the 90's was definately better. Look at how the dress these days. and they get it from the bands of today. guys today need to stop wearing their sisters, or their girlfriends pants. it looks gay.
I think the reason why I don't like today's music very much is because I only hear small bits of the most popular songs. Even if I can I won't willingly listen to the full version of these pop songs, but I don't give the rest of the biz a chance either. I think maybe that's the reason why so many people throughout the years always say the same - because they don't give new music a chance.
HOLY SANTA CLAUS SHIT! I remember the first time I ever heard this song. I was 4 and my dads football team won their game and we all went out for burgers... AT HOOTERS!
Oh man I was only in like 1st grade when this album and song came out. Now I'm in college and I can totally relate to the lyrics now. Plus I love that chill vibe it has.
Music is not getting better, nor is it getting worse. Music simply changes over time. People need to stop saying music is getting progressively worse because its not. Its just your perception. I grew up in the nineties and this music was considered crap and people were reminiscing about 80s music. So cut the "yesterdays music was better" bullshit and just enjoy this song if you like it.
@carlsm95 true people. music diversely changes over time. remember the old country folks music back in the 1800's? back then they probably thought that was the shit. everyone has theyre own taste, and as music changes over the future coming ages so do peoples opinions.
Actually, music back in the 90's revolved more around the creativity of the artists instead of the current media trend. This is the main reason you don't see too many guitars or drums in popular music today, all you need is a computerized beat and catchy phrase relevant to something popular at the time. Music is getting worse, since the music industry is no longer promoted by the bands who are creative and original, we now have simple cash producing and unoriginal gimmicks.
I respect your opinion as well, but this is factual information for the most part. The music industry is losing the music and just becoming the 'industry'. I understand some people like the popular music of today. Music is getting worse, if things keep going this way, real instruments requiring passion and skill are sadly going to be instinct in new music. Revenue is today's passion. The facts are all around us, catchy songs make the top charts these days.
@shawnkilledyou I would love to say you are wrong...but you're not. As a musician who has been in many bands, and who (sadly) sometimes listens to the radio, music is dieing. If it's catchy, its a hit. It could be a song about eating corn, and if it's catchy, it'll top. You know what you're talking about :(
I appreciate it, thanks. It's a shame that popular music is where it's at now. All I do now is ignore the garbage on the radio and play my guitar whenever I feel the need. I got my passion, that's good enough for me.
Guys, I was about 18 yrs old and in high school when this was popular back in 1999. and TRUST me this music was considered "not good" compared to the 80's at the time. It was comparable to Lady Gaga and Justin Bieber music at the time. Some ppl loved it and others thought music like this was going down hill. So in the year 2021, people will probably look back to 2011 and think "Lady Gaga and Justin Bieber were amazin"!
@badddgurl791 I totally agree with you... people have to realize that beauty is in the eye of the beholder, there is no such thing as "good" or "bad" music, and music doesnt get better or worse, it just changes over time. I hate when people say todays music sucks and yesterdays music was so much better. Its just their perception, its not absolute truth. The older generation has always been criticizing the younger generation.
you guys are faggots im sick of going to videos just to hear about how sucky this generation is. hey remind me again. which generation has a super computer in their pocket and which one had to use dial up to load porn in 20 minutes?
stfu theres nothing wrong about this generation that past generations arent guilty of.
@wwjd4someslayer And who invented those supercomputers for your generation's pockets? Oh yeah! The generation you seem to be pissed at xP A word of advice: don't take people's opinions so personally.
also im not pissed at the previous generation im just sick of how the older generation always bitches about the younger generation for the stupidest shit. thats an ongoing pattern that should stop bc it's not only irresponsible but its illogical. im guessing the reason is simply bc you guys grew up hearing criticism from the generation older than you, so now you feel the need to do the same bullshit to the younger generation.
OMG I finally found this song!!!! YES! WIN! @vakabrava It was a parody, back in the day Sugar Ray was a heavy metal band. Seeing as how no one else listened to metal they went more mainstream. None the less. Sugar Ray was amazing both ways.
the NecroPunisher, thank's x share my friend, Nice song, congratulations sugar ray, nice voice and talent.

@vakabrava It was a parody, back in the day Sugar Ray was a heavy metal band. Seeing as how no one else listened to metal they went more mainstream. None the less. Sugar Ray was amazing both ways.
