the Piracy arguement is a smoke screen for an uncreative industry, (to attempt to reamin uncreative).
If the multi-media and artwork (etc.) of a DVD or CD were made to be something special or collectable. Perhaps people would stop 'swiping' files.
But when a CD of 12 songs contains one decent track.... I dont see the arguement for 'artist support' gaining much ground.

It's all karma- back when, you got vinyl only knowing the hit single & the B side of the 45 you first bought- a clever scheme by the Biz to get you to buy. You get the LP, toss that puppy on the table- you hear the other 8 tunes ...a bunch of crap! Big music biz never liked me, indie TV producer, bustin' for a fast interview with a "star". I don't know what to think of this vid... It's well done (as in well made), but if everything was free - some would go without, since greed would cause some to take more than they need. Then the ones with less might barter with the one that has more... Then a mini economy will start and we will be back where we started... This gives me an idea for my next video though...

Nice idea but the way it was set out was sort of awkward. Still it's good though. Record companies are too greedy to be allowed any profits, that's what I think anyway.

If I wasn't scared as shit of people bootleggin my films, I might be a little more behind this. Pirating hurts smaller artists and the labels that promote them.
