i don't even bother to browse cnn or bbc's 100% biased news reports. youtube is just another platform dominated by the west. nobody in China finds any inconvenience to live without it. there are so many video webs in china way better than this.
ppl in china question xinhua's report instinctively, while ppl in the west take their news reports as axioms. a state-controlled media v.s. a group of copycats , who's more pathetic?
If you are happy with only CCTV and the other news your government censors for you- good on you. They say ignorance is bliss- though on these sites it looks a little aggressive too.
It does give a certain perspective for sure- but with multiple persectives perhaps we can get a more accurate picture than just the party line given by the government censored media.
Well Done. All Chinese worldwide should unite against prejudices. The White Hypocrites had it so easy in the past, now is the time to let them know the truth. There are more Happy people living in China than in the US, Canada, UK, France and Germany. These Whine Goons and Thugs are just cowards of the 21th century.
Same question, who did you see was oppressed by China? And if anyone, where did you see it? The media? Right! You should go to Iraq and continue searching for Weapons of Mass Destruction if you still believe the media.
Well,I've been living in China for over 30 years. why can't I see the oppression? I've been to Tibet for more than 10 times as well. In every society, there'll be people who are dissatisfied with their government. By the way, did you get a chance to visit Beijing and Shanghai or coastal provinces and cities? Do you feel envious of the amazing development in China? Shame on you because you are totally blind!!!
那请问你看到什么了? Well if you can't understand the first sentence, I really doubt if you have seen anything true about China. Yes you might have seen it, but never understood.
didn't you see the riot of tibetan mobs? they burn houses, attack innocent ppl and walk on streets with a dagger in hand. you can find a lot of those videos from youtube
but have you seen any single video showing chinese police being violent? i can't find any myself. all i see is those Nepal police beating tibetans video, which is used everytime when western media accusing china's so called oppression. what a lie!
so why do you deny what you can see yourself, and believe in what you can't see?
I saw people a little angry at fifty years of oppression, and I saw the chinese military move in- some places now have 10,000 troops stationed there- and people are terrified to go out. I saw a wide coverage on the range of different media we have in the west- my point is there is no range in china, especially now when they have kicked out all the press so they can do their dirty work with nobody watching.
The purpose of International Law, Human Rights are to bring Peace
Olympic is the consequence of Peace. Olympic does not bring Peace.
Sport is not a Law
Contempting and Scorning the International Law and Human Rights will make the world unrest. And in the future, as Technology can give unabombers a chance to produce dirty/chem/bio/atomic bombers, the world will organize Olympic in HELL
"Contempting and Scorning the International Law and Human Rights will make the world unrest" Where did you see China by any means comtempted or scorned anything? The media? Right! The media with distorted news is what caused all the problems. And that is what initiated all the gathering and protests.
I find this comment is absolutely correct, however makes no direct link to the context of this video. maybe another video on Iraqi War of the States? lol...
The conclusion is that Olympics Game is a peaceful event independence of politics, and the media intentionally used scenes of Nepal to fool people as what happened in Tibet. Both are truth which needs no emotional appeal or anything. And everyone is showing his emotion simply because his motherland is unfairly insulted for things that never happened. You inverted the cause and the result.
Shame on China, Shame on Chinese.

Sure it was peaceful, but what a cause- the continued oppression of people in China and Tibet. Shame on you.

Emotional Appeal
An appeal to emotion is a type of argument which attempts to arouse the emotions of its audience in order to gain acceptance of its conclusion.
There is no doubt that strong emotions can subvert rational thought, and playing upon emotions in an argument is often fallacious.
Appeals to emotion are always fallacious when intended to influence our beliefs, but they are sometimes reasonable when they aim to motivate us to act
