I am a current NYU student at Tisch and I find this protest to be in very poor taste. Two facts that people may not know: One, most of the protesters were not actually NYU students. Two, NYU offered them a chance to resolve the issue peacefully if they left by 1:00am, but they didn't, instead breaking the locks off the doors and injuring the security officers. It was not reasonable or peaceful, and merely made NYU students look like rich, privileged kids needing to complain about something.
As an NYU student, though I was not involved in this protest, I have to voice my support.
While I think they should've been more focused with their demands, TBNYU! has been working for years to try to get a reasonable dialogue with the school's administration, and they were always COMPLETELY ignored. So they took action.
People complain that protesters do nothing but whine and never really accomplish anything. Well, these students decided to do *something.*
Talk about bitching.... No one here who is against these folks has one suggestion on a different tatic. Bahhh Bahhh go the sheeple... Don't mess up the status quo.... Stick with the flock....
