Rock and this helped me actually know what is inside and how amazing it really is. thank you a lot!!!!!

  • the dome of the rock is by far the most beautiful Islamic structure in the world, followed by taj mahal...

    in my opinion of course.

i think id faint if i saw it in real life. :D

  • I dont know if you would appreciate my comment or not because I am Christian, but I just wanted to say that I have visited the Dome of the Rock, and I know Christians are not allowed to enter. I wondered what it was like inside, and now I know. Thank you for this good video! I dont HAVE to enter to get a good experience from the Dome of the Rock. Jerusalem is one of my favorite places to visit and im going again in March and im very excited!

    Peace, Stephanie
