    best tv programme EVER

  • I have loved David Jason since the early 70's and "Edgar Briggs", for his amazing stunt work and comic timing. This is his most well known example.

Sublime!.(But no mats I believe:It must have hurt!).

  • Along with "Don't tell him Pike" (Dad's Army) still makes everyone laugh. Simply great

  • true legend man!!

  • that is so funny.

  • This was recently voted the funniest moment in British comedy history! It's Del's delivery and Trigger's reaction that makes it such a classic!

  • @SilverSiana lol its because Del didnt know it was closed, they did it during a break. other wise del would have been a bit nervous about falling over lol so it wouldnt have been the same.

  • This was recently voted the funniest moment in British comedy history! It's Del's delivery and Trigger's reaction that makes it such a classic!

  • Does trigger ever find anything amusing?

I cant believe he didnt laugh at that. I noticed they made every other actor in the bar to faced the other way,i am sure its to stop them from bursting in to laughter.

  • I was watching the making of Del Boy and the producer Mr O'sullivan said, durring the filming of the Chanderliere scene,he had to stuffed himself with his handkerchieve just so that he doesnt laugh out loud

  • Classic

  • this is one of the funniest O.F.A.H scenes ever, i love it!

  • what sort of dumass critosized a sitcom because it was 'scripted'? DUH! work it out!

  • umm, he was replying to the person who said it WASN'T scripted.

  • The first time I saw this it seemed so bizarre cos he falls like a stick haha

  • Was voted the funniest moment ever in o.f.h. first class comedy series will never be beaten.

  • for the person underneath who says it's not funny and the one further down who says it was scripted(hello! of course its scripted, it's not real life!) sort yourselves out... it's ace!

  • lol - There will never be another one like this. All the characters were pure class and comedy gold.

  • Saw this for the first time on a flight home to Manchester in March of this year; give me this, "Fawlty Towers" & "Morecambe & Wise" and I'll die a happy man...Thanks for the upload.

  • the dogs bollocks

  • can i add that this WAS written in the scipt. Its just that no-one expected david jason to do it so well!

  • NO! you cant!, oh....you have.

  • Actually no it wasn't, and 'Trigger' was never meant to be in the scene either, he happened to be in another room nearby rehearsing lines for a totally different scene when they called him in and came up with it!!

  • "your cramping my style mate.. your cramping my style!

    sooo funny

  • MAGNIFICRNY!!! Especially Trigger's reaction!

  • One of the classic shows of all time! That scene had me in stitches! LOL!

  • best tv show on earth by a long way

  • its so funny coz he didnt even put his hands out or anything. try doing that without reacting and i bet nearly all of you bottle it

  • lol classic this episode is hilarious nt just because of the bar scence

  • The one behind the bar was meant to put it back down in the script, Del Boy was meant to just lean back on it. But it was so funny, they used that take, legend

  • Oh behave, the whole thing was scripted - the barman was supposed to be in the background, almost so you wouldn't see what he was doing, and there was a crash mat on the floor too. Totally intentional, still funny though.

  • Classic!

  • they didnt even plan that lmao

  • H-I-L-A-R-I-O-U-S!
