Very impressive. As has been said, I'm sure the fact that the guitar is filled with computer instead of wood will have detrimental effects on the tone, but like Randypadilla made clear - it's art that is also a guitar, not an alternative to your everyday guitar.
I kinda wish the lights reacted to the guitar being played, though. Like, if there was just a random visualiser that also responded like a graphical EQ display. That'd be awesome.
It's funny, it's a "A-ha"-thing, but in my opinion, it should be all about sound. That's what guitars have been made for decades. I don't care about screens, lights and all that crab. I'm interested in wood, pickups hardware and so on - not in a pimped iPad.

Sure it may add a visual interest, but I only see it useful if a guitarist has no stage presence. To each his/her own opinion, but sincerely, it is meant to be a piece of art. You are reading way too much into life, relax a little, enjoy the time and people around you, have reverence for others, live harmoniously- all that good stuff.
It is a cool piece of art that happens to be a functioning guitar.
There are Performers vs Musicians. Some people just want to put on a great, dazzling show with lights, smoke, etc. Some want to blow your hair back with arpeggios & technique.
@randypadilla209 I guess its just adding to this little philosophy I have "It's about the music, not how you look" I just feel theneed to look back and remember when you listened to music and enjoyed it for what it was. I do like the fact that someone took time to combine passions. I just must've been in a mood earlier because I do enjoy the guitar and it's innovation. I guess I'm not one for change. And also, I was wondering if you've gotten the chance to play the new Misa digital guitar yet.
@randypadilla209 I want to get my hair blown back with WELL WRITTEN MUSIC that moves me emotionally - without the lights & smoke, and without arpeggios and technique (which I assume you mean technically dazzling performances with not much actual substance)
I don't want my music universe to be so limited, that the only choices I have are flash & glitz - or a contest of who can play faster and more notes. Both are just FLUFF...Why aren't people writing Rock songs that MEAN anything anymore??
@johnwarnerrox Also I think this was designed for purposes of entertainment rather than actual music, beacuse of couse the screen and components inside the guitar will affect vibration and sustain etc. But if I were on stage with one of these, I think the crowd would be amused by it. At least those who don't realise what the difference is...
