  • With the simplified left hand, this no longer qualifies as an "invention."

    Still, good beginner piece.

  • terror and pain

  • very nice, best interpretation i heard on here. beginner or not i enjoyed the slow pace

  • Hey that was nice!!!!!!!!!! Can u put Invention in A minor by frederick silvester invention no.2

  • I agree with Belamus, totally.

As a pianist ... this is an insult to Bach to simplify his music.

BUT, the work done by this player is good :) Thanks for sharing, still !

  • simplifying bach's music for beginners is the most moronic idea ever conceived by man. bach's music is perfect the way he wrote it. and yes, most of it, including his simplest keyboard works like the inventions, is quite challenging. his music is not for absolute beginners, and creating such versions of the music effectively amounts to bastardizing a master's work. shame on you for even thinking of doing this.

  • Hey, there's no need to be rude :(

  • This has a very beautiful melody! Thanks.

  • Good playing.

  • what? this is a disaster!

  • @Maumusica

it sure is. im a lousy pianist, and i played this better 10 years ago.

  • But with this simple version it gives a perfect window of opportunity for beginners to even begin to play this song..

    Perfection comes later..

Play it now instead of not ever.. YES???

Also I bet you all mucho bucks that this piano player can play this piece very well and is only doing it simple to give people who want to learn it an idea of the base line and what to expect.. And give them a chance to learn it..

  • GOD you people are friggin' restarted!!

How do you expect a beginner to learn??

You start simple and move up one step at a time..

That is how I have been learning..

Start simple (boom boom boom) base lines and melody.. Then add the more complicated base stuff later after you can play the simple stuff.. Someone new isn't going to jump on a piano and play this perfect without missing a note from the start.. And the right way to play it can seem impossible to a beginner and they may give it up!

  • my goddd worst version everrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

  • What's the point of learning like that? It's not the real thing, if you can't play the proper thing leave to those who can! Beginners, my bum! Go and learn some real beginner's stuff.

  • you could always make this faster if you wanted. Would that make you people Happier? Lmao. Its for Begginers. =]

  • Perhaps youtube users should read the notes to the right of the video, before posting comments about how wrong the piece is being played. Clearly it is a reference for beginners wanting to learn this song with a simplified bass-hand and slower tempo.

  • what's the point?

  • it's very slow!

aunque a mi me sale mas lento xDxD

  • badly out of sync

  • aww come on!

I thought he played the piece with a lot of feeling behind it..

Alot of people just play a piece as if they are robots or machines..

Let's not forget music is an art..

And the player is art just as much as the piece they play is art..

If you can't admire the artist playing the piece then how can you tell the difference of where there is art and what is considered perfection? Rather than peg any negatives why don't you try looking at what a fine pianist this person is.

  • Good :d

  • Me da asco tu interpretacion

  • it's very SLOW!!!

  • Well, I have nothing against somplifiyng, but when you take away the whole musical idea of the song, it becomes a bit =/. Nicely played, but rather an easy song, with the whole theme ^^

  • Brilliant well done, it may not be the 'full'

version but it's still good - don't listen

to the small minded people making negative

    comments

  • Nice video, very clear!

  • this is the simpler version..

  • it took me 2 months playing this (2 hands) i've been playing the piano for about 7 months or so

  • yeah this is the simple version. The real version by bach himself has tons of accidentals and key changes, and i dont think a person who played for 7 months could've pulled it off.. unless your a prodigy or something lol

i learned the hard version in a couple weeks to a month, but i've been playing for nine years..

  • I have.

  • the real version? haha ok....

  • Yeah the real version.

    This version sucks

  • yeah it does lol

    i agree....

  • This simplification is a completely wrongheaded idea that is only harmful to the music student. The way to simplify a piece is to practice the two hands separately. Focusing on the right hand part only only---and worse, giving the left hand some substitute baloney to play at the same time---is completely counterproductive. You can learn this piece. I'm a piano newbie (8 months) and got this piece down in about six weeks of practice.

  • I'm going to have an exams for next month.. how long each day did you practice, to finish this song perfectly ? but i thing this guy play it so separated, i think this not how the song heard like..

  • left hand is not right

  • finaly a piece that is slower than all these idiots trying to show off

  • is it from midisoft playpiano right??

  • As far as an educational video, I believe it was well done. I was about to post a comment about the simplified version of it, but this is really a good idea, a sort of "first step" into Bach inventions. To avoid so much negative comments, maybe consider putting that it's simplified in the title-- might make matters easier.

  • Where is the invention? Theres no invention so how can it be educational!!

  • Lol, I could play this way faster! It sounds better while played faster.

  • this is the easy version!!!

  • my gran ealks faster thean that is play and put a feeling into it

  • Lol!

  • The video does not match the sound, so it looks fake when it probably isn't. Probably a codec decoding problem?

  • Very Clear! Well Done. Good Fingering

  • The ignorance of the comments makes me very sad. This video was made in an effort to help people LEARN how to play this. It is slow, so that the hands can be studied. Please read descriptions before posting comments. Why discourage someone who is trying to help pepople? :-(

  • now if you stared reading this dont stop its really scarey!ok send this to five other videos in 143 minutes. When you are done press F6 and your crushes name will apear on the screen in big letters this is weird because it does work.If you break this chance you wont have a crush in the next five years

  • omg you removed the melody from the left hand, its not an invention anymore;/

  • this is crap.

  • good man

  • Did you teach yourself. This my favorite Bach Inventions It took me 4 months to learn this with both hands. Nice piano!

  • dude... 4 months... mite take me lke a whole YEAR!! im tryin to be able 2 pull it off b4 my next recital but it mite not happen...

  • the whole point of a bach invention was to have counterpoint, i.e., left and right hand melodies going together. you simply cant edit the left hand out

  • it's a TWO part invention. i can only hear one

  • ya, it kinda sounds bare without the left hand part... But good playing

  • hey!!! what happened to the real left hand melody?? why didn´t you play it??? it sounds really odd wihtout it

  • u should play it faster ur good but u gotta play with feeling it makes it sound more lively

  • This is an educational vid to teach people how to play it... Read descriptions. ;-)
