  • nom nom nom

  • Singapore zoo?! Singapore zoo? My country? How come I never saw any T.T

  • Stupidfox brought me here.

  • @pokeloverz nice, you got a thumbs down for that :D

  • @Chibisavv Yaaaay!~

  • PPLS, bats are MORE realated to hUmans than rodents. And the "blind as a bat" thing is NOT true.

  • @Dragon101Dd Bats are mostly blind. That doesn't mean that they don't know where things are, (they use their ears,) but it has been scientifically proven that a bat's eyes are of very little use.

  • i want one so badly :(

  • Omg flying foxes are super huge wow

  • I love bats!!!

  • Nice nanas

  • Those flying foxes are the most awesome animals evah. I'd have one as a pet if they didn't have such an epic wingspan.

  • That's what they eat.

  • I wish all bats were like that. Big, harmless, slow, relaxed, and not in my house.

    Aw.

  • no stupid, they're wingspan is 5 feet.

  • Saw one of those animals in the Vavau Islands of Tonga near Nuka'laofa. I swear, when I took the picture, one of them spread their wings for me! A "Dracula" moment!

  • i read the title as "flying fox bat-eating fruit", so i expected some kind of bat-eating plant. now i am sorely disappointed. damn my imagination.

  • A bat-eating fruit ahahaha. XD

  • what's funny about it?

  • It's sodamnadorable!

  • When you read the title the first time it sounds like the video is about some bat eating plants like the venus fly trap.

  • I actually heard that they are technically a crustacean.

  • nope, they're mammals. They're actually closely related to primates.

  • WTF

  • that is the stupidest thing I've ever read.

  • @igotbored44 ur the ugilest peice of shit ever

  • @moralclores Unlikely.

Who are you anyway, you don't look like you have a very good reason to say that. So fuck off.

  • cool

  • I love how the bat's like, "Sup."

  • actualy flying foxes are not bats they are more releted with lemurs

  • That's just not true. They are from the family Pteropodidaeand the genus Pteropus. The family of bats. That makes it a bat. ta da.

  • then why do they not have sonar, eat fruit, have good eye-sight and that the latest DNA test indicates they are more releted to primates

  • Just because you see them around your house, it doesn't mean they're not endangered. Jeeze!

  • they arent endagered

they travel in packs of 100.

    and packs are spotted everywhere.

so there are hundreds, the australian ones anyways.

  • If animals are measured in 100s, that means they're endangered.

  • it isnt measured

    thats just nature

    theve always done that

  • More amazing than these animals is the fact that I have never seen a youtube video without an argument going on in the comments, about everything. It's a flying fox eating fruit. Did I miss something? lol

  • No longer endangered.

  • Very cute.

  • can u actually have them as pets? I'd love to have one or two ..I was always in love with bats

  • No, because they are an endangered species.

  • ohh ...shame ..I 'm really good with animals , I treat them as I like to be treated :-)

  • holy shit that bat was freakin starving, i could tell by its hungry squeaks, it was tearing up some fruit like nobody's business

  • They're beautiful bats.

  • Flying foxes are quite simply adorable.

  • beautiful

  • Well that's the way human brains are wired. We try to see a link between events, and come up with an explanation as to why it happened, be it for good or ill.

  • Human brains are capable of abstract thought. This means we can look at a tree and think of it as other things. An animal would see a tree as just a tree.

  • Because animals do not make furniture out of wood as we do.

  • but they make tools out of wood too ...and other things ...I think that u need to read a little more about other animals .

Lot's of animals are very intelligent but their body shape doesn't allow them to show it ...don 't forget that we have the opposite thum which help us a lots

  • They don't 'make' tools, they just utilize things such as rocks and twigs. Having opposible thumbs has helped us reach the top of the food chain, but also having intelligence and abstract thought has also played a bigger part.

  • chimpanzee makes tools , they make a poited stick with their teeths. We are just lucky to have the opposite thum . How would u expect a pig to make things ??? with the nose ??? hahaha and dolpin then ?? also with the nose . u 're funny XD

  • top of food chain ??? hahaha human beens have to feel always so important , but it is noet like that ...it depends on the eviroment .

insects are going to eat us when we die ..always.what about germs ??? they 're animals too , live creature ...hahaha

we are only the dominating one between the big animals , for now !!! but things always change , notthing stay the same hihihi

  • Upon viewing your profile, I can only guess that you are mad.

    Good Day.

  • upon vieuwing your profile I* can only guess u are ignorant.

    Better mad that ignorant

    good day

  • Reading all that you've written, it honestly seems like YOU, in fact, are the ignorant one.

  • It's kind been proven that bats are very closely related to people. In fact, flying foxes share an interesting brain composition with primates.

  • Why can`t people just understand that animals are just like humans, and should not have a bad name just because people are stupid enough to go in to the animals territory. Then they get attacked for there stupidity then the animal gets the blame and is seen an evil.Fuckin people.argh!!!!

  • Yes, good point. This has happened a lot and one local animal learning center near me was shut down for this very reason.

Really they aren't that different. People need to read up on animals before passing judgment on them.

  • all bats for that matter have higher potential of brain power than humans do ironically...they just do not have the bodies to work as we do...

proven fact, a bat could pick up a concept in less than 10 seconds...humans would take anywhere from such a length to several hours O_o...

    bats for the win_^_'

  • That's what I keep telling people. I've got a video of a baby flying fox my mum raised and I was suprised how many coments I got saying 'that's not a fox, that's a bat!"
