i dont think its being underpowered, if it is its not by much. and yeah plz put that thing in the truck. will sound a lot better unless everything in ur truck rattles like mine.
You really need to turn this around and set it more into the trunk. Air pressure is almost everything when it comes to deep sounding car filling bass. Having it in the trunk and faced toward the rear will make it sound twice as good.
You could make that sub hit SOOO much harder. I own a 12" Infinity with a custom slot ported box and it hits 4x harder than that. The box makes the sub and you need a batter box. Have a professional do it. Also, turn your enclosure around. When the sound bounces off a surface it comes back louder and harder. Good luck man! If you want to see some pics let me know.
I dont have my car out yet but I wioll try and post a new vid with two of these subs ran off an infinity ref 1211a amp. I will put them in my truck to take the vid. Later.
inifinty kappa is low watts but over all infinty makes great car audio this is a nice sub you should think about getting the REF1252W or 1250W those both are decent i think 300 watts rms and 1000 peak power??? but this is nice too 200 somethin watts constant not bad i like infinity alpines kickers and rockfords make nice subs to man audiobahns are nice too...so are kenwoods...and the jensen xs is nice too i like alotta subs man but yours is nice dont listen to neg feedback they're just haters...
I hear you! These subs can take alot more juice than their rated for. 350W RMS but I have pushed 700W RMS to it and it didnt even get warm. They are a good buy but more for an SQ person rather than all SPL.
Im think of buying the kappas i was looking at them today if i do do you have any suggestions of what amp to run and enclosure im planning on getting 2 12's kappas
I would stick with sealed. These subs are pretty acurate and you would miss out on that with a vented box. Unless you only care about SPL? I am now running two of these subs with an Infinity 1211a mono amp. 1300W RMS. They sound nice! I will post a new vid soon. I set the gain at 700W RMS but they can handle the 1300 no problem.
I am going to run two of these subs off an Infinity Reference 1211a amp. You will all cringe but I will be runing 1300w rms between the two subs. I know there only rated for 35W RMS per sub but I called Infinity and they said they can hndle it as long as its clean and I dont crank everything to the max. I will have it set up this spring.
The box is only a 1.0 cui. I think I might get a new amp and another Kappa and run two of these. Im using a class a/b amp right now, I need to get a good class d with some juice.
yeah dude most of the car subs infinity makes are pretty stiff, so you need a lot to juice 'em in a small sealed box. You don't need much more but there's no harm in having a little headroom now is there :)
how many watts is you amp and sub? I have one sub that looks like that one but cant remember how many watts it is, and the enclosure is a sealed one, you know that one that has the Plexiglas.
I had these subs and on the back it says 350w RMS and 1250w PEAK

NO, it is a kappa it is not a kappa PERFECT, but it is a kappa.
Alex0992 3 years ago
FYI, infinity reference subs are silver not gold.
Alex0992 3 years ago
just go to the website and you will see what i'm talking about.

You are dumb
Alex0992 3 years ago
Jackass I never said it was a kappa perfect I said it was a reference. LOOK AT THEIR WEBSITE.
freegibran 3 years ago
Dude a reference sub is SILVER. A kappa sub is GOLD(like the one in the video). A kappa perfect is WHITE.
Understand... you stupid son of a bitch?
Alex0992 3 years ago
It's conveniently easy to say that shit online isn't it?

Nahh, it would be easier to say it to your face and then kick your ass.
