Nice work man. I appreciate your level of talent and information. The double with the 2 pood kb was legit. Way to shoot your head through the window on the presses. After doing CrossFit for the last 4 years I am getting burnt on the super big scene, and back into the small DIY scene. You rock.
@sargon12368 thanks for the kind words! I did the commercial gyms through school and just had enough. IT was time to take the training wheels off and get after it. I'm glad to hear you are doing the same.
im 16 and 6.3" 275 pounds...ive been working out for a year and went from a max of 145 to now im hitting 315...im stuck and would like to know if u know any workouts that will get me unstuck...i have access to a full gym with a good partner...so if u have any ideas i would appreciate it if u got back to me...and props on the video it gave me a few ideas
well done sir, wonderful to see a trainer/gym owner working his ass off still. too many of em are out of shape these days. love the videos, keep em coming!
@leafsfan9917 Torso stability, full body compound lift to get it from the floor, neutral grip for the shoulders and elbows and does a great job of improving pressing power.
Sure, no problem. For most lifters the military press is a fine alternative and similar movement. However, they aren't 100% the same. Loading the log on the lap and "cleaning" uses the muscles differently. Also the neutral grip effects which muscles are activated. Is it "better" than a military press? Depends on your goals. Both are great exercises.
see I am trying to get my max bench up, I go to my highschools gym, we dont have a log press, we do have a deadlift/shrugs rack I like that a lot, its real difficult, not related but figured I would mention that, couldent be that difficult to make either if you have some basic welding skills
@jhashey how would the log press be better than the military press goal wise? and with the military press i don't have a rack so i deadlift the weight, then "clean" the barbell to start my presses. so what results would i get from doing my presses with a neutral grip? and im assuming i could do them with dumbells if i dont have a log like urs? good job on the vids BRUGH keep them coming.
hey joe how often do you workout? i usually try to get in the gym every day but obv you dont isolate muscles so how often do you lift??

I prefer working out alone. It lets me focus on lifting.
