Having worked in the countryside on an estate and regulary needing to burn large amounts of vegetable and occasionaly animal matter, I know that this is impossible in a short time. What is needed with wet matter (ie natural and in a natural environment) is a slow fire that can actually take days to burn say a mere few metres squared.

Having worked in the countryside on an estate and regulary needing to burn large amounts of vegetable and occasionaly animal matter, I know that this is impossible in a short time. What is needed with wet matter (ie natural and in a natural environment) is a slow fire that can actually take days to burn say a mere few metres squared.

These 4 krema housed an additional 46 ovens. Kremas 2 and 3 each had 5 triple muffle furnaces(15 ovens each). While kremas 4 and 5 each had a single 8 muffle furnace(8 ovens in each). All were designed for large scale cremation.

However, the crematoriums in Auschwitz were not standard, they were huge industrial incinerators designed to have the capacity to dispose of thousands of corpses a day, which is well documented.
