  • You have beautiful fingers....No homo.

  • Can u also wrap the feet but not the toes too?

  • when I go to the gym for weightlifting and some other exercises with weight, is this good for the gym training? I mean I got the "weight training gloves" but that's irritating my hand. so is it good for it too? thx for the answer. anyway very nice how you explaining that!

  • Thanks a lot very useful!

  • thanks man but when i try them on its nyc nd not too tight but it feels lyk im wrapping it alot around my hand isit normal??

  • Comment removed

  • ty for this video! I have been having so much trouble in wrapping my hands and this fit my hand perfectly again thanks! also a question how would you wrap it if you where going to where a shorter length for say lifting weights? because i got from training to that and i really dont feel like taking the wraps off so would this way feel normal for both purposes?

  • Very helpful. Thank you Sir for teaching us. ;-) I favourited it and will keep practicing.

  • AWESOME THANKS!!

  • loved this tutorial! thanks!

  • I like using 180" wraps more than shorter types... I like more knuckle protection whether on the heavy bag or in matches, I find the long wraps to be more useful... Although I do variate wrist and knuckle protection for different events...

  • i find that it undoes itself unless after i weave through each finger over the knuckle i go once around the wrist per weave, if that helps

  • good vid man,but i need a new pair of wraps cause i stayed short

  • Thanks for this tutorial, I havent done muay thai for about a year and im starting again tomorrow :) I always come to this video if I forget how to put on my hands raps, thanks :)

  • Very helpful! Thank you :)

  • Now I know how to do it.

    Thanks to you

    Thank you

  • I was looking for a specific way to adopt, and I've surely found it here ! Thank you for the vid :)

a detail who bothered me is only when you wrap your knuckles the second time, right after each finger, your hand seems a little too tight !

Great video, will surely help lots of people :)

  • i forgot how to do it because i occasionally go to gym. thanks i remember now, i can do it even at home!

  • Thanks man ! helped me alot !

  • Thx i needed this

  • Thanks a whole heap mun!

  • Really good guide. I wrapped my thumb a couple more times but def. the best I seen as a beginner. A great help. Cheers!

  • This is the best way that I found online!! Thank you soo much !!

  • Great video, it helped me a lot.

  • Great video for beginners!!

  • Nice tutorial! Excellent for me as I am a beginner

  • Good Job!

This helped me a lot :) I only just bought some wraps today, since whenever I go bare hands or with just a glove on the punching bag, I start to bleed between my pinky and ring finger (the wrapping between the fingers helped there.) I just finished a 1 1/2hr work out on the bag and there's no bleeding.. and my knuckles arn't bruised.. which is a good sign :D Thanks mate!

  • ok, but at what point do i add in the plaster?

  • Thanks, I downloaded this video for tutorial until I memorize it. But mine was too short, only 4mtr

  • I dont like this way of wraping, but thats just me.When you wrap this way,you dont have anything to grab with your fist.

  • If you want to make your knuckles harder can you start with this and make the part protecting your knuckles thinner and on the end don't wear this anymore? Does that help?

  • 17tumba's here too!

  • 16 cabrones se pusieron las vendas en los pies.

  • realy nice, i always used to wrap my hands without goin through my fingers, now i know its not to protect your fingers but to make a big and hard pillow over your knuckles

    gj and keep it up

  • this is nice but it kinda gets my thumb a bit numb, did i make it too tight?

  • @ady139104 - It may be too tight. Try it and let me know how it goes.

  • No wonder the uploader (I think he is also the guy explaining) doesn't rage on people like TheRiceey31: he's martial artist. Martial artists do not lose their self control because of some stupid kids. Nice video, well explained. Thank you ;)

  • Thanks this was very helpful

  • this the classic one..

  • chuck norris can do this with his ass

  • @222therockers - Gauze on the knuckles is a great idea for added protection. Since filming this video, I wrap up my wrist a little more for added protection.

  • @trosanelli thnx man i watch both of videos with short wracks and long and i combinate and i made in prefect

  • yeah this is my favorite wraping it fits even after trainning

  • YES!! i can finnaly be a ninja now!

  • there are several ways for wrapping and success also depends on the size of your hand. You simply have to try different methods and see what works for YOU personally. I dont understand all these haters here.... It's not gonna work on first try for anyone. You have to practice simply. Dont balme the video uploader for failing to wrap your hands properly...

  • thank you very much! greetings from italy!

  • for bag training i use the mauy thai hand wrap way cus it protects my knuckles real good

  • Thank you for this video demonstration, as a Taekwondoer moving to kickboxing, wrapping is new to me! Very clear and concise, I wrapped up as the video was playing, nice speed for even a novice like me! Thanks again!

  • awesome video helped allot Thank you!

  • Thanks. This helped me realize what I was doing wrong.

  • mine are 10 feet. long or short???

  • @ozzotheozman 10 feet is 120 inches which is generally considered to be short.

  • Respect to the uploader for not raging on theses little shitheads for talking so much shit...

I wonder why are they here if they are so 'advanced'?

Good job, it helped me and it will help many others!

  • @17tumba - Thanks for your comment and support. I am just sharing something I love on my channel. I shared this video after tons of research and experimentation so I hope that people will appreciate the effort that I did for everyone. For all the haters it's important to remember the specific purpose I had in mind. It had to be quick, easy to follow, and work for training purposes. I think some misunderstand these purposes. For example, I would use this for actually fights.

  • @trosanelli helped me too! I re started Kyokushin Karate recently!

  • @trosanelli - I have to say, I did lot's of research myself and tried so many variations but yours is by far the best. I now pretty much use it as a "standard" model since it offers the best customized balanced between thumb and wrist protection, which is where I need it most. Thanks for posting!

  • @17tumba true

  • @OhmzDj i guess your that much better? C'mon have you ever seen a pro boxer's hand wrapping? They use about the same length, dude.

  • Very effective, very easy to follow. Keeps the fingers nice and tight when they're inside a glove. My only concern is that the thumb isn't really wrapped up. How would you protect that?

  • @IntaFlex - This method is many for bag training purposes so I didn't worry about the thumb much. To protect the thumb, ion the first three wraps around the wrist, go up and around the thumb after each time around the wrist.

  • Searched many vids and found this one very helpful and useful, thanks.

  • unless all you crap talkers have a response video STFU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I tried it and it works. To the haters, maybe try dropping your ego some and not blaming the wrap for your lack of competence.

  • thank you very much!! i searched the whole youtue and this is the best way to wrap your hands!!!

  • @TheRicey31 - What went wrong? Did you have trouble following the vid? Did they not stay wrapped? Did you feel they didn't protect your hands?

  • dude the blood isnt getting to ur fingers stop putting so much xDD

  • @s0ldmys0ul - Haha! This video took about 10 takes to make sure my hand didn't drift out of the view. From trying to hold my hand steady for so long, my hand was totally numb by this take.

  • yes this video explains it better than any other i found!

  • Great video

  • @OhmzDj - I posted this method because it's simple, easy, and effective. I think the popularity of the video and the fact it gets over 600 views/day speaks for itself. Nuff Said!

  • @trosanelli Popularity =/= Quality

  • @OhmzDj I'm new to the sport and im curious about your comment. Most of the people in my gym use these, they are called mexican style hand wraps and you have to use the entire length. What do you mean by "over wrapped"?

  • what sort of injuries can happen if you just wear gloves and dont wrap

  • @mthw123456789 - I don't wrap sometime, but if I do it to often, I get problems similar to carpel tunnel.

  • @mthw123456789

If you dont wrap up you will rub away the skin on your knuckles, leading to bleeding / burning the skin.

that is if your using mma gloves though. i used a pair of mma gloves and really buggered up my knuckles from not wrapping. had to wait for my skin to heal and its been a weak or so.

    so wrap up !

    lol

  • @fischq

Yea i learned the hard way too.. my nuckles are scabbed now & i have to put up with shadow boxing until they heal.. So wrap them up! haha

  • @mthw123456789 you can break your wrist

  • I watched a few videos prior to this & this is by far the best in most ways. It was clear & well demonstrated with patience & minimal movement. The focus was always on the hand & not deviating to something else. I have spent some time in Fairtex Bangplee, Thailand & wanted a reminder of the way they wrapped there. This was the closest to the method the ex pros there used so I felt very happy watching this. Thanks for a good instruction (reminder). Maybe some music too to flow with the vid?

  • @dominus1100 - Hey man, I appreciate the comment. I taped myself wrapping about ten times before I found the best camera angle and was able to keep my hand steady the whole time and in the shot.

  • Thank you very much for this Video.I´m a beginner in MMA and this Video was a great help for me.

  • I looked at a lot of different to do videos on hand wraps and by far this was the easiest to do and to memorize. My only problem is the in between on each finger hurts the webbing of my hands and makes them itch like crazy. Any ideas on rectifying the issue?

  • @DMuertos13 - Without seeing you wrap our fingers, I can't give you specific advise, but here's some things to try... 1. The wraps may be too tight. Make sure to stretch your fingers apart and make a fist occasional as you wrap. 2. Maybe different wraps would help. Wraps come in different materials and stretch differently. 3. When you go between the fingers, the wrap should go on a diagonal around the bottom of the finger, not straight down on the web. 4. Use some powder on your knuckles.

  • good vid! now i can wear them properly

  • ive had some 180 hand wraps and never used them because ive lost my temper trying to put them on.

now im sitting here with both my hands wrapped up. hooray.

    very good video !

  • @fischq - I am happy to hear that this video helped you.

  • look his stupid pinky finger its like brokin XD

  • I just started taken mma classes and this was very helpful and the easiest for me. Good video.

  • mhh i'm not satisfied with this technique... my fingers feel too loose like its less stabilisation there

  • what about without loops

  • @360xboxxx hes probably 50 and uses his hands for punching things, not twirling a joystick.

  • @crash3400 well, i thought mine was a rather mild reply, however you are obviously very sensitive, so ill try not to hurt your feelings.... GO FUCK YOURSELF, i would prefer for you to please "make me wish i was never born" so go for gold, and lets see what you got boy.

  • Just started boxing and this really helped

  • @narutocloneclumsy5 so did i

  • how long are those wraps? (how many inches?)

  • @raphaelandrada09 - They're 180"

  • @trosanelli thanks

  • there is something wrong !

when i wrap it between the fingers after some time while closing my hand it is totally fucked up from the last finger side !

  • Thanks!+

  • what brand is your hand wraps

  • @TheAngelofenix - These are Century Brand.

  • does the wrap come with a loop?

  • @crossovr2 - Yes, it does. Pause the video at 18 secs. and you can see it.

  • are my hands supposed to feel like they have been wrapped up with bandages after a serious injury or are they just too long and tight?

  • @mblagoj - Yes, they will feel like you wrapped them with a bandage. It's too tight if you make a fist and it feels like the blood isn't circulating. I didn't show it in this demonstration but you can occasionally make a fist to test the tightness.

  • @360xboxxx - I just saw this comment and I couldn't stop laughing.

  • Hey man i need help, i have elastic 180s, and when ever i wrap my hands, its still feels like my wrist has no support, and when i wrap tight enough for my wrists to be supported, my fingers turn purple. Do you have any tips?

  • @michael55443332211 - Instead of wrapping around just your wrist, try wrapping the wraps up your forearm more than I show in the video and see if that helps. I recently had problems with my wrist and that helped me.

  • @trosanelli thanks man ill try it

  • Helper me alot(:

  • is it right my blood is pressured when i finish my wraps

  • @sergeant07 When you're done wrapping, squeeze one of your fingertips firmly for a few seconds, then let go. It should be white when you first let go and then come back to pink in a couple seconds. If it doesn't, your wraps are too tight.

If your skin's dark, read "pale" and "normal" where I said "white" and "pink". ;)

  • @jasonpfahy - Thanks for the great comment. I always go by feel but I'll try it next time.

  • where did you buy the wraps?

  • @lmsoccerdude127 - I get most of my Martial Arts Supplies from Century Martial Arts only because I own a Martial Arts School and get wholesale discounts plus it's easy for me to order because I get supplies from them every month. I am sure that other companies have better quality wraps though for slightly increased prices.

  • @trosanelli thanks! its just that I was looking for mexican wraps (180 inch wraps) that were either natural or white colored.

  • Super vid mate

  • Thanks...clear, clean and slow enough fore to follow while wrapping my hands.

  • at the risk of sounding like a retard doesnt this just cooshin the blow when you punch your opponent. wont it hurt your oponent more without the wraping. i know this is to protect your hand but wouldnt it be worth it to end the fight quicker with a few harder punches without the wrapping than letting the fight go on longer where you take in the risk of more injury

  • @ssfourvegeta - Wraps are for training purpose, not self defense. For self-defense purposes with bare hands, I would opt for palm heel strikes and knees. Most people will break their hand if punching bare knuckle to the head.

  • @ssfourvegeta NOOOO. The difference in damage isnt that much, and "harder" punches will come from more working out, good technique, and training. Also, ending the fight quicker means that you're landing every punch you throw. None of these things are really related to any organized fighting sport. The purpose of wraps is to further protect your fists and wrists from being damaged in a boxing/ muay thai/ kickboxing/etc... match, not for street fighting.

  • @Kobebryant921 - Excellent point!

  • @Kobebryant921 Yes, although even in street fighting would be useful to at least tape the wrists to make them stiffer so you don't break them. If you look at bare knuckle matches, the fighters always do that. However, street fights usually come unexpected, so one cannot walk around all the time with tape on the wrists LOL.

  • @ssfourvegeta - For self-defense purposes, I would recommend that most people use a palm heel strike. It's easy to miss in the heat of the moment and hit the attacker in the skull therefore breaking the knuckles or small bones in the top of your hand. I've seen it happen many times before.

  • @ssfourvegeta The purpose of wraps is to keep all those little bones in your hands and wrists together to protect them from braking. Some people like to put extra padding on the knuckles for extra protection, however I am not a fan of that. Anyway, if you wrap your hands properly and tight it will actually make your hands stronger and harder.

  • @ssfourvegeta

it would hurt them alot more without the wrap (knuckles).

BUT we have all had that once in a blue moon injury in our hands. (your wrist and hand just dont stay firm and your hand bends....ouch)

probably just to make sure you stay fighting fit no matter what. i hate wraps but....better to be safe than sorry eh?

  • I'm a boxer and this is all wrong

  • @tiocococo ummm no you arent... cause if you were, like i am, you would know that there is more than one way to wrap your hands,... go be an arrogant lying douche elsewhere

  • @tiocococo This is one of the best ways to wrap the hands.

  • i mixed ur way with a bit of my old way of wraps and it is just perfect

  • Everyone has there own unique way of wrapping. Different styles for different lengths for different types of fighting. This is the cleanest way I have found for the 180's thank you for the upload

  • @corymac011 - This is such a terrific point. I constantly tell my students that they need to wrap according to their hands and needs. Some need to wrap that knuckles more while other want more protection of the wrists and thumbs. I would take any video on wrapping as a guideline not a rule.

  • @trosanelli Excellent point.

  • Very good man (can you show a video for the right hand now? LOL!) Cheers though, got my wraps today...

  • @jace007 - Haha! This video took more takes then any other video. You can see my fingers changing colors because I held them in that position for 45 minutes. I don't know if I have the discipline to film the other side. LOL!

  • @jace007 This comment of yours made me laugh. Haha.

  • tk u soooooo much ! GREAT help my friend :) thumbs up !

  • My wraps are 350"!

  • @hawkman350

you could wrap your whole damn arm too lol

  • i want my wrap to climb up my fore arm anybody know how long it needs to be for that??

  • @bboymad23 get a 180 inch mexican style wrap.

  • @bboymad23 Oh and this guy has somewhat the right hand wrapping idea but not completely your wraps are suppose to go up your arm a bit not like here were it stopped right at the wrist.

  • umm my wrap runs out like half way through the video, and it says that it is 180' long...

  • @Singerazboi100 your hands are probably alot larger than his?

  • @Singerazboi100 make sure it doesn't say 108" they come in 180" and 108"

  • Thanks for the pointers, it has helped me out

  • ok thank you very much now i got it, im going to use this method

  • My trainer just taught me this and it Is my favorite way to wrap my hands

  • and that first finger bind is gonna drop straight off the thumb...
