  • plastic mock up of a shoe?touching hair didnt apeal to me ? lol seriously its a demonstration

video you clown and who eats gumpaste anyway ?? its edible but not palatable what a douchebag

  • Thanks for sharing. I think its awesome that you did this. Many Cake makers don't give the secrets to success. I appreciate the time you took to make this.

  • nice

  • could you use fondent instead of gumpaste?

  • @Visualparaparakei I have mad a shoe with fondant.. just add I teaspoon of tylose or gum tragacanth per 500 gms of fondant.. will set as gum paste

  • @helenh20mo oops made..

  • @Visualparaparakei its the same thing

  • They actually sell the shoe making kits; but like you, I also found a way to make the shoe without purchashing supplies! You rock! Great video, very informative! Thanks!

  • dried for about a week? is that good?

  • Interesting video, but using real shoe or an old shoe doesn't appeal to me. A plastic mock up of a shoe would have been better. Also, touching the hair while working with edible foods didn't appeal to me either.

  • @efrejas You know of foods that are not edible?

  • I've noticed in these cake videos that cake makers frequently rub their fingers, nails and hands all over the fondant and gum paste, repeatedly. In this video, she's rubbing her fingers all over it, touching the sides, bottom & heel of the shoe, kitchen tools, then she rubs her fingers all along the gum paste again, leaving fingerprint. She's even re-bagging gum paste she's cut, and rubbed, to be cut and rubbed again on another cake. After watching this video, I don;t want to eat bakery cake...

  • @BCCWritingClass They always scrub here hands and serilyse them first

  • @BCCWritingClass As previously stated.. they sterilise their hands... even though you may not see it, I am sure that hands are washed inbetween shots.. I know that I handle icing and always wash during the proceedure.

  • @BCCWritingClass If you can't handle the thought of people touching your food then you'd better start growing your own veggies, raising your own livestock, and cooking everything by hand. Good luck with that.

  • what if someone had tried on the show at the store? I would have put saran wrap in between the shoe and cake material. It's icky to make a cake on a shoe.

  • I don't like the camerawork much. Smooth zooming is much better, and more precise. Good focus though.

  • can you use fondant or does it have to be gumpaste?

  • @HedleySk8er I imagine it could only be gumpaste. Fondant would be too soft, it wouldn't hold its form...

  • Muito bom os seus vídeos ! Beijos do Brasil

  • so this cake takes about 5 yrs to make?!lol

  • Hi,

I just think it is gross that you used a real shoe it looks like it was worn so when it has to dry for a week doesnt it absorb all the foot stuff?

  • @GypsyRobert : So very true robert !

  • @GypsyRobert I'm sure she cleaned it... and what 'foot stuff'? Feet don't just ooze mucus over everything?

  • where do you get modeling chocolate

  • Thank you so much for the demonstration. It is very helpful.

  • cool

  • Hello, your video is very good but I was wondering if the fondent after being in the fridge, and a half on the cake is not oozing? Know I'm doing all the cake and I made the chocolate ganache with the cream but I'm afraid that I leave out of refrigerator to thaw the pie is hot right now, then please tell me how to keep it even after being decorated! thank you very much! I make good use of the excuse traductor I understand English but are not good at writing

  • Okay, so to bake this cake takes about 2-3 weeks???

  • i have yet to find out which part of this is cake...

  • hi, where do you put the stuff to dry? fridge, freezer? do you need to cover it or can i just put them on plates? thanks :)

  • thats a real sole shoe???

  • very helpful video but whoever holds the camera moves it and zooms in and out to much

  • @kat1528 Lol I swear some people knit pick over everything. Thanks for the informative video, it doesn't matter about the camera, you freely took your time to show us how to do this, so you should not be required to have a professional do the video! LOL

  • @cammicty I wasn't trying to knit pick I was just trying to be helpful the camera movement makes it very difficult to watch especially if you have to be on medication that already makes you sick and I did say that her video was very helpful I never asked for it to be professionally filmed so please don't exaggerate if anyone is nit picking its you on a very insignificant comment

  • Can I do the first two steps right away? or do I need to wait I week each.

  • if i am using the store bought gum-paste i dont have to wait a week do i?

  • how much of this cake is actually edible? is modeling chalk, gumpaste, or that tilos stuff?

  • how much time does it take to make this???

  • @rhonda1304 probably like a couple weeks, like 4-6

  • wont your heel shoe stink up the paste? :)
