Hi, umm... if you look closely at the angelfishes heads, you'll see a hump over the eyes that connect it to the dorsal fin. If you don't see the hump and it is just a flat line going up to the dorsal fin....then it is a female. The one with the hump is the male. That's how i always tell.
We took the eggs out of the community tank and put them in a $12 plastic tank to hatch. So far so good. We got babies, just don't know how many since they're all but invisible until I catch one when cleaning the bottom of the tank! Nursery tanks are bare bottomed, very low tech....and EASY to hatch the fish in. This is our first try.
hey do you how many angle fish i cld have in a 46 gallon bowfront tank i was thinking 4angel fish and a clown knife fish

How'd things go? I'm doing the same and my first batch only 5 survived (see my vid of them) the second batch is just now free swimming

naw the next day they were gone. its goin to take a while before i get them their own tank. we'll see.

yeah the same thing happened in my community tank so i seperated them and they just now laid eggs again and they're doin fine
