@dkolb65...Your a classic asshole.Your telling me to "shut the fuck up with the name calling" but in the same breath your calling some 7yr old a dimb ass. What makes you an even bigger asshole is you say I can't stand to see people exercise their political rights(totally untrue) and then tell me to shut up.Just so you understand TO NOT SHUT UP is a right. From what you said it seems to me you think these "red eye" assholes suck and thats all I care about.I really don't give a shit whtu think of me
Does she realize the term stolckholm syndrem came out of the 70's after employees held hostage in a bank robbery for3 day's felt pitty for the robber's? Janeane is a s stupid as the Rednecks she makes fun of.
Dinosaurs will come out from underground; antichrist is a white gay man with red eyes; mark of the antichrist is a green electronic tattoo with sixes that is given when one stretches their hand to receive world passport; ufos=demons=aliens=ascended masters=ghosts=channeled entities=dead relatives during seances; atlantis is underneath mariana trench; china will attack russia; don't worship the antichrist; don't take his mark; don't go into a ufo ship under any circumstances
This asshole greg buttfeel leads a panel of people that even 9 out of 10 FAUX NEWS watches couldn't name&he's got the balls to make fun of olbermann&garafalo. And I can"t figure out why that one limp-wristed guy sitting there is going out of his way to criticize a fellow legalize same sex marriage member.i've seen this dick greg buttfeel with that other FAUX NEWS asshole eric BLOWing.Tell me he wsn't the water boy for the high school football team only to bring them the soap in the shower
@sling3shot The only thing worse then watching them is reading the prejudice remarks spoken from the mouth of a 7 year old dimb ass. I realize you can't stand to see people exercise their political right's if you don't agree with them but shut the fuck up with the name calling and challeging someone elses IQ is something you should never do. Go put you're toung back up Obamas ass and shut up.
I just love Red EYE they get it right all the time and if they're off it's just as good. Garafalo is a messed up transvestite and Olbermann goes around with a pair pissed off Gerbils up his ass all day long is his problem. Both are so full of hate Hitler would hate love these guys around.
jeremywkx "Barack the Magic Negro" is a song by American political satirist Paul Shanklin who wrote and recorded it FOR the Rush Limbaugh Show and he included on his album "We Hate the USA". He may have gotten the idea from David Ehrenstein but Mr Shanklin is a white parody writer who seems to get a lot of his ideas from others. This still doesn't answer why there is so many racist comments thrown at this president, but people on the right call it "playing the race card" if someone notices.
jeremywkx "Obama the 'Magic Negro'" By David Ehrenstein was an opinion piece where he lamented that white America would see Barak Obama as a 'Magic Negro' using a term coined by sociologists as a figure "to assuage white "guilt" (i.e., the minimal discomfort they feel) over the role of slavery and racial segregation in American history, while replacing stereotypes of a dangerous, highly sexualized black man with a benign figure for whom interracial sexual congress holds no interest."...
So, calling the 1st black president's 50th birthday party a "hip hop bar-b que" is not racist? Playing "Barack the Magic Negro" is not racist? Carrying signs showing the President of the United States with a bone through his nose is not racist? Spreading a picture of the President of the United States as a pimp & the First Lady as a whore is not racist? Help me understand here...I know that every President has been mocked, but I have never seen anything like this. No racism, really?
I'm so fucking sick of everybody using "left-wing" and "right-wing" generalizations. It just makes you look like a polarizing asshole. Talk about the person in question, not their party.
she can't understand the complex issues of why people are upset. the only reason she can come up with is that they must be racist. maybe some of them are racist but she's being a hypocrite for making broad assumptions on the entire group. isn't that one thing the left is against? putting everyone in the same category? but yet thats what she is doing here. I do think its odd that the tea party forms only once a black man is in office. but not everyone in it are racists. there r more issues
Fox, you're a huge embarrassment to news. This isn't journalism, this is a barbaric shit show. Grow a cock, and de-pop your coller you brown nosing fucks.
@santigabri Hey Stupid, this is a comedy show that discusses current events at 3 am. You are so fucking dumb you think that the Ralph Maddow show on MSNBC is real journalism. Go drunk drive into a train.
Has the entire Republican Party turned into a Reality Show?
First they (in all seriousness) offer us a moron, insisting she's a capable candidate for the Presidency. Then they play a Trump Card that turns out to be an Old Maid, and now they continue the "Road to the White House" on little more than hot air and illusions.
What's up, GOP? You look a lot more like DOA!
2012 will NOT be your year. Better pack your trunks and look for another gig elsewhere. It won't be happenin' in Washington!
I love how buddy says when people have no intellectual argument to make they attack people and not ideas, and the other guy responds "yeah, she's as familiar with right wingers as she is a razor".
If they don't see their own hypocrisy, then they are every bit as "limited" as Garofolo claims.
@Pr0No08 lol, this isn't exactly the venue that requires that now does it. plus ppl who r that petty about insignificant things like are usually just that, insignificant!
@omarlives Your psychology is strange. Anyway now, you're probably saying this just because you a fan of either Olbermann or Garofalo, and were offended. You're basing this show on your opinion, and if someone disagrees with it, they must be stupid.
@Pr0No08 It a good show...if you're an underachiever with a sub-par intellect. I'm sure the world's greatest minds are not tuning in. And I'm not saying this because who they insulted. I say this, because as I said, "small minds discuss people." What's strange about that?
@omarlives But ideas don't turn the world -- people do. The idea of genocide doesn't do anything by itself. It's the attractive politician who comes to power touting the idea that needs to be watched. It's a good thing to discuss who is doing what in the world, and who is saying what. How else would you know what ideas are floating around? So, I don't think your cast so much of a pearl as a crusty old rock. Roosevelt's meaning was that gossip is small minded.
@puberis "Gossip is small minded". Hmph, I wonder if that's what I meant when I said Rossevelt's quote. lol. It is! Aren't the tabloids just gossip? Is this not basically a tabloids TV show? I really don't understand what are you trying to defend here. Are you saying this show is what great minds should be worried about? Ideas are the tools or vehicles to turn the world without it we couldn't do anything. Are you trying to say ideas are useless? If I cast rocks, you must be casting diarrhea.
@puberis Down play the power of ideas and give power to the people that discuss people? LMAO! What is wrong with you? I'm sure Plato and all the other famous ancient philosopher's would have have a problem with your small minded way of thinking. "It's a good thing to discuss who is doing what in the world" or Discuss the ideas of who is saying what? I think you're just one of those people that wants to take the polar opposite stands of a POV, because you hate when you come across someone smarter
@omarlives I didn't come up against someone smarter--just a bigger ego. You attack me instead of my arguments. I bring forth ideas, and you can't live up to your own standards. Plato spoke of the Philosopher King. That was a mould for a man (i.e. a PERSON). Furthermore, don't political ideas come from discussions on who's doing what, and what should be done? Political philosophies of the Enlightenment wouldn't have come up without criticism of monarchs (People discussing people!) Wise up, boy.
@puberis so the wise and enlightened (Cast of Red Eye) discuss people and the small minded discuss ideas? LMAOOOO WOOOOO u'd make a good politcian. spin is in! You sure are wise and enlightened!!!(sarcasm)
@omarlives You're arguing points I never made, and shy away from the ones I did. I never said discussing ideas was foolish; rather, I only said discussing people isn't. Furthermore, I never made an argument defending the show. Focus! In either case, this is a news show, where a group of people discuss things going on in the world (again: who's doing what in the world). I don't know why you're expecting ontological arguments to be lashed about. Sign up for a philosophy class if you want that.
@omarlives I didn't say that either. But no, people who read tabloids aren't idiots. Just like how people who find the word "Snapple" fascinating aren't idiots either. This isn't a gossip show. I mean, you yourself are talking about the people on this show just as much as they discuss people in the news. Does that make you a small mind? No. You're sharing your opinion about people you encounter in the world and what they're doing and thinking.
@puberis I'm sure Noam Chomsky isn't reading articles about what Charlie Sheen or Lindsay Lohan is up to. You think a mind like yours would ever had figured out where the word Snapple comes from? No. Decoding things that are not obvious is not the same as discussing and cracking jokes about celebs. I'm sorry. But you never figured out that people that read tabloids have a lower IQ than people that don't. You must be a real mongoloid. Me discussing these ppl is small minded of me.Chomsky wouldnt.
@omarlives lol, a mind like mine is too busy with real problems to figure out where the word "Snapple" came from. It's something that was created in a marketing room...not the recesses of the deepest secrets of alchemical knowledge, hahah. It's not the Theory of Relativity you stumbled upon. But, I guess if you think you're solving the worlds problems with that, I guess I'm not one to spoil your fun. Just quit harping on others yourself. Instead, figure out why it's called "Mr. PiBB", hahah!
@puberis lol yea a mind like mines is too busy to try to figure out things like that, too. but one day eating lunch n having a snapple it just came to me without the effort and brain power it would have taken a person like urself. It might have taken u months of research to figure it out, but that's probably bcuz u think ppl that read the tabloids don't have small minds! lol
@xadam2dudex All your comment proves is that you are a 20 something neophyte who doesn't know his ass from a hole in the ground. Red Eye is an after mid-night comedy show. It never claimed to be news, unlike John Stewart or Steven Colbert.
@bantyhenrants u r a total idiot right wing FOX fake news stooge.. John Stewart and Steven Colbert do not claim to be news programs u twit.. they are on comedy central..everything on FOX fake news is presented as factual news ..they only admit they are a propaganda channel when even they can't lie their way out of it
@xadam2dudex Who said Redeye was supposed to be news? Its a satirical talk show that airs at 3 in the morning. I am not sure what you consider news, but I hope its not anyone who has someone like Garofalo on spewing hateful dribble. Your terrorist comment is parroted from Keith Olbermann. If you mindlessly parrot that I wonder what else you blindly repeat? Looks like appearingly factual news is able to trick you. Too bad in this case you’re talking out your ass
Olbermann and Garofalo as well as anyone that stereotypes all teabagers as Racist, Prove themselves to be Biggots! This forces the dilemma of which is worse.... a Racist ? or a Biggot? Personally, I find them both equally appalling.
@PowLingChong Well it's a comedy show, so that's pretty much the point. May you be sentenced to live out the rest of your life in North Carolina, for your douchebaggery.
@ErikMartin81 I can tell you dont know much about N.C.. It is one of the most beautiful states, from our beautiful beaches all the way up into the breathtaking mountains. I have been all over this country, and a few places around the world for that matter, and I can tell you that you would be hard pressed to match its beauty. Your comment betrays your pathetic, smug, ignorance.
@TheChoada I loved your comment, until the last sentence. You're probably right about N.C. I made the comment because I figured you for the type of person who would resent living in what seems like one of the most socially conservative states, in the "Bible belt." I may be wrong about that impression of N.C. though; I'm not American.
@ErikMartin81 Actually NC is a liberal state, hence the democrat governor Beverly Perdue. Way to know what you are talking about. And what would be bad about living around people with a strong sense of morality no matter what their motivations or weather you share their belief systems? Good hearted religious people actually make good neighbors and citizens. I myself am a deist and bear no intollerance twoards what others have decided to believe. Its simply their business.
@TheChoada I'm sorry for not being so serious and factually correct in my response to your reasoned "fucking joke" comment. There's nothing wrong with living together with religious people, as long as they don't want the government to infringe upon our civil liberties. The type of people who troll on Red Eye videos, such as you did, are often of the intolerant raging liberal variety however. In any case, it was an unserious response to a crude comment.
@ErikMartin81 Im not the one who made the "fucking joke" comment. Once again, way to know what you are talking about. And as to moral people wanting to live in a society that reflects their own moral values, well I agree with that. I think all people want that. Thats why we elect government representatives to pass the laws that shape the country we live in. And as to "civil liberties", well those are each individually subjective matters. And im generally conservative.
@TheChoada Sorry about the mixup; I'm not used to communicating in YouTube threads. I would agree with most of what you wrote in this most recent post, though I'm opposed to politicians passing laws meant to enforce certain types of moral social behaviour. Individuals should be free to run their lives as they see fit, as long as they respect their fellow men's right to do the same. Civil liberties aren't really subjective, and most are objectively defined in the Bill of Rights.

@QuantumVaporization Labeling someone you don't know, have never met, a child molester is nearly as bad as being one.... So fuck your sick mind and go to hell. Please make sure that you stay away from humans... You're a disgrace to the human race. And before you go on that shooting spree like your friend Jared, keep in mind that people tried to save your wretched brainwashed mind from such tyranny.

@QuantumVaporization LOL, and why haven't you acted on your beliefs since and you and Jared Loughner share the same beliefs? He wasn't any more mentally imbalanced than the nutty conservatives on your talk radio and the sheep like you that soak it in and regurgitate it as pure hate. I've been around enough cons to know that what he was saying about liberals, etc is no different than what you are being told by your hero's. Congratulations for creating a more violent society.

James 2:1-7:
1My brothers, as believers in our glorious Lord Jesus Christ, don't show favoritism. 2Suppose a man comes into your meeting wearing a gold ring and fine clothes, and a poor man in shabby clothes also comes in. 3If you show special attention to the man wearing fine clothes and say, "Here's a good seat for you," but say to the poor man, "You stand there" or "Sit on the floor by my feet,"
@quicksiliva I don't see a WORD in there about taking money from someone who earns it, giving it to a GOVERNMENT, then giving that to the poor,do you?
You are responsible for that. Not taxation by a government. The IRS is not charity !

4have you not discriminated among yourselves and become judges with evil thoughts? 5Listen, my dear brothers: Has not God chosen those who are poor in the eyes of the world to be rich in faith and to inherit the kingdom he promised those who love him? 6But you have insulted the poor. Is it not the rich who are exploiting you? Are they not the ones who are dragging you into court? 7Are they not the ones who are slandering the noble name of him to whom you belong?

It doesn't matter if you're a Rand, Friedman devotee.... You can study socialism just the same and come to the conclusion that socialism is the best system. But let's inject a little common sense aside from your book smarts. How the hell do you infer that a free market void of regulation would make everyone work harmoniously without ending in the same boiling point of chaos? A lot of people believe that the reason corporations have so much power now is because of NOT ENOUGH regulation.
@quicksiliva Mises and Rothbard for me. It's called rational self interest. In a free economy people sereve their fellow man in order to benifit themselves. Quid Pro Quo golden rule and all that. History proves this, human nature proves this, primate behavior proves this. Granted not everyone will play ball but these people don't last long without help. Like the Selfish Gene by Dawkins. Many people are also unaware by the countless protectionist laws in place that allow them to have said power.

@hanzo138 "In a free economy people sereve their fellow man in order to benifit themselves." Now what could go wrong with that statement? What could man do that would trample on another man in order to benefit himself? When a rich man finds a tax loophole, or a way to save a few dollars on production costs, what does that do to other men? You see, everything is a domino effect. You can just as easily see the selfishness in capitalism that leads to job loss on equal par with job creation.
@quicksiliva "What could man do that would trample on another man in order to benefit himself" That's when the government will do it's actual job and protect rule of law. "When a rich man finds a tax loophole" failure of our overly complex tax rules. "or a way to save a few dollars on production costs, what does that do to other men" You mean just like all those companies who had to lay off workers because they couldn't afford to pay health care costs caused by the new HC bill?

@hanzo138 No, your answer to free-market corruption which exists because of humans, not because of gov intervention or abandonment, is that the Gov is evil. Where do you come up with this? Why can't you blast the free market on its own merits instead of cultishly denying any wrong doing? You always have to compare it to the gov, but that comparision is not needed, becasue humans do bad things to humans whether it's lassie Faire or not.

@hanzo138 If you can't afford to pay people a livealbe wage, not minimum, or what you would like to pay them, then you shouldn't own a business. It's irresponsible to expect people to work for peanuts and work hard for peanuts. It's irresponsible to expect those with such low wages to purchase their own high cost healthcare. If you have a large workforce, and you want to keep that workforce healthy, it's irresponsible to deny them coverage, to force them to purchase high cost plans.
@quicksiliva "If you can't afford to pay people a livealbe wage, not minimum, or what you would like to pay them, then you shouldn't own a business." HOLY FUCK! Really? So your position is we shouldn't have small businesses? Startup companies shouldn't exist because of the high costs it takes to even open up one? If they need time to grow, FUCK EM! If you can't match GM, FUCK YOU! Let the rich be the only ones who can own companies, FUCK MAINSTREET MOM AND POP STORES.... wait... dipshit.
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
@hanzo138 Look at the deeper issue at hand. Why is it so hard for nobodies to rise up to own businesses? We have to take out huge loans, get the investors... The whole system is SHIT. Put the blame where the blame belongs. If everything weren't so expensive and outrageous, more people would own businesses and less people would be struggling to make ends meet working for some rich asshole that only cares to line his pockets...And looks to gov to make it easy for him to pay people nothing
@quicksiliva "Why is it so hard for nobodies to rise up to own businesses?..." That's my fucking position jackass! While you are going on and on about how "the man is out to get us!" I've been saying that the whole time! Your average business owner isn't some deranged sadist like you make them out to be. The problem is the massive corrupt corporations and the fact that the corporate form is itself an extension of government and protectionist policies.
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
@hanzo138 No, you're position is that you don't care if business owners can get away with paying people next to nothing and not offering no insurance at the same time. You only care about business. You don't care about working people. Corporations are the reason your small business market will never work. But you have to admit, a corporation can do a lot of things better than a small business, however they are still corrupt and just as bad as Government doing the same thing.
@quicksiliva Well since you are really just left to strawman arguments why should I waste my time going any further? I might as well be talking about genetic drift to a Hovind loving creationist. Maybe if you spent less time just trying to make people upset and actually learn your own position as well as that of the opposition you could argue well without resorting to appeals to emotion and strawman fallacies.

This host is the biggest fucking asshole I have heard.... Jennine is right. The tea party didn't form during Bush's massive bailouts and spending. It formed because there is a black president. And you're fucking stupid if you don't see that.
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
@hanzo138 Oh yeah it formed when they knew that the next president would be black... And at what point did all the white supremecists jump on board? Nice try, but no cigar.
@quicksiliva No really the Tea Party was started by Ron Paul supporters during the primaries (when Hillary was top pick for the Dems mind you) who were already pissed off by Bush, who were anti war, and were fiscal conservatives that wanted sound fiscal policy and a strong dollar. Granted it has been hijacked by status quo republicans, but you knowledge of its history is wrong. White supremecists had nothing to do with the creation.
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
@hanzo138 From I have just read, it was not Ron Paul supporters. Who started it all? January 23, 2009, Tom Martin received an e-mail from John at Pioneerliving net, saying that we should do this. "Mail our tea bags to Obama before he takes his seat in the West Wing." The post went viral on Breakthematrix. That same post was traced back to someone who goes by the user name of Gmack . He posted on January 19, 2009, in an article with the title, "Mail a Teabag to Congress and Senate".
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
@quicksiliva But let's face it, when did the Tea Party actually come into prominance and elect it's own candidates? It was after Obama was in office. And yes it was hijacked by redneck racists, white supremacists, stupid people that jerk off to the word, "Freedom" and even.... witches.
@quicksiliva"...when did the Tea Party actually come into prominence and elect its own candidates?" I'm not arguing this, I'm arguing when and by whom it started. I fucking hate Palin and her ilk who say they are all for freedom and individual liberty as long as it fits their arbitrary morality and claim they are fiscally conservative market supporters yet really wouldn't know freemarket capitalism even if Henry Hazlitt rose from the grave and bitch slapped them. Corporatist motherfuckers.
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
@hanzo138 I found information online that challenges your statement that Ron Paul supporters started it. I'm guessing that no matter who is right, it will probably go down wrong in the history books. What's the point anyway? Who cares when it started? All that matters is what is has become and who currently runs it. I admire Ron Paul, but I don't agree that the free market solves all of the nation's ills. But corporatism isn't good either, and that's where we are at.
@quicksiliva Oh I know, Palin, Armey, and the other establishment loving mother fuckers say it started in 2009 (when they hijacked the movement, go figure). I'll give you that it matters what it became, but I would still argue that it is NOT inherently racist. Sure there are bigots on board but they have been preaching their brand of anarcho socialism for a long time now and so it shouldn't be much of a surprise. It's just convenient for them to because of Obama's race.
@quicksiliva " I admire Ron Paul, but I don't agree that the free market solves all of the nation's ills." We don't claim ALL just most ;). I would say we were more of a corporatist/socialist cluster fuck. Mind you I'm not using socialist as a derogatory term, just a term of application. Hell with all the bailouts by Bush and Obama you got the very core of fascism (again not the derogatory, just the core of economic application)
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
@hanzo138 We agree that the US has gone fascist.... But I have a feeling that an unregulated free market will always end in fascism. No system can be sustained as long as greed is involved, and that includes socialism and fascism. There is really no way to harness these systems to keep them from going out of control, as long as human factor is involved. There will come a boiling point, then revolution, then start over small until it builds up again and ends the same. Humanity must learn
@quicksiliva The problem with your argument is that you fail to recognize that fascism only exists DUE to regulations wether they are put into place with the best of intentions or with the most malicious. There are no gods in the government! Greed can be a good thing, greed (more spicifically rational self-intrest) is inherent in primates and got the human race to where it is today. Greed in a sense has led to peace among hostile cultures as Adam Smith has documented.
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
@hanzo138 And what is the result of an unregulated purely Laissze-faire system? You think that it would be better if there was no government regulation in business? I disagree... I believe that corruption would be even worse, that darwinism would flourish, that it would still end in some sort of revolution taken on by workers if not intervened by government. A purely untouched free-market doesn't work any better than a communist one. Human greed leads to control over other men.
@quicksiliva Well for one you wouldn't have special interest laws, tariffs, and barriers to entry laws as we do now to create monopolies. History has shown us that in free markets monopolies don't exist for long periods of time if at all. These monstrosities of corrupt businesses are created by the state; their whole existence depends on regulations. The state allows the “altruistic” deviants go unpunished by the populace.
@quicksiliva How could corruption possibly be worse when the prospect of being granted unjust power is taken away? What would cause workers to revolt in a volunteerism system? The false assertion of worker exploitation? WTF is "Darwinism"? Are you suggesting that society would descend into chaos without an all powerful over watching "moral giver" in the market to enforce or very own primal nature? Where have I heard that line of reasoning before? Human greed leads to coperation as well.
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
@hanzo138 It's people like you that probably don't believe in a minimum wage. So let's let companies, and they would if the could, pay Americans $3 an hour. Let's let corporations pollute the planet, create unsafe work environments because it would increase profits, get huge tax breaks because we treat them like an individual instead of a corporation, let them outsource all of our jobs overseas so they can pay a Chinese man $2 an hour to stitch clothing. How can you not raise these issues?
@quicksiliva Minimum wage kills jobs putting the "grunt workers" as you say out of work. This is not debatable. As for the rest it seems your views are based on historical and contemporary employment schemes being de facto privileges handed out to "capitalists" by the political class or a direct result of the environment created by the political class. Also labor unions did a good job to counter act this, until they also got special privileges by the political class making them exploiters.
@hanzo138 I must note however that at this time (1920's-30's) the US was very much less unionized compared to Europe, but we were consistently still the best paid and compensated out of the two despite not having the unions to protect us.
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
@hanzo138 I am suggesting the reason regulations ever even went into law is because they let companies run amok, and it wasn't working out. They don't have self control or self governing as you believe. The free market doesn't just work itself out, unless you think that it's OK to be immoral, it's OK to pay people low wages, outsource jobs, create unsafe environments for employees, offer no benefits, fire people at will for no reason, treat people like dogs, etc. So no moral watchdog, huh?
@quicksiliva Actually most of the early regulations were special interest laws that benefited one entity over the other. You really didn't see these corporate monoliths until the market started to be restricted. That is where we get the myth of the robber barons, it was pretty much a manufactured hysteria created by corporatists, the very same people who ran their businesses like tyrannical d-bags. They couldn't make it on their own so they stared buying off the politicians.
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
@hanzo138 It' not a volunteer system... How is earning money to buy necessities like food, clothing, shelter, supporting your children, your family, a volunteer system. I'm tired of hearing this argument. A job is a necessity. A livable wage is a necessity. You might say that if people don't like the work conditions, they can go elsewhere, like a miner can go from one mine to another and breathe the same dust as before. We need the grunt workers.. Without them, the rich don't exist.
@quicksiliva A free market by its very definition is a volunteer system. There is a general inability to understand different uses and definitions of words here. Socialists refer to "capitalism" as the system in which the state hands out and protects capitalists' privileges and therefore oppression of labor workers. They don't see that capitalism, in the classical liberal tradition, means rather a free market based on free people, i.e., voluntary exchanges of value between free individuals.
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
@hanzo138 I enjoy your romanticized version of Capitalism, but it doesn't fairly benefit all, even the hard working. My whole problem is that I believe people are born of certain dispositions, a certain level of intelligence, artistic ability, mathematical prowess, etc... Hard work alone is not enough. While a welfare recipient is automatically labeled lazy and unmotivated, I don't see the motivated doing anything but gawking at what they have discribed the less fortunate to be.
@quicksiliva So your problem is that people aren't equal in ability & intellegence? "I don't see the motivated doing anything but gawking at what they have discribed the less fortunate to be." You are saying that about the most charitable country in the world? We as a nation give more money to causes than any other. WE gave more money to Haitti for aid faster than any government. Are you serious? You really think we wouldn't help eachother when reality says otherwise?
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
@hanzo138 Most charitable country? Who cares? We also have people living on our streets in cardboard boxes, a sign that richest country in the world doesn't take care of it's own people. We have class wars with the rich hording their money and laying off people becasue they don't want to offer healthcare? Why is it that Greed is the most important thing to you? Why do you sympathize with rich greedy assholes that refuse to suffer any loss due to moral obligations of health and wellness?
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
@hanzo138 A free market is a volunteer system? Did a crack baby volunteer to grow up to work at the 5 and dime? What I'm trying to say, is the it's not really what it appears. If you dig down and look at what Capitialism really is, it's Darwinism. It's survival of the fitest. Now you've bought the shaped definition with key words, like "free market, freedom, voluntary, etc" But the truth is, it's not those things to all people... It's freedom to those that are successful.
@quicksiliva Our government has been building a culture of dependency and creating modern slavery through protectionist regulations, licensing laws, barriers to entry, the list goes on. When our government threatens to jail the impoverished for "illegally" providing services, hairdressing for example, you honestly wonder why we have such poor people? They are currently prevented from helping themselves, thus turning them to crime, drugs, prostitution.
@quicksiliva But I guess it is more moral give them entitlement without accomplishment despite the psychological and social harms that is caused by such treatment, rather than allowing them to help themselves and each other and have a sense of pride and accomplishment. There are so many road blocks for our poor that come straight from economic illiterates regulating the market and corporatist politicians that it is unbelievable. Regardless I guess that is a product of the free market huh?

@hanzo138 It was Jesus who said, help the leppers, the prostitutes, the bad people that everyone looked down on..And you are still spitting on these people, people who've never walked a day in your lucky shoes, and you label them losers and beggars. You obvlously haven't lived their life. You don't know what it's like to be them. But you easily cast them into that group of people that refuses hard work and accomplishment. I bet you expect the drug pusher to stop and go work for minimum wage!
@quicksiliva You know I'm not religious right? Your apeal to religious authority really dosen't mean much to me. Also thank you for making assumtions about my life. You are totally wrong, but nice try. I can tell now that you have no idea what the fuck you are talking about.
@quicksiliva I have volunteered at a homeless shelter and there we helped them find jobs, gave them a place to stay while they worked and saved until they could go out on their own. These people were much more proud, grateful, and confident because of this process rather than have money just given to them, enabling them and continuing the cycle. I have connected with a lot of people, and helped them get on their feet, and learned what was really in their way first hand. So in short, FUCK OFF!
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
@hanzo138 Dumb Fuck, that's right, if you don't have the capital and you can't pay people a livable wage, a wage in which a man can take care of his family, something you don't care about, then you shouldn't own a fucking business. Talk about responsibility, you're not going to get away paying someone SHIT, while you build your business to buy that $500k home for yourself. If you think Americans agree more with you than I, you need to look around. People aren't satisfied.
@quicksiliva Without appeals to emotion could you define "livable wage" in actual numbers, and explain how, if implemented, small businesses could handle a large workforce without having to lay off people to keep in business, as well as how this would keep entry level jobs in service if the pay doesn't fully match the service, and overall not lead to massive unemployment nationwide? It's called the law of unintended consequences and it would fuck over the least-skilled workers.
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
@hanzo138 Yeah, I can define a livable wage in numbers... It's called, living in house, not forced into an apartment to pay some landlord, redistributing your money to some landlord who doesn't fix anything. Owning a car to get to work, paying for affordable health insurance on one's own, either through work or other, but not going bankrupt should illness arise. Owning furniture, food, clothing, paying the frees for your kids to attend school... Basic things that you and I take for granted.
@quicksiliva That all seems a bit arbitrary don't you think? Each one of those is vastly different from person to person. I mean I give you an opening to present a positive argument and that is what you come up with? You know what though; let’s make minimum wage $75 an hour, what could go wrong right?
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
@hanzo138 NO it's not.... A home, a vehicle, food, clothing, life's necessities are not vastly different from person to person.... You don't need straw man arguments, because you're arguments are idiotic without. Perhaps if you gave one good argument, I wouldn't be calling you and idiot over and over.
@quicksiliva Yes they do very from person to person! A house hold of two is different from a household of four! Shit man you fail at basic economics and math too? Also if my arguments are not "good" then you should prove me wrong by demolishing them! I even gave you a chance to show me how your position could be implemented , asked three critical questions, and all you did was give me some bullshit arbitrary answer and resort to juvenile taunting. Bravo! You showed me!
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
@hanzo138 A household of four needs a car the same as a household of 2 or 1..... And you're trying to educate me? What is your point? Because you're not making any sense. Everyone in a house needs food, clothing, etc... Again, I don't understand how you are trying to argue a livable wage as something that differs from one person to the next, when everyone needs the same basic necessities. If you add up the costs of a basic home, a basic car, food, insurance etc, minimum wage doesn't work.
@quicksiliva A household of four will "need more" than a household of two in regards to square footage in house size, they will need more clothing, they will consume MORE food, they will have to pay MORE for insurance to cover the kids (unless you want them to work, you know to make it equal?) Get it now? Again I asked for a number, an actual tangible wage. Then I asked some very important questions about that wage that you must be able to address. If you can't I will no longer waste my time.
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
@hanzo138 Exactly, and you think minimum wage is enough to support a family. It's not. What you're saying is it costs more with more people in a family. Well no shit sherlock. What I'm saying is that min. wage isn't enough to cover one person's expenses, let alone a family. GET IT? I'm not giving you a number. It's not my job, but here's what I want you to do. Work a minimum wage job, try to buy a house, a car, all the insurances, and tell me just how feasible it really is.
@quicksiliva " you think minimum wage is enough to support a family" Um... I never made that claim. What was pointing out is that a person with no dependents needs less than those who do, therefore a living wage for one can be less or more compared to another. It's not hard to get. "I can define a livable wage in numbers" "I'm not giving you a number" NICE! And you STILL ignore the questions that are more important than giving me a number.
@quicksiliva Since our money is super inflated (we are even in an inflation bubble, THANKS Federal Reserve!), sadly people can no longer depend on one income to support an entire family. So really, all of these minimum wage/living wage arguments add up to nothing more than reactionary bullshit lazy solutions to a greater problem, rather than recognizing that our current central economic planning is failing. There is an onion of disaster here and it seems you are hung up on just the outer layer.
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
@hanzo138 No, people can no longer depend on a minimum wage income to support a family. Adversely, a Doctor's income can support a whole family and probably other families. A CEO could probably support a whole town. But we're talk just the basics, not the luxeries. What is the solution? You don't want a minimum wage, so you're OK with companies paying people even less? Because that's what they would do, given the freedom you want them to have.

jeremywkx "Barack the Magic Negro" is a song by American political satirist Paul Shanklin who wrote and recorded it FOR the Rush Limbaugh Show and he included on his album "We Hate the USA". He may have gotten the idea from David Ehrenstein but Mr Shanklin is a white parody writer who seems to get a lot of his ideas from others. This still doesn't answer why there is so many racist comments thrown at this president, but people on the right call it "playing the race card" if someone notices.
drawmen 5 months ago
jeremywkx "Obama the 'Magic Negro'" By David Ehrenstein was an opinion piece where he lamented that white America would see Barak Obama as a 'Magic Negro' using a term coined by sociologists as a figure "to assuage white "guilt" (i.e., the minimal discomfort they feel) over the role of slavery and racial segregation in American history, while replacing stereotypes of a dangerous, highly sexualized black man with a benign figure for whom interracial sexual congress holds no interest."...

@drawmen Barack the magic negro was created by a black LA Times columnist. The song of it was a parody of what this guy wrote.

she can't understand the complex issues of why people are upset. the only reason she can come up with is that they must be racist. maybe some of them are racist but she's being a hypocrite for making broad assumptions on the entire group. isn't that one thing the left is against? putting everyone in the same category? but yet thats what she is doing here. I do think its odd that the tea party forms only once a black man is in office. but not everyone in it are racists. there r more issues

Pr0No08 9 months ago
@Pr0No08 It a good show...if you're an underachiever with a sub-par intellect. I'm sure the world's greatest minds are not tuning in. And I'm not saying this because who they insulted. I say this, because as I said, "small minds discuss people." What's strange about that?
omarlives 9 months ago
@omarlives But ideas don't turn the world -- people do. The idea of genocide doesn't do anything by itself. It's the attractive politician who comes to power touting the idea that needs to be watched. It's a good thing to discuss who is doing what in the world, and who is saying what. How else would you know what ideas are floating around? So, I don't think your cast so much of a pearl as a crusty old rock. Roosevelt's meaning was that gossip is small minded.
puberis 9 months ago
@puberis "Gossip is small minded". Hmph, I wonder if that's what I meant when I said Rossevelt's quote. lol. It is! Aren't the tabloids just gossip? Is this not basically a tabloids TV show? I really don't understand what are you trying to defend here. Are you saying this show is what great minds should be worried about? Ideas are the tools or vehicles to turn the world without it we couldn't do anything. Are you trying to say ideas are useless? If I cast rocks, you must be casting diarrhea.
omarlives 9 months ago
@puberis Down play the power of ideas and give power to the people that discuss people? LMAO! What is wrong with you? I'm sure Plato and all the other famous ancient philosopher's would have have a problem with your small minded way of thinking. "It's a good thing to discuss who is doing what in the world" or Discuss the ideas of who is saying what? I think you're just one of those people that wants to take the polar opposite stands of a POV, because you hate when you come across someone smarter
omarlives 9 months ago
@omarlives I didn't come up against someone smarter--just a bigger ego. You attack me instead of my arguments. I bring forth ideas, and you can't live up to your own standards. Plato spoke of the Philosopher King. That was a mould for a man (i.e. a PERSON). Furthermore, don't political ideas come from discussions on who's doing what, and what should be done? Political philosophies of the Enlightenment wouldn't have come up without criticism of monarchs (People discussing people!) Wise up, boy.
puberis 9 months ago
@puberis so the wise and enlightened (Cast of Red Eye) discuss people and the small minded discuss ideas? LMAOOOO WOOOOO u'd make a good politcian. spin is in! You sure are wise and enlightened!!!(sarcasm)
omarlives 9 months ago
@omarlives You're arguing points I never made, and shy away from the ones I did. I never said discussing ideas was foolish; rather, I only said discussing people isn't. Furthermore, I never made an argument defending the show. Focus! In either case, this is a news show, where a group of people discuss things going on in the world (again: who's doing what in the world). I don't know why you're expecting ontological arguments to be lashed about. Sign up for a philosophy class if you want that.
puberis 9 months ago
@puberis So, basically what you're saying is the tabloids isn't for idiots? lol
omarlives 9 months ago
@omarlives I didn't say that either. But no, people who read tabloids aren't idiots. Just like how people who find the word "Snapple" fascinating aren't idiots either. This isn't a gossip show. I mean, you yourself are talking about the people on this show just as much as they discuss people in the news. Does that make you a small mind? No. You're sharing your opinion about people you encounter in the world and what they're doing and thinking.
puberis 9 months ago
@puberis I'm sure Noam Chomsky isn't reading articles about what Charlie Sheen or Lindsay Lohan is up to. You think a mind like yours would ever had figured out where the word Snapple comes from? No. Decoding things that are not obvious is not the same as discussing and cracking jokes about celebs. I'm sorry. But you never figured out that people that read tabloids have a lower IQ than people that don't. You must be a real mongoloid. Me discussing these ppl is small minded of me.Chomsky wouldnt.
omarlives 9 months ago
@omarlives lol, a mind like mine is too busy with real problems to figure out where the word "Snapple" came from. It's something that was created in a marketing room...not the recesses of the deepest secrets of alchemical knowledge, hahah. It's not the Theory of Relativity you stumbled upon. But, I guess if you think you're solving the worlds problems with that, I guess I'm not one to spoil your fun. Just quit harping on others yourself. Instead, figure out why it's called "Mr. PiBB", hahah!
puberis 9 months ago
@puberis lol yea a mind like mines is too busy to try to figure out things like that, too. but one day eating lunch n having a snapple it just came to me without the effort and brain power it would have taken a person like urself. It might have taken u months of research to figure it out, but that's probably bcuz u think ppl that read the tabloids don't have small minds! lol

I have been all over this country, and a few places around the world for that matter, and I can tell you that you would be hard pressed to match its beauty. Your comment betrays your pathetic, smug, ignorance.
TheChoada 11 months ago
@TheChoada I loved your comment, until the last sentence. You're probably right about N.C. I made the comment because I figured you for the type of person who would resent living in what seems like one of the most socially conservative states, in the "Bible belt." I may be wrong about that impression of N.C. though; I'm not American.
ErikMartin81 11 months ago
@ErikMartin81 Actually NC is a liberal state, hence the democrat governor Beverly Perdue. Way to know what you are talking about. And what would be bad about living around people with a strong sense of morality no matter what their motivations or weather you share their belief systems? Good hearted religious people actually make good neighbors and citizens. I myself am a deist and bear no intollerance twoards what others have decided to believe. Its simply their business.
TheChoada 11 months ago
@TheChoada I'm sorry for not being so serious and factually correct in my response to your reasoned "fucking joke" comment. There's nothing wrong with living together with religious people, as long as they don't want the government to infringe upon our civil liberties. The type of people who troll on Red Eye videos, such as you did, are often of the intolerant raging liberal variety however. In any case, it was an unserious response to a crude comment.
ErikMartin81 11 months ago
@ErikMartin81 Im not the one who made the "fucking joke" comment. Once again, way to know what you are talking about. And as to moral people wanting to live in a society that reflects their own moral values, well I agree with that. I think all people want that. Thats why we elect government representatives to pass the laws that shape the country we live in. And as to "civil liberties", well those are each individually subjective matters. And im generally conservative.
TheChoada 11 months ago
@TheChoada Sorry about the mixup; I'm not used to communicating in YouTube threads. I would agree with most of what you wrote in this most recent post, though I'm opposed to politicians passing laws meant to enforce certain types of moral social behaviour. Individuals should be free to run their lives as they see fit, as long as they respect their fellow men's right to do the same. Civil liberties aren't really subjective, and most are objectively defined in the Bill of Rights.

But corporatism isn't good either, and that's where we are at.
quicksiliva 1 year ago
@quicksiliva Oh I know, Palin, Armey, and the other establishment loving mother fuckers say it started in 2009 (when they hijacked the movement, go figure). I'll give you that it matters what it became, but I would still argue that it is NOT inherently racist. Sure there are bigots on board but they have been preaching their brand of anarcho socialism for a long time now and so it shouldn't be much of a surprise. It's just convenient for them to because of Obama's race.

Humanity must learn
quicksiliva 1 year ago
@quicksiliva The problem with your argument is that you fail to recognize that fascism only exists DUE to regulations wether they are put into place with the best of intentions or with the most malicious. There are no gods in the government! Greed can be a good thing, greed (more spicifically rational self-intrest) is inherent in primates and got the human race to where it is today. Greed in a sense has led to peace among hostile cultures as Adam Smith has documented.

Human greed leads to control over other men.
quicksiliva 1 year ago
@quicksiliva Well for one you wouldn't have special interest laws, tariffs, and barriers to entry laws as we do now to create monopolies. History has shown us that in free markets monopolies don't exist for long periods of time if at all. These monstrosities of corrupt businesses are created by the state; their whole existence depends on regulations. The state allows the “altruistic” deviants go unpunished by the populace.
hanzo138 1 year ago
@quicksiliva How could corruption possibly be worse when the prospect of being granted unjust power is taken away? What would cause workers to revolt in a volunteerism system? The false assertion of worker exploitation? WTF is "Darwinism"? Are you suggesting that society would descend into chaos without an all powerful over watching "moral giver" in the market to enforce or very own primal nature? Where have I heard that line of reasoning before? Human greed leads to coperation as well.

How can you not raise these issues?
quicksiliva 1 year ago
@quicksiliva Minimum wage kills jobs putting the "grunt workers" as you say out of work. This is not debatable. As for the rest it seems your views are based on historical and contemporary employment schemes being de facto privileges handed out to "capitalists" by the political class or a direct result of the environment created by the political class. Also labor unions did a good job to counter act this, until they also got special privileges by the political class making them exploiters.
hanzo138 1 year ago
@hanzo138 I must note however that at this time (1920's-30's) the US was very much less unionized compared to Europe, but we were consistently still the best paid and compensated out of the two despite not having the unions to protect us.

So no moral watchdog, huh?
quicksiliva 1 year ago
@quicksiliva Actually most of the early regulations were special interest laws that benefited one entity over the other. You really didn't see these corporate monoliths until the market started to be restricted. That is where we get the myth of the robber barons, it was pretty much a manufactured hysteria created by corporatists, the very same people who ran their businesses like tyrannical d-bags. They couldn't make it on their own so they stared buying off the politicians.

Without them, the rich don't exist.
quicksiliva 1 year ago
@quicksiliva A free market by its very definition is a volunteer system. There is a general inability to understand different uses and definitions of words here. Socialists refer to "capitalism" as the system in which the state hands out and protects capitalists' privileges and therefore oppression of labor workers. They don't see that capitalism, in the classical liberal tradition, means rather a free market based on free people, i.e., voluntary exchanges of value between free individuals.

@hanzo138 I enjoy your romanticized version of Capitalism, but it doesn't fairly benefit all, even the hard working.
