  • i thought turbos burned more fuel hense more horsepower

  • @stekrirade You're sort of correct. In actuality, turbos push more air into the motor, which is then mixed with the proper amount of fuel by the fuel injectors, which are usually aftermarket and larger in size to allow the extra fuel needed to mix with all the extra air the turbo is forcing into the motor. The combination of the two, in the correct ratio, results in more power.

  • nice ride

  • the white smoke u see is just condensation (steam).

Then when he revs it u can see the black smoke....although its quite light black.....its still "black".

  • its not burning oil its just condensation and unburnt fuel ;-)

  • all cars with turbos useually smoke a bit only when u accelerate or rev it its where it is runing rich for a second and the turbo has to spool up

  • burnt oil is blue

  • Sick car brother.

  • oh god. i just love the idling symphony that machine makes. Awesome mod.

  • lol, now i saw it in the beginning..

  • whats the deal with Z32 AFM's??

are they just bigger, hence, less of a restriction than stock items??

  • yes they are bigger in diametre (RB26 65mm)-(Z32 80mm) but the main reason for using them is they measure alot more air, the factory RB26 afm's wont read as much air and max out.

  • swap for s13, slight panel damage, t25 on the way out?

  • LOL WOW fair swap

  • still running Z32 AFM's on this calibre?

  • check out this vid a lot of people think that u have to get rid of air flow meters to make the big numbers all it comes down to is having the right tune and jim at croydon knows gtr's

  • Haha, that's sick. Nice shoes.

  • I cant afford shoes :(

spend all the money on fuel! :P

  • hahahahahaha :D how much this car use fuel on 100 kilometers ??

  • this thing needs tuning....it wanted to die after 'run down' when u revved it.

  • Or the 19yo old AAC needs replacing.

  • best part about this vid is there is NO GAY MUSIC!!!!! YOU CAN HEAR THE MOTOR :-)

  • i agree

  • I like it, Ive tuned many RBs and it sounds like its just been started. Condensation, yes. She has a sweet sound, must have had some dollars spent. I tend to lean towards 11.0:1 at full power on most of the higher 30+ psi cars I tune. You loose a little power but the engine will last...

  • bah!...11.0:1!?.....at 30+ boost pressures u need water injection!....saves fuel!......and Cats!

  • Rb 26 is efi not carby :P

  • it's just a high HP RB motor running rich to keep it intack. You see allot of guys at the strip with nitrous cars tuning the carb's to run the car richer then regular day use to help keep it cooler and detonation down. I'm planning on running my skyline what you might call abnormally rich but thats so i can really turn up the boost till the engine gets fully built in which case i'll run it just as rich but 600+hp all day every day from a rb24.

  • Running rich to keep it intact?

carbs? Keep it on track man. A PFC should run 800 Sards easy, theres no excuse to run it that rich. Excess fuel cokes piston crowns, makin em light up under load and caus det.

The car simple looks like it was still on cold start, and its just condensation... water.

  • 2 things, R34 series doesnt have a GTS-T its a 25GT-T and second the head gasket on that GT-R in the vid is either blown or not installed properly. When a GT-R runs rich in fuel it puffs black smoke not thick white. I have an R32 GT-R btw so im not talking outta my ass.

  • yeah white smoke is water, hasn't got a blown head gasket.

Probably was abit of water condensation vapour that was in the exhaust heating up, as I didnt run it for very long that day, basically just ran it to turn the motor over.

  • might be water but usually doesnt continue to keep smoking white...dunno at least mine doesnt. if i dont use for like 2 weeks it will shoot out 1 clean cloud of white then wont do it again. probably really bassed on the situation and different cars thats all. your smoke didnt seem as thick as it did the first time i saw it so yeah healthy engine from what i can see

  • LOL blown headgasket ahahah cant you just enjoy viewing the car rather then try to find problems

  • Noice!!! Wanna race :P

  • There are some knob shiners on the net

    PS. you can't spell 'intake'

PPS. That engine belongs in my R33 Cam :P

  • r34 sorry

  • pwn33d u dont know shit all gtrs come with rb26dett stock. the gts-ts have a rb20 and the gts25t and the gt-t have rb25. not all r3 have rb26 dickhead

  • the car is still being built, with a few more things to finish off and do the tune for the new fuel system, so I will have to get some driving videos soon!

  • KPGC10 GTR = S20 ( 2L twin cam 24v straight 6cyl 24v)

    R32 GTR = RB26DETT ( 2.6L twin cam 24v straight 6cyl twin turbo)

    R33 GTR = RB26DETT ( 2.6L twin cam 24v straight 6cyl twin turbo)

    R34 GTR = RB26DETT ( 2.6L twin cam 24v straight 6cyl twin turbo)

    R35 GTR = VQ37HR (3.8L Twin Turbo (not 3.7L))

The R32,R33,R34 GTR's all come with the RB26DETT stock, the base model GTS-T come with the different engines.

    R32 GTS-T = RB20DET

    R33 GTS-T = RB25DET

    R34 GTS-T = RB25DET

  • and to add to that, if any difference at all in the RB26DETTs through the generations, is the compression ratios were different.

  • wikipedia:

    The RB26DETT was used in the following cars: * Nissan Skyline GT-R R32 * Nissan Skyline GT-R R33 * Nissan Skyline GT-R R34

     * Nissan Stagea 260RS * Tommy Kaira ZZ II

    read up bitches!

  • hahahahahah what a retard im 13 and i even know that all gtrs dont come with a rb26dett hahahahahahhahahahaha

  • if you dont belive it look it up. Only the GTS-t and GTS-4 had the rb20det. The GTS had the rb20de and also rb25de was available

  • R32 GTR has a rb26dett stock.

    Type RB26DETT - Inline-6; Twin-Turbo Charged

    Valvetrain dohc 4-valve/cyl

    Displacement [cc] 2568

    Bore & Stroke [mm] 86.0 x 73.7

    Compression Ratio 8.5:1

    Redline [rpm] 8000

Max. Power [Bhp at rpm] 280 at 6800 (official)

Max. Torque [lb-ft (Nm) at rpm] 266 (360) at 4400

    Bhp/Liter 109

  • man thats very nice.listen to that cams doin there thing.sounds like a hole lotta whip azz..........

  • looks good but yeah.. show us some skids!

  • show some driving

  • yeah, sorry bout that, my bad,i didnt look hard enough.

  • im not really feelin that engine swap, you should have instead put the rb26 in it

  • umm it is a rb26? probably looks wierd as the front timing cover is removed...

  • rb26 is stock in gtr's

  • btw nice car lol

  • lol rb26 does not come stock in gtr rofl

    r32 = rb20

    r33 = rb25

    r34 = rb26

Even if the r32 isnt gtr it will have a rb20

or r34 is non gtr it will have a rb26

  • What are you on about?? All GTRs have RB26DETT. Go do some reading before talking crap.

  • Dude, go and learn more about the car since you just owned yourself by your uneducated post.

  • You're an idiot. You're name is pwn33d yet you just made a complete fool of yourself. Now fuck off little kid and go learn something before you come back.

  • Yes. But show us some driving :)
