  • Wauw.

  • Wow, fantastic version of this famous song.

  • @LESSISMORE9999 Thank you very much. Glad you liked my additions.

  • I have never commented on a music video before, but must admitted you held me memorised, thank you for that.

  • I want the notes ! please

  • that was so sick! i subscribed

  • This does in fact remind me of "dad"...he used to sing and play this on guitar.Beautifully rendered.

  • @HippieChic1970 Thank you for your kind note. Music is, indeed, the soundtrack of our life.

  • It seems we have a similar taste in music pal.

One of my favourite song ever, and I like your original arrangement.

I'm going to upload my own version of the song, and I'll even sing his time! :D

    Cheers,

    CV74

  • @ConteVlad74 Thanks. I'll check yours out when you upload.

  • Nice!! I am about to purchase the Dgx-640 in 2 weeks but i all ready have a external amp so i won't have to push the factory speakers. I can't wait to here your all piano version.

  • @BIGDADDY36253 Excellent idea to use the amp so you won't be distracted by the weaker on board sound. The best sound of all is when you listen through a good set of amplified headphones. The stereo spaciousness of the DGX is phenomenal and a wonderful listening experience. Good luck with your new keyboard.

  • @BIGDADDY36253 Oh BTW, I just uploaded two versions of another moldy oldy: Unchained Melody by the Righteous Brothers (used in the movie Ghost). I'd be interested in your opinion.

  • Very nicely played. Since I do not come with.

    LG.Manne

  • @manne200925 Thank you.

  • do you have problems with the speakers or vibrations or anything? after reading some comments im confused because some say its amazing but others say they have problems. thanks!

  • @sdkfun414 I did not have any problems with mine, but am aware there have been a few complaints online. Ideally, you would play it through external monitors or a keyboard amp to get the best/maximum sound. Onboard speakers on any keyboards are always going to be extremely limited. I have a suspicion that maybe some people were expecting too much from those small speakers and cranking them up too high. This keyboard IMHO is spectacular for the money. Buy from a place that will take a return.

  • this is awesome X]

very well played, personally i would have kept out the drums and strings to go wth a natural piano sound but it still sounds great, and man i want that keyboard so bad lol

  • @themusicstory Thanks for your impressions. I'm always debating with myself whether I should do a song with natural piano or with accompaniments. I am currently working on a couple of original compositions where I plan to do two versions, one just clean piano sound and the other the full wall of sound effect where I go in with all my favorite patches and effects and keep layering them in real time. I enjoy doing both.

  • @Halunlimited

thats cool.... one for each type of person haha

i think it really doesnt matter as long as you have fun doing what your doing

keep up the good music :]

  • WOW, just fantastic.

  • @sigoau Thank you. Glad you like it.

  • play good!!

  • @amylin77 Thank you.

  • @amylin77 Thank you.

  • Хорошо что есть такие люди.очень здорово,мне понравилось.

  • @Akme50 Google translation: It is well that there are lyudi.ochen cool, I liked it. My response: I don't know what lyudi.ochen is but I like the "cool" and the "I liked it" part. Thank you for your comment.

  • Я новичёк. как скачать?немогу понять.

  • @Akme50 Google translation: I am a novice. How to download? can not understand. My Answer: Type "How to download youtube video" into your search engine and you will see much help. Thank you for listening.

  • @TheCocteautwin1975 Thanks much for commenting. You might also enjoy my more contemporary upload: "Human" - The Killers - Extra Mellow Version #2 (Synth Instrumental with Choruses and Strings).

  • Hi Hal, you've done a great job with this classic, I loved your three " movements ". There is a new subscriber on your channel. Thumbs up.

    Cheers Eric

  • @STUDIOCHINCHAN Thank you very much. If it weren't for you (and other music friends) I wouldn't have reached the 200 subscribers point yesterday. I recently put up my first edited music video "FunkySaurus Groove". It's totally different. Check it out when you have a chance.

  • When I was but a lad I fell in love with this song so much I played it and played it and drove everyone crazy! I still love it! Thanks for taking me back to my youth. I like your arrangement a lot! It works!

  • @PhillipLWilcher Those were the days my friend. We thought they'd never end... Oh yes those were the days. Thanks for your comment.

  • @Halunlimited Bravo - we'd sing and dance for ever and a day!

    Mike from Italy

  • @mikefox1974 Thanks much Mike!

  • very good playing man one of the best ive heard, nice piano sound.

  • @paulallen34 Thanks much. Glad you enjoyed it.

  • Love this song. Any way I can get this music sheet? Not any old Animals' version, but your version. Love how you play this song.

  • Thanks for your thoughts. I picked it all out by ear and did not write anything down. You can view this in large screen mode and view my right hand notes and chords for a general idea. Good luck.

  • Cool, very cool! I like your robot as well!!

I have a keyboard just like this one and I love it.

    James

  • Thank you for your kind comments.

  • I remember when this first came out and was and am a great fan of this song and the Animals in general, but you have done great here as well. It's always great to find new ways to enjoy older music. It doesn't take away from what has already been done, that we will always have!!! Great work!!!

    Charles (James's Dad)

  • The first 40 seconds were the best, iam the kind of person who just likes the sound of the piano when playing this song in particular. This song doesn't really need any "add ons" like in this video.

  • Thx. I go through different musical moods myself laying the same piece. Sometimes I just like to hear the pure unaccompanied piano sound. Other times I like to floor it and hear a simulated Phil Spector Wall of Sound saturation coming from layered patches. I play this particular song both ways for myself.

  • Beautiful. It's great how you can play the piano within orchestra. :)

  • Thank you. Yes Yamaha's orchestral sounds add great depth and dimension to playing music on the keyboard.

  • can u put sounds from this keyboard into ur computer like a software program like fl studio?? BTW man ur amazing i that doll, it make ur videos unique and its like own little sign.

  • Yes you can. You can use the headphone out jack or the USB out. I've used it with Garage Band software directly from the headphone out jack. I haven't done any professional recording work so you might want to do more research if you need to get the highest quality output. Thanks for your comment.

  • wow...yours has a nice sound quality. I must have a speaker problem or something.

  • I record all these songs without a microphone so you're not hearing the onboard speakers at all. I record directly from the keyboard "phone out" line which goes into the recording computer (PC or Mac) "mic in" line, using a "Y" splitter to simultaneously connect to a headphone for live monitoring. If you listen to your keyboard through good stereo headphones, it will sound just as good. Onboard speakers can't compare. You could also connect the keyboard to amplified external speakers.

  • very nice :)

  • Thank you.

  • Can this keyboard be plugged into amps? I know it has built in speakers, but if you're playing with a full band, the built-ins aren't loud enough.....Btw this is amazing....keep up the great work!!

  • Yes, although there isn't a dedicated jack on the YPG for speaker hookup, you can run a stereo cable out of the headphone jack and then to your amp. You have to figure out the ideal keyboard volume vs. amp volume to get the best sound. I also connected it to my home stereo in the same way to play it in surround sound. Good luck.

  • Does this piano come with a stand and pedals Hal? just a question from an interested buyer

  • Yes it comes with a built-in dedicated stand and a single pedal. However, I strongly recommend buying the optional Yamaha FC-4 heavy duty pedal. The one that comes with the keyboard is very lightweight and will move all over the floor whereas the FC-4 will stay firmly in place. The newer model YPG-635 also has the option of adding the LP7 triple pedal which is good if you want a concert piano feel. Then, of course you wouldn't need the FC-4. I've only used the FC-4. Good luck.

  • perfect

  • Thanks for sharing the thought.

  • Great production here my friend.

Feel badly for you about the problem your having with the keyboard. I own many Yamaha keyboards and they are built like tanks. Keep putting pressure on them by calling them. TRY AGAIN !

Ask to speak to a tech !

    I enjoyed this .

    Dave.

  • My personal experience has been totally positive with my Yamaha YPG-625, zero problems, and felt it was a great value for the money. It's unfortunate that some people like cobyup10 had bad luck with their newer 635. Thanks for your positive comment on my House of the Rising Sun alteration.

  • very good! I like the way you play the song^^

  • Thanks very much, nice of you to comment. Check out my "Human - Extra mellow version Part 2" by the Killers, for something newer.

  • I've recently had a terrible experience with the Yamaha YPG-635. It has developed three scratching keys and the speaker system rattles all the components-terrible quality. And Yamaha won't cover me on warranty. So if you know anyone considering buying one spread the word. We need to stop these huge corporations from robbing us blind. Time to buy a Roland I guess..

  • Sorry to hear about your YPG problems. Mine is the older YPG-625 and I fortunately had no problems at all. However, I have recently read some other posts from people who had your same rattle problem with the 635. I'm surprised Yamaha is not backing you on this. I would keep trying to contact different people at Yamaha until you reach someone who can help you. Have you talked to your retailer for help? Good luck.

  • hey man, great! what's the type of your keyboard?

I have yamaga Dgx -220 and its very similar to yours but yours is playing much bettrer:)

  • i think he plays a YGP-635 or a DGX630 (same thing i think). i want one soooo bad! but it's like 900 bucks :( ... Awesome version of this song, very well-played, I like what this keyboard can do :P

  • I'm playing the YPG 625 which is now replaced by the 635. I'm sure you can get a real good deal on the 625 used now if you check Craigslist etc. The 635 is not that much different, except for the increased poyphony which may or may not be important to you. Good luck. Thanks for your comment.

  • Mine is the YPG 625. The YPG 635 is the newer upgraded model.

  • It's the YPG-625, similar family as your DGX.

  • amo este tema, y amo el piano excelente version!!!!

  • Thanks much.

  • could you please make a tutorial for this song. recently i have been learning a variety of different songs, and this would still be the one i want to learn the most. dont worry i will tell people you make this version if they ask.

  • Thx for your interest. I just picked it out by trial and error and my camera is built into my desktop so I couldn't make a bird's eye view. But you can do a full enlarge of the video and see more detail as to what notes my hands are playing. There might be some tutorials on YT already playing the song as a cover. Mine has a lot of additional movements of my own. Good luck.

  • Man do you have a career or what, amazing. Dwight.

  • Thanks

  • dude that was awesome.

  • Thanks for the note. I put up a new cover of "Human" on my YouTube Homepage. Check it out.

  • Amazing bro 5 stars! I sent you a message if you dont mind it.

    John

  • I think it was the best "house of the rising sun" playing I ever heared:)

    5*****

  • Thanks much for your kind comment. When you have a chance, check out my "Close Encounters of the Third Kind Extraterrestrial Mood Music. Be well.

  • Can you give me an adress to look at your "Close Encounters" pls?

  • I have found it^^

  • dude how do you do things like that?!?! trial an error i thought u was grade 8 im just learning house of the risign sun and its an easy version uve gotta send me the notes u used i realy liked your version

  • Thanks. Sorry I don't have any notes for it and don't even know the chord names for it. Just kept picking away at it till it came out the way I wanted it to.

  • do you take piano lessons? and i could try and show you chord basis so it can be easier for you to play your wonderful music =)

  • I loved you music keep playing dude

  • this song reminds me of my mom

  • Thanks. That sounds like a compliment.

  • oh it is lmbo

  • This is very beautiful! Must be my favourite version of this song (maybe bacause I love piano music, but you made alot variation in this, so I don't get tired of it after 2 minutes)

  • Thanks for your nice note. Check out my Close Encounters of the Third Kind and see what you think.

  • darn you typo!

  • YPG 635 I mean.

  • YPG is a great value. Check out my "Close Encounters of the Third Kind" composition and the variety of voice effects I used on it for demonstration. I performed the entire piece live with zero track sequencing, all was played at one time, straight through. Yamaha piano sound is excellent. Great all around instrument. Everything in music, of course, is in the ear of the beholder. If you have special needs, then it's best to find out what instrument/tool is best for the job. Good luck.

  • I've been looking for a piano and I was wondering what your thoughts were on the YPG 650. So, how is it?

  • Loved it. Excellent!

  • Thanks for the feedback. Be well.

  • Hey, this was great! You know what im going to do when i get better on guitar and better on the computer stuff. I'll take this video as background track and add a solo improvise! And dude we would be famous! Nah, but seriously, this could be the best background track!

You should add a solo by the way, would be the best!

  • Thanks. I look forward to hearing your solo improv. Send me a note when you post it so I can check it out. Kindly give credit to "HalUnlimited at YouTube" for the main piece in your description. Thanks.

  • Ofcourse i will wrote that! I'll also give a link. ;)

But it will take time, and if i have time and feel like it then also. Because right now i don't imrpovise so good on soloing! Im learning it right now.. So don't have expectation on me.

  • yeah man, i just figured out the basic chords you use. got to say i like your version 50x better. ill be waiting for the tutorial. cant wait. still 5/5

  • That's a phenomenal deal you got. The driver should be on their website, however, if it's not easy to find, call up their customer service, and ask them to send you the CD that has the drivers on it. Or check ebay for the CD. You can also get the manual free as a pdf on the Yamaha site. Good luck with your new keys. Enjoy.

  • I just got my 625 this week! Got the floor model for $500. Only problem was no driver for the comp... Any idea where I can find one? Yamaha's site sucks for info on it. Great job btw! I hope to learn to play myself!

  • Check out my reply below.

  • wow, this is excellent, a tutorial for this would be very very helpful 5/5

  • Thanks. When I get good enough to play the level I really want to play I'll be happy to put up a tutorial. I've been picking out everything by ear and don't even have the notes written down. I just keep working on each piece by trial and error.

  • Bravo !!!

  • Thanks. Nice of you to comment.

  • cool!!! when did u buy that synthesizer and for how much money? hehe

  • Thanks. Bought it about 8 months ago for $800 including useful accessories. Check out my original "Homage to ET" which demonstrates a lot of this keyboard's voices and let me know what you think.

  • nice 5/5. u helped me alot.

  • 5 stars!

  • I love your arrangement! And this fantastic piano adds everything you need in the backround. Amazing! Great work!

  • Sounded great! keep it com'in

  • Thanks for the encouragement

  • Nice one, as always!

  • Thanks. I appreciate your appreciation.

  • Great, really, really great!

    You play very good!

I hear it the 6th time now and I still love it!

  • What do you mean by newbie? :)

You surly must have some experience??

I have listened to it 5-6 times now, great to have in the background when online :)

  • I dont think you will get booed of any time soon, haha ;)) This was awsome. Sounds just like an western classic, did you use that as a brick to improvise from?? :) It was really great! You gona get ALOT of subscribers with that kind of playing :) 5st
