Bandon is a nice town, it's actually a great place. I wouldn't want to live right on the beach because it's extremely windy pretty much daily, and the temps only reach about 67, but when you go to where there is neighborhoods it's not as windy. I want to live there some day, if this economy ever gets better, the year round temps are in the 60's, 70's, couldn't ask for better temps.
Sadly, we don't have a real movie theater, and, unfortunately, winter makes us kind of bored because we get a lot of rain and wind. We just had a magnificent event (Cycle Oregon) where three thousand bicycle riders and their friends visited and enjoyed our hospitality. I live one block away from the beach, at the top of a cliff, at Coquille Point. I came here from L.A in 2003 and since then I've been in love with this place.
Bandon Oregon is considered among the best 10 places to live in the USA. NBC filmed, and planned to air such fact on national television, but due to "whining" of the rich and comfortable retirees, who did not want more people coming and live here, (the way we live is peaceful and in a beautiful way), and people discovering this little paradise would mess up their retirement.
Anyway, the town is owned by our young people who enjoy walks on our beautiful beaches, and enjoy our magnificent
Great place. Our cross country is one of the best.

I met a guy from Bandon when he was on Vacation here in Victoria, B.C. He was a pretty nice guy, wearing Ducks gear!
He told me a little about Bandon and it was very titillating to hear about this quaint town in southern Oregon - one day i'd like to visit this town.
Greetings from Canada.
