IF I HAD A MILLION DOLLARS: I WOULD CONVERT THAT FIAT SHIT TO SILVER & GOLD.
US dollar is collapsing you sheeples. It is worthless. How is this happening? I suggest you look into it...should make you want to revolt like EGYPT. Wake up.
If I had a million dollars, I'd have these guys play this song to wake me up each morning. I'm guessing life wouldn't suck so much... if I had a million dollars...
@wardust02 he is. the guy taping was on the wrong side of the stage and so unfortunately Al was blocked by the side of the stage. But you can kind of make out his face at 5:35
@yankheads He didn't parody this song but he played the accordion in this performance of it. The song Al parodied was "One Week", which became "Jerry Springer".
I've heard it boasted that if you can play an accordion, you can learn practically anything with keys. So that means that Al could probably play piano if he really wanted to. He could have played that piano and been a serious musician. (His original music is incredible, if it weren't comedy it would make great pop.) But what career path did Al choose? The single coolest one he possibly could, that's what he chose.
I'm not too sure about that. The stage was a lot smaller than anything Al was used to when he toured, so he probably felt that it would be best to stay in the back and out of the way. He seemed very into the performance, and did a very good job for them on the accordion. There's another recording of this, and you can see Al pretty well. You could tell he was enjoying it.
I wasn't typing about Al, I was typing about Steven Page. Just trying to discern exactly when the break between Steven and the rest of the band occured. Everything I've read and seen makes me think Steven didn't want to leave, but the rest of the guys were ready to press on at a much faster pace than Steven was.
your a genius. marijuana possession does mean he would lose weight. He got booked with coke once. DOES NOT MAKE HIM AN ADDICT. If he wasn't in one of the most oppressed nations at the time he never would have been caught. The search would never have happened in his native Canada. Guess thats because we believe in personal freedom
Marijauna wouldn't. Which is why I said /explicitly/ I bet it was the coke, and I never said he was an addict either. It's hard to put words in someones mouth when the original words are right there above yours.
And where it happened is irrelevant, he was still breaking a law, no matter which country it was. Hence "UNLAWFUL possession".
Cocaine is illegal in Canada, too. Example: in '07 a 13 yrold !!! Alberta girl was charged with cocaine posession after her house was searched. The United States is far from the most oppressive country in the world in its punitive stance on drug possession. The penalty in some places-- like Singapore-- is the death penalty. I'm not defending the U.S's ridiculous war on drugs, but your information is incorrect.
Thanks for posting this. I love this song, and seeing them live on video is better than not seeing them live at all. (though it'd would be cool to really see them live sometime).
They put on the craziest live show ever! I saw them...wow...10 years ago!!!! When did I get so old? Is that a wrinkle? Where did all the time go? Oh, yeah, so BNL is awesome. Make it a priority! Although I wonder how much they will be touring without Steven P. Hmmm....
Steve looks weird being so thin! And that is the ugliest plaid shirt ever, but he pulls it off. Go figure. Thank you so much for uploading this! It's awesome.
I saw BNL live in Denver. What a great show! I'm so sorry we can't see Al in your vid. He's a sweetie. As always, the guys put on a great show. Congrats on your cool experience!

So, you brought along the box of Kraft dinner just so that you could shot it to the camera when they sang that line...and then you forgot about it until they got to the line? No offense, but that was really lame! But thanks for posting the video.
Bzzzt. I brought along the Kraft for the band to autograph it after the show [though I ran into Ed early, hence his lone signature in the shot]. I actually had no idea they would play this song at the show, considering it's billed a promotional set for their new album. When they got to the Kraft line, I remembered I had the box on me and thought it would be amusing to dig it out and show it. So nyeh.
Great video! BNL rules and that was so nice of them to let Al play with them! Too bad you didn't get such a good view of him, but that must have been awesome to hear him play the accordion! Thanks so much for posting.

ahh great performance. One of the few groups that can sound great on cd and live in concert.
Funniest thing though is that in WWE Smackdown vs Raw 2009 this is my Brother's create-a-wrestler theme.

Oh yeah. It's a real shame too. If he ends up with some solo work, I'll check, it out, but I really wish he didn't quit BNL.
But if he felt they were going to fast for him, that is his decision, and he could most definitely find other work.

I imagine it is incredibly hard to continue producing pop music after 20 years, especially if you have other musical interests.
