Graphics Card Problem Nvidia 8500GT

I have the same card and the same problem, except I can boot in safe mode and Last good config. My PC then finds the graphics card as new hardware and after I install it and its drivers its the same c**p all over again.

The same thing (kinda) happened to me. I was trying to play roblox, when it said it needed a 15gb (I think) graphics card, and my current one is 0gb. WTF!?

While playing any 3d Game, Such as Counter Strike ! The game goes and loads very very extremely fast ! or it goes veryy slow ( it doesnt lagg but its like slow motion) for like 3 seconds then it returns in normal for like 1 second and keeps repeating

@oerdi123 how old is your graphics card? if it struggles with counter strike, then get a new video card. i have a radeon hd 6850. thing's fricken awesome. will handle any game you throw at it on high settings.

Try my copper shim to lower your gpu temps and keep your laptop from failing. It is only $7 and comes with thermal paste. Search for "M1330 copper shim" on ebay.

hey dude try to plug in the 6 pin connector to your card if your grapichs card have one? , or try to take off your grapichs card and put it in again :) hope this help!

Card is damaged, PCI port in mother board could be damaged

card damage - if the card came with a fan, and the fan doesn work, the card will overheat.

Take it out, pull all of the plugs that go to the card, then put all of the cords back in a nd run it once more, if this doesnt work, your card is damaged

Probably one the strangest things I have done

My XFX 8800 Ultra GTX about 2.5 years old started to have display issues

warranty is out (in USA its 2x Lifetime, UK just 2 years)

Baked it at 200 for 8 mins

hmm, try pushing the card in more, and replace monitor plugs, its not a hardware problem with the graphics cause the display is still fine behind all that, means the GPU and possably RAM are working fine, its just a connection error somewhere, if not, its defective ram on the card which means its screwed :)

i had an nvidia 7800 for 2 years when it crashed while I was playing Runescape. Had slimilar lines on the screen. I had it replaced with the same card and one month later while playing DotA the card crashed again. I had it replaced AGAIN and it crashed month later... could it be my motherboard?? coz the onboard intergrated graphics dosent work too...

Solution...

Replace your Video(graphic) card

or put it in the oven... i heard rumors it fix it

200 degree for 10 minutes NOT MORE... and let it cool for an hour than put back the fan on the card and bang it works3... but idk i never tried this XD

dont play too much or dont do alot of hight quality stuff ... unless you have like a Huge Fan not a like 30 mm fan i mean like a 180mm fan right under it

i got this card oso used 9 month already burn... luckyly i get this card with 3 years warranty, i send back to the shop after 1 month get a new 1 back :D. actually this graphic card original heatsink must remove and change to other heatsink aluminium like CM Coolviva G1, cause the original heatsink cannot less the tempurature gpu with big aluminium and a small fan, that why burn fast...

I have similar problem with Powercolor HD2900XT but I can see my screen good, only have 3 lines in upper, middle and down screen of monitor... I think ill set fan cooling to 100% since I didnt do anything. not even overclocked, its all manufacturer settings :o and my driver is latest catalyst 8.10, doesnt work ffs... Ill see what can be done, if I ts broken damn, warranty ill use, also bought 1 year ago

Maybe the drivers aren't installed. But your biggest enemy when it comes to graphics card is heat. When too much heat disrupts the graphics card, and it is not being cooled properly, something like this could happen.

It looks like the card is on its last legs. You should replace it!
