i forgot to mention that the UP mainline is about 25 feet from my house, and the BNSF line is about 20 feet from my house, one runs behind the house and one in front, so i get to see it all!! lol
hey great video!! I use to live in Dexter, Mo so i know how often the trains come through there. I moved closer to St Louis, to a town that is full of train action, UP alone runs over 100 - 110 trains a day through my town now. BNSF has its local that comes through every now and then, talk about plenty of rail fanning!!!
Thanks for this video. My Grandfather retired from the Missouri Pacific. He was a REAL Railroad man (unlike AntiFoamer), who worked on a section gang. I loved seeing the screaming eagle on that UP heritage loco. It reminded me of the Jenks blue MoPac GP's that used to run through Harviell on the main line south of Poplar Bluff. I grew up living beside the R.R. tracks in Harviell.
I know, they can "inconvenience" people at times, but this country would be nothing without them. Think of that next time you eat, turn on a light switch, or start a car.

I rode the last Mo-Pac unit in Poplar Bluff in 1994. It got repainted about 38 days later. I was lucky.
