youd didnt cut off his tail when is was a baby...i have german shorthair an his tail was cut off when he was born ( its like 3 inches).. i always wondered what they would look like with the full tail

I love a Pointer with their full tail. Would you want a part of you cut off? Treat others exactly as you would want to be treated. And don't tell me cutting a ear or docking a tail is not painful - you do it to yourself first. What a cute dog - very beautiful. Mine lived 18-20 years (We had him 15 short years) and are now adopting another one. There are many that need homes, check out Pointer Rescue. Neuter, Spay, Adopt. Don't add to the 8m dogs & cats we kill ea year in America alone.

@ofcelticblood ... Why do people feel the need to lecture others on videos that are meant to be joyful? Did you ever consider that the owner of this dog could not help that the tail was cut short? It happens at THREE DAYS OLD! We can't exactly stop some one from docking a tail when it has already happened. Maybe you should go talk to breeders instead of bothering an owner who loves their dog, no matter how short his tail is?

Good looking GSP. I've had them for 22 years, such a great breed. His tail seems a bit too long :). just my opinion though.

I probably have watched this video more than 10 times this past 4 months. I used to have a GSP as a child, and they truly leave a tender spot in your life. Its been almost 3 years now that we have lost our pup, but this video makes me happy and makes me remember all the good times I had with our dog.

I love my GSP... She is clumsy, stupid looking, doesn't play with toys, but I love her. I have had her for 7 years and will never find such a wonderful dog again.

I love GSP I had on that passed in Nov. and my uncle has 5. If you dont have one you think they are crazy but I have never met and owner has wasnt completly in love with there pointer.

@Angelhaven95 I have 2 GSPs, my male is 6 1/2 and my female is 3. I'm thrilled to know that they might live that long! They are the most awesome dogs and they keep us laughing!

@GSPMom1 I agree, ours is just the sweetist dog I have ever known. Now, he does have a pretty serious heart condition which we have to control with meds and proper diet (aka very expensive dog food from the vet). But he is still lively and feeling pretty good for his age. We keep him in the bed with us at night, and pet his heat. It helps him stay calm. I hope yours live a long healthy life! take care.

ive had 3 GSPs in my life so far, and i love them all, our current pup Remy whos almost 2 is about 55 lbs. and insists on body cheacking you in the bed.

I've got an 11 month old male puppy. I must say that these dogs are a high energy breed. They can run for hours and they love it. If you own one you'll know what i'm talking about. Nice pup by the way.

Believe me it will take about 10 years for that pup to calm down finally. I know, I had one and when she was around 10, 11 years old she started to chill out finally. Unfortunately she's a little over 13 now and she's getting cataracts in her eyes. This year is probably the last year she'll be around.

beautiful dog, I have 2 of them. My wife and I lost our shorthair hank on sept 11th 06 and it was like losing a family member,it was the worst. We called our breader and had our male mate with one of his females for the pick of the litter.she had 4 pups, 3 male and 1 female..The female was just plain awesome but I couldnt have a female-so now our dog jagger has his own son Jack..Jagger was so heartbroken when hank died we just had to get him a buddy.I wish your dog a long long happy life..
