  • Let's get it started

  • Hahahaha :D

  • OMg Pepsi Sucks!

  • Hamma!

  • It doesn't matter which brand of cola you prefer....either way, long-term consumption will result in diabetes

  • Awesome

  • bill hicks was right !

  • Comment removed

  • just....on the hammer and you will be be warned

  • Is the rap song a real song?

  • @Admercial yes, it's called "Let's get it Started"

  • Proper!

  • Problem!

  • the stupid thing is coke is better than pepsi, but pepsi is nice it dont compare to coke its just a stupid advert, i could understand if it was the other wya round.

  • PWN :D

  • Man he really whored his soul : )

  • Dude. Is that Adrian Brody in the crowd???

  • @billbeachwood Yeah I think he's still on his quest.

  • @billbeachwood LOL i swear thats him....he got his start in a hammer commerical. :O

  • Comment removed

  • I can imagine MC Hammer drinking beer. Instead of singing,he'd be belching!

  • @mh513 lol

  • @mh513 I was at work, and I coudn't help laughing at your comment. LOL

  • Proper!!...lmao

  • @musicguy550

I find it highly unlikely that Coke would want "free airtime" in a Pepsi commercial which blatantly trashes Coke's product. This commercial has litigation written all over it.

  • what if he drank royal cola?

  • what i dont understand is he drinks the coke, and gets all soulful and starts singing that he is having feelings - of love. It makes it look like he really loved the coke he just drank. But its an ad for pepsi. I wonder why they chose that song, it kind of works against them if they are trying to promote pepsi.

  • Am I the only one who thinks that Feelings are better then the shit he be "rappin"

  • @unterschleif Yep you the only one.

  • lol @ Adrian Brody 0:35!

  • lol

  • Lol Someone sabotaged his drink.

  • I actually liked the first song better lol

  • i dont think it was pepsi, maybe some crack

  • cool vid!

  • How the hell did Pepsi get Coke to authorise the use of their brand name in an anti-Coke commercial???

  • @garethac81 Fair comment, product to product comparison, and criticism is allowed without permission.

  • @garethac81

    I wanna know also

  • @garethac81: serious! surley thats libel or something?!

  • @garethac81 hey, its a matter of less restrictions at the time. now, everybody has got to pay everyone for the rights to do anything. no wonder people get broke quickly these days.

  • @garethac81 that was genius .....wow lol

  • @garethac81 Back in those days it was fair game. They will never make 'em like this again.

  • Classic coke>Pepsi

    Anytime

  • lolcatz

  • Hammer has a pretty good singing voice lol

  • hahahahahaha...the first thing that came to my head when I clicked on this was...

    "Proper!"

  • ADRIAN BRODY is in the crowd lmfao

  • Coca Cola, Pepsi, and others coke..Fuck All!!!!

  • What this ad is saying:

    - Coca-cola is for old folks

    - Pepsi is the taste of a new generation

    .

That was marketing plan since the 1960s

    .

  • I dont mind some of the baby and animal videos on here... tributes and whatnot... but TO ME... the best thing about youtube... you can have a weird "remember that MC Hammer pepsi commercial" thought... and then go see it. Youtube at its best. Bringing the past back to life

  • who the hell was that chick

  • MC hammer is so gangsta

  • what a fucking whore.

  • Proper!

  • didnt coca cola sue pepsi for this ad?

  • @SuperAlleyesonme i dunno about that, but I THINK the direct comparison is equal to slander in todays legal language. Dont quote me on that.

  • I haven't seen this commercial in years.

  • Pepsi is the shit!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Pepsi all the way.And DAMN do I feel old from watching this commercial!

  • "Yo, Hammuh..."

I've always liked and supported Hammer - even through the 'Funky Headhunter' period - but this commercial is so bad. Kinda cringe worthy in fact.

  • hahah i remember this commercial

  • Coca Cola is better than water!!! I would have payed a million dollars to replace it(water);)

  • wow.. like i saw that ad before but forgot if they used that to compete with Coca Cola...

  • This video was filmed sometime in the fall of 1990, in Thompson-Boling Arena on the campus of UT in Knoxville, TN. I know because I was in that crowd somewhere, LOL.

  • Proper! LMAO! xD xD xD

  • 『タカタイム!』わかるかな~?

  • This ad is also rebroadcasted in Japan, but happened problem. In case of Japan, the part of Coca-Cola changed mosaic visual. But this ad evaluate very good.

    BUT!

    I LIKE Coca-Cola THAN PEPSI!!

  • @Krazy3912 Hell no Pepsi is the shit!!!!!!!!

  • When this ad aired here in Australia, the line "proper" was overdubbed with MC Hammer unconvincingly saying the word "Pepsi". Just some useless trivia for you all.

  • Proper.....xD

  • dont front ma. you know you was saying proper bacc in the 90s lol.

  • Ha ha ha , I remember that comercial long ago, so funny! thanks!

  • that right there.... ended hammers career!

  • not really

  • wow such an old commercial, way back in the day, anyone see a Young Adrien Brody in the crowd in the commercial?

  • 0:35 :)

  • YO THIS IS DOPE

  • whats name of this song please?

  • PROPER LOL haven't heard that in years

  • 0:35 I bet any money that that's adrien brody in the crowd!

  • I think you're right!

  • MC Hammer loves coke

That's how he lost all his money

  • Man 10 years and it STILL cracks me up!

  • if mj has invented the moonwalking....mc hammer has also his own style where he made the running man style famous all over the world....miss you bro!!

  • mj didnt invent moonwalk.. he just made it popular

  • Actually it was MJ's sister Janet who really made the running man popular. Check the music video for her song Rhythm nation which was a couple of years before hammer.

  • actually rhythm nation came out around the same time as hammer's can't touch this. I think Hammer is also responsible for the dances popularity.

  • Rhythm nation (89) and its music video were over a year before Can't touch this (90). Hammer certainly made it more popular but Janet Jackson was making it popular earlier. At the time of her music video it was popularly known as the roger rabbit after the movie character. it was around the time of MC Hammer that it came to be known as the running man.

  • Could someone please let me know where this total performance nowadays?

I have a copy of his songs in tape format...

  • 0.36 is so lol that dud is like OoO

  • YO! HAMMAH! HAHAHAHAHA

  • Before the internet was invented, and as a kid I always wanted to know what song this was... bought the wrong tape, and never heard it again until now...

And I had a pepsi at the same time as hammer. and yes it is Proper!

    Thats a good word :)

  • to virtualboy1995

LOL! The history of the internet started on the 60's. Investigate more and you'll realize that.

  • Proper!

  • How many dancers were on stage with him

  • He had over 100 dancers on tour with him. It was the most extravagant set up at the time, and probably still is.

  • he apparently hasn't kept up on the pepsi habit

  • This is one of the funniest commercials ever, because it's ridiculous and because it mocks Morris Albert's horrible song "Feelings."

  • Bingo! That was a horrible song. Morris Albert is a Brazilian singer and I was living in Brazil when it was a hit. They were playing it on the hour every hour! UGHHH!

  • that was silly and funny

  • ukania (2 weeks ago) Show Hide +1 Marked as spam Reply | Spam Normally he would taste the difference, however the Coca-Cola Eraticated his ability to process normal thought, and elimintaed 0.08% of his teeth Enamel

    hahahahahaha

  • Pepsi = ghetto juice

  • what have pepsi against cola lol

  • The Taco Bell commercial he did was even more absurd. I believe it featured him jumping off a building and using his parachute pants as an actual parachute. ...No, I'm not kidding.

  • That kid handed Hammer some Ghetto Juice (Pepsi).

  • Wow!

  • holy god owned, they dont make fun of other companies anymore in commercials its dumb how they just say "coca cola sucks" without a reason kinda like what ALG0FL4SH said...DONT ASK QUESTIONS JUST DRINK PEPSI is what the commercial says

  • what song is he performing

  • Broke (Remix)

  • feelings....lol

  • Those Pepsi bastards. They WANTED him to fail! Why else would they "secretly" replace his Pepsi with Coke? It was a conspiracy by them from the start!

  • coke and weed

  • is this like racist or something like only white people drink coke lol

  • no..

  • your an idiot legionare

  • Lol... I would have drank Pepsi more often if I knew MC Hammer drank it XD

  • did he REALLY...?

  • So, just one question: if Pepsi is so much better than Coke, why couldn't he taste the difference?

  • because it's a cheap commercial!

    don't ask questions, drink pepsi!!!

  • Normally he would taste the difference, however the Coca-Cola Eraticated his ability to process normal thought, and elimintaed 0.08% of his teeth Enamel

  • Hahaa, what a jump!

  • what is the name of the song that he's performing before he drinks coke.

  • Pump It Up (Here's the News)

  • no its not its called lets get it started

  • hahaha

  • Man i miss the 90's fuck i wish i had a time machine seeing stuff like this brings me back to a time.

  • yeah i remember seeing this ad in 92 or 93 man i was in my early teens high on pepsi..lol

  • proper!

    Man, I miss the 90's.

  • classic

  • proper

  • proper

  • I'm 8 all over again...I used to love this commercial.

    Proper!

  • HAHAHAHA look at him go!

  • bitch,do not isalt coke!

  • Isalt??? WHAT the fuck is that??? LOL. Learn to spell dude! Chill out, it's JUST a commercial. It's funny! Have a joint on me! Hammer needs one too! Ha ha, me too!

  • 0:35 is that Adrien Brody ?!!

  • Yep!

  • omg he sure looks like him ! :o

  • hahah nice ad!

  • The silken voiceover and the over-the-top singing of "Feelings" were both performed by the late and never to be equalled John Henry Kurtz.

  • He should've offered Hammer a joint. That shit's like air to black people.

  • how about acid or shrooms, that shit is like like air air n water to white people

  • feeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeelinggggs nothing more than feeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeelings

    that was way too hillarious!

  • lol.

  • LOL. Feeeeellings nothing more than Feeeeeeellings.

  • I very, very vaguely remember this commercial. I was only 3, but I distinctly remember the guy in the crowd offering MC Hammer a Pepsi.

  • Any company that uses a competitor company name in a commercial has to get permission from the competitor. Pepsi most likely paid Coke to run this commercial.

  • c'est juste une amende... mais les companies se fouttent de sa, ils payent l'amende:P

c'est un peu comme Nintendo qui nargue Playstation!

    Les bonnes vieilles oligopoles!

  • yea what he said

  • did Coca Cola sue Pepsi after this???LOL

  • huono

  • lol

    stupid

    lol

  • I remember this commercial like I saw it yesterday.

  • Me too.

  • That sellout should have saved his money.

  • lol :)

  • LoL!! dat was actually funny Lol!! it was sum crack in dat pepsi

  • I Remember people used to call MC Hammer a sell-out for all his commercials and BS endorsements. Now the same folks who used to diss Hammer now support the overly- Commercial Jay-Z's and the 50 Cents of the World! Something is NOT right here!

  • Ltron9 - BINGO. And the hypocrisy is most displeasing.

worse, the commercial itself is as egocentric and self-centered as (Ball-peen) Hammer is too. Give me Bill Cosby and Coke any time... at least the Coz isn't talkin' about how great the Coz is, see...

  • Oh my goodness. I thought Hammer was the coolest thing when I was 10!

  • lol even back then pepsi used to mek fun of coke lol

  • I used to have this one on tape :D

  • PROPER

  • ahahahah GOOD COMMERCIAL!

  • 43-44 sec. is that adrian brody on the right there, one out of the only 4 white people in that entire stadium, and a 3 mile radius?

  • I totally think it is barrystreet.
