  • Nissan uses Toyota's licensed Hybrid technology for their Altima hybrid. But also Nissan recommends using premium fuel for their cars too. Fuel prices are already high enough why would we want to use premium fuel. Nissans are not bad vehicles but for fuel types I would go with something else.

  • Don't the CVT brake easy?

  • the engine on the 2007-present Nissan Altima

    Engine

    2.5 L QR25DE I4 175 hp (130 kW) 2.5 / 2.5 S

    3.5 L VQ35DE V6 270 hp (201 kW) SR

  • The design still looks good after 6 model years. I own a '07 2.5 S that I just bought earlier this year & it's an impressive car overall. Good power & fuel economy, comfortable ride, sporty handling & a roomy interior. It's a huge upgrade from my previous car which was a '06 Toyota Corolla S. I needed a bigger car with more legroom. I'm over 6ft tall.

  • I love this car Im so glad I traded in my Mercedes-Benz c class for this car seems crazy I know but if you want better quality when I had my c300 with leather felt like something you'll find in a non-luxury car but when I got my Altima with leather seating so much better I love driving it its 10x better and the quality of this car LOVE IT this car was totally worth it <3

  • For this price on base,I will choose Honda accord

  • The Altima needs to look like the Maxima and the Maxima needs a redesign because the Chrysler 300 looks way better. If i had $35-40k, i would not spend it on a plain non luxury looking Maxima.

  • i like the rear not the front. i drove one and wasnt realy sold. i didnt like the interior. my first impression was that it is cheap cvt transmissions are fine. you dont realy ever notice

  • FLOOR IT

  • the 2007-2012 Nissan Altima is assembled in

    Smyrna, Tennessee, United States

    Canton, Mississippi, United States

  • In today's economy, it might behoove you to get a car you like, be happy with it, and pay it off quickly and keep it for a long time!.... little complaints like "cool looks" are subjective and not always the best the reason to buy,(or not to buy) a new car. With millions out of work these days, and the economy getting worse, you're doing good if you can even afford a new car.

  • @easy530 the outside looks boring but the inside looks sick as hell.

  • What do they mean by audio system? like a radio?

  • THE MAXIMA LOOKS TEN TIMES BETTER.

  • DID HE JUST SAY ALCIMA 3:21 LOOOL

  • The front looks like a dead frog

  • The sonata has great mpg but that's about it...the front

  • @xelxtravieso619x no the 2011 sonata has more then that dude the styling is way better handling is great altima is a boring old design they are just like toyota keeping the same design year after year after year

  • @xelxtravieso619x The sonata quality sucks. Korea = China. Nissan - COOL!!!

  • You kids have me laughing when you say the sonata is much nicer.

  • I replaced my '89 Altima with a'10 Altima Hybrid. For the type of driving I do, I can go 6-8 weeks without visiting the gas station. Elegant interior, comfortable ride. I'm a large person - MUCH better fit than Camry or Accord, much more comfortable to drive than the Prius.

  • I think the nissan altima doesn't need a redesign... Thumbs up if you agree! :)

  • @hehh543 I'm sorry, but I DO NOT AGREE! They should really get LED Tail Lights for one thing, and they need to DELETE the CVT Transmission! As CVT's are just extremely annoying! & for a topped out trim, you should be able to get power adjustable passenger seats! However, the Alitima is a very nice car, but it is just DYEING for some of those features!!!!!!

  • @joewillgo I kinda agree with you on the LED Tailights, that would look sharp! I still like the CVT though. And I agree about the power adjustable passenger seat. But then again, it's not an Accord, with an Accord, to get bluetooth, you have to get a Navi. On the altima, you dont!

  • @hehh543 True, but Altima should have it as an OPTION at least. It's impossible to get a powered passenger seat :(

  • @joewillgo true. Unless you're hauling around passengers all the time, then theres not really a need for the power seat :p

  • not bad though. i like the design and the interior is very efficient. There is plenty of features and technology inside the Altima! I wish the Altima had better gas mileage, but the fuel economy on this car seems good to me. The Altima also has options for the Altima Hybrid and the Altima Sports Coupe, not bad! I say the perfect car for cruising the city!

  • @altima1fuga2 um no... this thing has nothing in a Hyundai sonata now!

  • Isn't this the 4th generation? 1) 93-97, 2) 98-01, 3) 02-06, 4) 07-present. Where does the 5th generation come in? Just curious.

  • Nice video, like alweighs however Im pretty sure this is the 4th Gen Altima, but again, not trying to be mean, just saying...

  • Let's agree to not bash on cars that we have never owned and driven.

  • I'd seriously consider a 2011 Kia Optima or Hyundai Sonata before buying an Altima...

  • i was so close to buy an Altima but the only thing that keeps me from buying one is that is not made with a proper manual transmition so i bought a Ford Fusion lolz

  • The Hyundai Sonata and Honda Accord are the class leaders. Screw this thing.

  • @EliteSlayer542 not sure about the honda accord. but definitely the hyundai sonata!

  • I actually like the Altima. It combines several aspects: sporty, fuel-efficient, very comfortable, and pleasing to drive. This also might be one of the only Nissans I'd consider.

  • 5th gen? its the fourth generation with a new facefit for 2010+

  • this car is in it's FOURTH generation.

  • Nissan Xterra review please

  • Nothing special.. Go Ford!

  • @InsurgenceRX

LMAO. Fix Or Repair Daily? No thank you. Japanese > American

  • @IamLoGiiC was it just me who imagined the 10million+ vehicles recalled by Toyota last year? BTW Ford is topping the charts in quality! get out of the country if you think Japanese cars are the best

  • @InsurgenceRX

And your surprised? Every car manufacturer has recalls almost every year. Toyota's big year of recalls doesnt make up for an entire decade of shitty cars, not even close. Theres obviously a reason why that acronym is associated with Ford. American cars have FINALLY upped their standards but I doubt ANY American car will outlast, have less repairs, and wlll be more reliable than ANY Japanese or German car.

  • @IamLoGiiC Actually Ford is up there with Toyota on the top quality. The German car companies are much further behind Ford, GM, and the Japanese in quality. Take a look at the facts and not your opinion.

What does this world come to when people believe that they are "American" while being strongly against American companies and supports their competition.

  • @InsurgenceRX

Initial quality sure, long term reliability is totally different. Ford earned its many acronyms with its shitty cars and I dont think American cars will ever be up to par with imports because American cars arent as reliable as Japanese or German cars. And I never said I was a Patriotic American either. I dont claim to be at all, so I shouldnt be hearing this "I need to support American cars or get out of this country" bullshit.

  • @IamLoGiiC long term reliability goes to Ford. My dad has owned three Ford Taurus's in the past. The first lasted over 350,000 miles before getting rid of it.

  • @InsurgenceRX

So your dads cars lasted so that means all Ford cars are reliable in the long term? Please, take a logic class. Even Korean cars are becoming better than American cars and thats saying something. Ford will always be a piece of shit brand. FORD = FIX OR REPAIR DAILY and FOUND ON ROAD DEAD .

    TOYOTA=?

    ACCORD=?

    NISSAN=?

    Suck a dick bitch

  • @IamLoGiiC Ha, you make me laugh when you say "reliable german cars" VWs and Audis are just laughable, you'll get 500= dollar problems within months and Mercedes and especially BMW aren't far behind. Keep in mind though that the American cars of today are WAY better and more reliable than the ones from 3 years ago. They aren't as bad as you say.

  • @InsurgenceRX

And when did I ever say I was un-american? was it just me who imagined the freedom of speech that we have here in America? I dont like American cars so I should get out of this country? Im sorry but this country was founded on the principle of freedom of speech you ignorant fuck. I think you need to shut the fuck up before you make yourself look even more like a retard if thats possible.Think before you type asshole.

  • @InsurgenceRX at least toyota did claim it. honestly quality of japanese cars aren't comparable to americans. resale value tells you that. okay, if you don't believe me its cool, just look how toyota stole the crown of largest selling cars from GM (in it's own home) and crushed to bankruptcy. if it wasn't for competitiveness of the market created by the japanese cars american cars would have been as archaic as they were 50 years ago.

  • @Shuffle3956 "At least Toyota did claim it"?? Toyota knew about their problems for many years until they were FORCED to make the recalls. They waited until the last minute which ended up harming them even more. Also every single analyst out there is saying that GM is set to take back the crown from Toyota this year. GM's market share is rising and Toyotas is falling. For 2010, Toyota only sold only one day worth of cars more than GM.

  • @Shuffle3956 well i have to agree with you with the fact that if it wasn't for the japanese competition american cars would still be on carburetors, having said that... i have to give props were is due and that is to the big three for finally realizing that bad cars will only create bad reputation funny thing that it took them some 30 years to understand that.

  • @Shuffle3956 but i have to give the crown to korean car makers (hyundai/kia) for stepping it up even further in terms of quality, styling, warranty, features and pricing. I don't know how the manage to make profits out of their products but they sure as hell have crafted the perfect recipe for success.

  • @carlmanu i hear you bro korean cars have improved so much at least in terms of styling as far as i know. i haven't personally witnessed improvement in terms of durability of mechanical parts and reliability but i keep hearing good news. if it was up to me though I'd to go with the long proven honda/toyota reliability. i'm not an anti Hyundai/kia anymore but i don't like to risk my hard earned money. but here is the thing: the 2009+ korean models gotta live some years to prove their reliability

  • @InsurgenceRX LOLLL Ford quality sucks. They're way behind with Japanese cars

  • oooo manual mode on cvt...

  • @jonwilliams16 Yea I have an 07 Altima and even though I love the car, the manual mode is no fun

  • They said something wrong though. The key less entry system isnt optional, it's standard

  • Very nice car!!! I own a 2007 2.5 S and it's been the best car ive ever owned

  • Maybe I missed it. Does this come with optional 5 or 6 speed manual?

  • @Buckles0528 A six speed manual comes only in the Altima coupe, as far as I know.

  • @Buckles0528 yeah there is a 6 speed manual available with the coupe & sedan.

  • This is the 5th generation?

I'm not so sure about that.

  • my picks for a family sedan would be:

    Accord / Altima V6

    Optima

    Sonata

    Camry

    Fusion

    Malibu

  • @jvrdlc so youre another american car hatr huh?

  • @jvrdlc

If you've ever really driven a ford fusion or chevy malibu, you would move it to the top of your so called list.

  • @jvrdlc hmmm what about mazda 6?

  • How is it that their most popular model is one of the only ones WITHOUT a redesign?

  • @jacoale I guess they figure if it ain't broke don't fix it. The last time this car was redesigned was 2007 which isn't that long ago.

  • the accord is good blend of sport and comfort, the altima is more sport than comfort, and the camry is more comfort than sport

  • It's okay but boring.

  • i perfer the 2011 kia optima

  • i perfer the 2011 kia optima

  • camry ftw! hahahahaha.

  • Maxima all the way

  • Why is this video thumbnail a Toyota Camry?

  • I think the 3.5 V6 is the best looking Altima right now

  • he sounds like he has a cold. and i think the alloys on the sedan are the same size and design as the hubcaps.

  • needs a redesign badly!

  • @eskimochild87 True

  • @eskimochild87 What?

  • What's up with these bland design's???

  • Neeeeeeds a redesig... badly

  • The thumbnail is a Toyota Camry for the video

  • Comment removed

  • that's no comparisson to the mazda 6.. simply the best, hope you review one soon!

  • nices car
