  • @paoiedude Hi thanks. I use manual, 100th second and around f8, then set the iso to expose the background correctly with the available light. Then spot meter off the bride's face with the flash.

  • @paoiedude You mean when you can't use flash? Well, first of all, negotiate in advance to allow flash where ever possible. The general trend (with both priests and registrars) seems to to be to allow more use nowdays, so I always chat them up first. When you really can't, then I tend to use manual, iso 1600 (or 3200 if it's dire) and shoot wide open (i've lenses down to f1.8). Look out for the little pools of light and use them. Take grain over a blurry shot, every time. Good luck, Mike
