Matrix 2 and 3 would have been a lot better if they had blood and weapons (e.g katanas and swords) instead of just fist fighting. It was the fact that the story wasn't excellent and we'd already seen all the cool fighting stuff.

Structurally I'd say it's bookended like RETURN OF THE JEDI (starting with a rescue mission, ending with the final duel and the Chosen One sacrificing themselves to stop the bad guy), but the middle section to be akin to RETURN OF THE KING (The bad guys laying siege on the last great resistance of the good guys while the lead hero journeys with his companion and an unknown enemy towards the enemy stronghold to end the conflict)

I really believed the ending could have been extended. The movie had so many scenes that would've made it better, such as, the fight against the sentinels and the APUs. Also the fight of Neo and Agent Smith, I think there would've been more action. But still, it was a great movie.

The world he lives in isn't essentially the "real world". In the first movie Morpheous hands Neo two pills of his choice, consequently, his mind goes into THE real world. It's similar to dreaming, when you dream your mind is in a different location, but your body is still in place. With that corroboration, it can be seen that his body in the beginning was in the "dream world", the only difference is where the mind was in the first place. It's science-fiction.

It had surprises at every corner and was much more elegant and logical. Flashy effects, even if the best available, don't make a great movie. Even Keanu Reeves could save the sequel, I don't know if he even wanted to.

@EDDIEinWAR Another thing about these movies is that they were completely bashed and ripped apart by critics and some other fans of the original which i believe was uncalled for, the monumental expectations for these sequels to equal or surpass the original was practically impossible, so the Wachowski brothers tried to expand the universe and make it a trilogy that felt like it had a beginning and an end. Each sequel was structured in a very specific way. Beginning, middle and end.

Kidding, no, millions of people worldwide LOVE these movies and swear by them, I am not one of them. However I really liked Reloaded, it was a little heavy on the philosophical dialogue and can be hard to take it all in, but after repeat viewings i pick up on more little things, Reloaded, overall I liked it quite a bit. I was hugely disappointed in Revolutions the first few times I saw it but it has grown a little on me, not all of it but some of it.
