Can anybody tell me why towers are made with power supply mounts on the bottom now ???? it catches dust 3 times faster and it doesn't have as much room to breath compared to the top mounts... please give me a specific answer. Thanks
I will use this case for my next build... I think of putting Noctua NF-S12-1200 as exhaust fan... What do u think I should use on a side? Noctua NF-S12-800? or Noctua NF-S12-1200??? and could I put just 1 on a side?
The Beta classic has almost exactly the same stuff. my build is a AMD 3800+ with a Biostar mobo, and like 3GB of ram, pretty crappy, But if i can sell that, than i will probably buy the EVO and put a core i5 with EVGA P55 le, 4-8GB of ram, depending on how much cash i got left, and a 260GTX, It will need the 3 extra fans. I plan on overclocking it. O and liquid cooling too :D
Hi, i was wondering if you could answer a question for me.
I am building a gaming rig and am getting this case, i like its high are flow and all black design.I wanted to ask if there was a way to take this apart and change the led color on the power and reset buttons.
i was going to change the color from blue to red because i would rather had red in my case. If there is no way i will not just leave it and still have red fans, i will just make it blue, i hope you can answer my question
I wanted to ask if the Noctua NH-U12P be well inside the box? Just thought I put the fan side lower. Currently I have a Coolbay NOX and I can not close the lid side.
Are you referring to "boxed SATA Storage HDD" as in a external drive, such as a WD MyBook or Seagate FreeAgent (connecting through an enclosure via USB/Firewire/eSATA)?
If so, there is no difference between the physical hard drive within the enclosure, and one that would be fitted into a regular PC. In fact, many people buy the hard drive, and the enclosure separately as it can often be cheaper and easy to get at if something goes wrong. Let me know if I misunderstood the question.
I just wanted to add this: The side panel has enough room to add a custom side window. You can also cut a an 80mm hole on the top of the case to add another exhaust fan. Having added four A1926 120mm Thermaltake fans and an ENERMAX UC-8EB 80mm fan for my case, it is still EXTREMELY quiet. The case can be easily modified to look like a high end gaming case as well as preform like one. Now once you're done reading this comment go buy this case
As you said, it is a GREAT modders project. For $60, with all these features cutting out a side window is an awesome idea if you have the tools. It would really show off the black interior.
Woo, that is one beefy cooler! I It looks like the V8 is listed at 128mm (12.8cm) tall, so that should not be a problem. And given the amount of around the CPU area, width and depth measurements shouldn't have any issues either
I'd like to see HWC do a review on the Antec 300, which seems to be in direct competition with the NZXT Beta. I'm undecided right now but I'm leaning towards the Beta.
Awesome review! Also, i've been looking for youtube videos on the Scythe Mugen 2, there's only a couple of foreign amateur vids. Can we get a review of this cpu cooler from you guys? Thanks!
We are definitely looking into adding products, aside from just cases, into the video reviews. As it stands we have a few more products on the docket but definitely stay tuned as hopefully some new hardware will crop up soon!
Yuppers - Both cards are 10.5 inches in length at REFERENCE design so they will fit snuggly. Keep in mind though that some manufacturer's may have some different cooler designs than reference, so make sure you get something that looks like the stock cards.
RC 330 was my budget case of choice previously, but the hassle of wiring it, the ability to fit larger hardware and sexy black interior definitely make the BETA my new budget case of choice.
@c0ketehwhale Looks nice hey!! :) I'm hopin even though this is an old thread that someone might have some advice/tech videos talking about positive and negative pressure. I own the Beta (Evo) which includes optional dual 120mm fans or 140mm fans and am wondering wether to go with positive or negative pressure with the case. One big issure is the lack of dust filters on the side for the dual 120mm fans for a positive airflow setup. I'm just simply worried that this case will turn into a big...
@c0ketehwhale ... dust bunny magnet with the lack of decent intake fans other than the front. Anyone have any ideas or experience with either kind of airflow or advice? Has anyone every "jimmy-rigged" there own dust filters for a positive airflow setup? Sorry for the length. Thanks for any feedback.

@BonAquak Well, I personally don't care about these things but there are many people out there that care. So don't just simply use the word "we".

Personally, i think the front is extremely ugly. It's got so many great features, i'd buy it right away if it weren't for the front...
