Many different styles call this move by different names.. and the bil sao is taught from a static position. That's like saying Savate stole it's kicks from TKD. Some of the stuff is similar but Contact Combat wouldn't cease it's attack after the hit block, or in this case, Bursting.

I've seen people fight like maniacs only to be told that they're bleeding badly and then they notice they have been cut. I'd rather get cut in the arm than take a stab to my body, just like i'd rather go to jail than end up in a coffin

When there is someone who is attacking with knife i really don't think about thinks like this one.. I have just one target.. The hand holding the knife i dont care how i will disarm him.. I just MUST disarm .. That's all.. And everyone is able to fight you just need to have something in your brain too.. Not just muscles

This remins me of Jim Carry's skits where he says "you know how karate-instructors say 'come at me with a knife-- but you have to hold it WAY over your head!." '

Then he says the response, "yeah, while Im at it, why don't I just put my head behind the tire of your CAR?"

You also don't need to "cock your arm" in order to strike while rotating your torso-- unless you're really stupid.

anyone attacking from the front like that is an idiot, frontal attacks should always be done with reverse grip.
