One thing you have to say for Radiohead (aside from that they're amazing) is that they make no effort to keep their music from being available for free on the Internet - love these guys!
If you want to compare this song to anything Coldplay has ever done go and listen to Easy To Please. Its very, very similar. Chris Martin loves Radiohead so can't see what all the bitchin between both fans is about ? Both bands are great, and as for Muse, they are just a shitty version of Radiohead. I used to love Origin Of Symmetry but after listening to OK Computer I can hear that Muse just ripped it off, and did it no justice whatsoever :)
@slowblood99 how could you even compare this to FUCKIN Mylo Xyloto this is one of best albums ever dare i say probably the best ever and that new coldplay album is pure shit.
@1SEPERATOR jesus fuck, its my opinion..no need to go postal on somebody over an opinion. sorry, it was a bit uneducated, I finally listened to mylo xyloto and it blows cock. happy youtube dwarf? be happy, because you won the fucking game of the internet toughguy. God, I can't even express my opinion anymore.
@slowblood99 You can express your opinion, just not on a Radiohead video. Some Radiohead fans can't stand it when someone compares Radiohead with any band like Coldplay or Muse.
@slowblood99 im 14 years of age, and im sorry for making you feel small but im a massive radiohead fan and when people like you compare coldplay and muse to them it just annoys me a little because radiohead invented this sound and i think its sad that some bands cant find their own so they copy bands like radiohead.
dont get me wrong Coldplay's Blue Room Ep is awesome but also very similar to pablo honey and the bends.
@1SEPERATOR The Blue Room is definatley influenced by some Radiohead ! But this old day thing of "Coldplay copied Radiohead, Ohhhhh they are bad, Coldplay is for fags" Its been said to absolute death. Yes Coldplay was influenced by Radiohead but if you do some research you'll see that Coldplay's main influence and quoting Chris Martin "Travis was the reason Coldplay started" But yes, Muse are shit. @marketanarchist2011 I used to think that until I listened to OK Computer, then realised Muse were the biggest rip off's of the century. OOS is a decent album with some nice guitar work but its hardly even a patch on OKC !
OoS has alot of original things on it. It may be inspired by radiohead, but also by rachmaninoff, ratm, bach, nine inch nails and bell canto vocal techniques.
Along with the outro to "Let Down", the transition from chorus to 2nd verse of this song symbolises everything I love about Radiohead. And music. And life.
MASTERPIECE MASTERPIECE MASTERPIECE !! THATS WHAT RADIOHEAD IS A MASTERPIECE.. THE SIX DISLIKES CAN GO LISTEN TO LIL WAYNE AND ALL THAT STUPID SHIT MUSIC
I encountered this song through "Romeo and Juliet", where it ledt me speechless and breathless. I did some reseach and found out that Thom Yorke wrote this masterpiece for Romeo and Juliet, because their story touched him enormously. I can't believe how brilliant he is, to be able to put a whole story in ine song.
Even if Radiohead is not my favourite band, it's clear that once you have listened to all of their songs you perception of music will be toally diffenrent. Radiohead is matchless.
@ChionaBrightside "Romeo and Juliet" with Leo DiCaprio et al, was a very well done remake of a classic (that, according to new theories, was done by someone that was NOT William Shakespeare). It also gave me a reason to watch the movie, as I still think Leo was taking it in the behind while eating Gilbert's grapes (though The Departed made a man of him..)
No se para que 6 pendejos se meten a escuchar musica que no conocen... favor de no criticar lo que no conocen pendejos (6)????? Excelente cancion... parte madres!!!
Exit Music followed by Let Down has to be the most powerful combination in Album track history. I use to find myself in tears as the first chords of Karma Police started playing.
@talk45 Says the one who is unwilling to accept those with different musical opinions.
Look, I know hating on Justin Bieber is what's hip with today's kids, but if you were really as intelligent as I'm sure you'd like to appear you'd probably just stop giving a shit about Justin Bieber or what JustGotHacked has to say about Radiohead and just listen to the music you like. It's not that hard, and right now you look like you're trying to hard.
@dudewtfpasswind im not dreading it. your right, its coming for everyone. but im not gonna glorify it. it is the END of experience. ill evade it as well as i can. if there was any medical procedure to live for centuries, i'd hit it. sure i'd watch people come and go, but thats allready part of life :]
@dudewtfpasswind arent you clever. why would i NOT be afraid of death? death is the end. i dont want that. damn right im afraid of death. you can pretend all you like, if someone swung a blade at you, you'd move away just as well as i would.
@dudewtfpasswind that makes no sense. death is loss of life. its a one-time event. its like saying "my dinner no longer being on my plate - is eternal". thats my point!
it is the _ultimate_ "grass is greener" scam, because nobody can report back how awesome it is to be dead, so people just assume its totally rad.
also, it never ever fails, whenever i try to advertise for life, smartasses come along "death is awesome.", and my obvious question to them is, then why the hell arent you dead yet?
@LTG22 "This was written for the 1996 movie Romeo and Juliet starring Leonardo Di Caprio.
