Alter bridge and creed arent the same bands with different singers, if you say thqt then you arent a true fan of either of them. AB is simply better in every way, creed used to be my favorite band, thanks to my own prison, but They used like 25 percent of their talent. AB they use 90%

I personally think that Myles' lyrics are beautiful. They speak a lot to me, and sometimes the same song can give me a different clue depending on my emotional state and/or the different part of the song itself.
Mark is a great musician, a good singer and a good lyricist, and it upsets me that he have been put into shadow during Creed years 'cause of Stapp's huge ego.
I never cared much for Creed. Not saying Stapp is a bad singer, but the tone of his voice really bothers me...Kennedy on the other hand, has a very smooth sound which is easy on the ears. Flip, Brian and Mark are amazing, as well. AB4Life<3

Both bands are good but i prefer Stapp over Kennedy. Miles voice is just to damn whiney sounding for me and it get's on my nerves after a few songs. He reminds me of the guy that fronted Steelheart. I know it's what you like to hear and i don't expect everyone to agree with me and that's ok. It's just that i perfer a Rock frontman that has a raspy, deeper voice such as Stapp, Sully Erna and Lane Staley just to name a few. Again i think both bands are good but i'll take Creed over AB any day.
Personally I really liked Creed, and now I love Alter Bridge.. However it turns out - if Creed is back together as we've heard - we can only hope that Myles Kennedy starts his own thing so we can still rock out with him. (I do prefer his voice to Stapp's, but they're both very good.)

Myles Kennedy not only sings ballads, but soul, jazz, blues, punk and freaking kick ass rock. He was asked to audition for Led Zep but also Velvet Revolver. You don't get in the front door with these guys unless you are capable singer. His range is from Eddie Vedder style lows to Buckley and Cornell style highs. He also plays a very respectable blues, jazz and classical style accoustic guitar,as well as shred, tap rock. Brittney Spears, Jonas Brothers, and Mylie Cyrus sell lots of Cds.

So there is no freakin "which band is better" other than Creed vs Alter Bridge, and seeing as scott stapp have the better voice (imo) and can actually sing when the tempo goes up (really, myles really can't sing unless it's slow music, it just sounds horrible when he tries to sing fast) Creed > Alter Bridge, therefore the reunion will show everyone how amazing they can be togheter as Creed.

They're making a new album! So, I'd say things are pretty good dude. They're making the album, touring and then the other members are going back to work on Alter Bridge. Doesn't mean they will break up again, but they'll just be doing something else for a while after this. Kind of like what Tool and A Perfect Circle do.
I honestly believe that Stapp is havin' money troubles and pretty much begged the AB boys to make an album. I mean why is it only an american tour. They could easily do the world and make massive bucks.

Myles is what the band needed, someone who not only brings his vocal abilities, but his guitar abilities and his song writing abilities. You can listen to every song on the two Alter bridge albums and not get bored, they are great, one after another.

I grew up listening to Creed. But I;m sorry Scott Stapp let the fame get to his head and ruined the band that was once the biggest group in the world. And Kennedy is awesome, and he also lets Tremonti shine. Stapp's eigo didn't. Alter Bridge is just a better band than Creed.
Both guys are great singers. COMPLETELY DIFFERENT STYLES AND RANGE! When you are the front of a band you will sell more solo records and you better. Not to mention, I have all the respect in the world for AB for never riding the coattails of Creed and playing old songs. Never once has AB played a Creed song. How many ridiculous fans did they alienate right there? millions! But you know what, that takes balls and says that you are ok with leaving that chapter of your life and starting a new one.
Most mainstream rock singers today are tenors, not baritones. Baritones do not have the range of tenors, but that doesn't mean they don't have good voices. Stapp is a baritone, so his range is not as wide as Kennedy. However, his voice has more projection and more power, and like I said before, he has much better stage presence. I saw one video of Kennedy singing live, and he had his back turned towards the audience for some of a song. He wasn't connecting or driving them.

Scott Stapp is a better singer than Myles Kennedy and he does have much better stage presence. Ideally, Stapp and the former Creed musicians should be together. When one listens to Stapp's solo work, he or she can tell that the Creed musicians are absent. When one listens to Alter Bridge, he or she can tell that the voice is missing. Kennedy is still a good singer, just not Stapp.
Be that as it may, I enjoy listening to Alter Bridge more than Stapp, but ultimately, I wish Creed was still alive.

Alter Bridge is a great band and they make great music. Creed was great for their time, but that's the past. I think if Creed were still together, the music would be so boring by this point in time. Alter Bridge is one of the most underrated bands out there. you should see them live to truly understand.

Both bands are good but i prefer Stapp over Kennedy. Miles voice is just to damn whiney sounding for me and it get's on my nerves after a few songs. He reminds me of the guy that fronted Steelheart. I know it's what you like to hear and i don't expect everyone to agree with me and that's ok. It's just that i perfer a Rock frontman that has a raspy, deeper voice such as Stapp, Sully Erna and Lane Staley just to name a few. Again i think both bands are good but i'll take Creed over AB any day.

Personally I really liked Creed, and now I love Alter Bridge.. However it turns out - if Creed is back together as we've heard - we can only hope that Myles Kennedy starts his own thing so we can still rock out with him. (I do prefer his voice to Stapp's, but they're both very good.)

Sad thing is, Tremonti, Phillips, and Marshall said they would never reunite with Stapp, ever again, and now it's been confirmed that Creed have got together again. Well, guess they're back for a reason, and whoever says Stapp sucks, doesn't know much about music, I'd like to see them sing the way he does. Myles Kennedy not only sings ballads, but soul, jazz, blues, punk and freaking kick ass rock. He was asked to audition for Led Zep but also Velvet Revolver. You don't get in the front door with these guys unless you are capable singer. His range is from Eddie Vedder style lows to Buckley and Cornell style highs. He also plays a very respectable blues, jazz and classical style accoustic guitar,as well as shred, tap rock. Brittney Spears, Jonas Brothers, and Mylie Cyrus sell lots of Cds.

No. Scott stapp's album The Great Divide is NOT A BAND, It's his solo album.
So there is no freakin "which band is better" other than Creed vs Alter Bridge, and seeing as scott stapp have the better voice (imo) and can actually sing when the tempo goes up (really, myles really can't sing unless it's slow music, it just sounds horrible when he tries to sing fast) Creed > Alter Bridge, therefore the reunion will show everyone how amazing they can be togheter as Creed.

i hate scot stap, his pipes are week compared to myles. if people actually listened to alter bridge they would notice how much better of a band they are then creed is. Its so dynamically different its not even funny, like comparing foo fighters to nirvana. But really, people need to listen and notice that scott sounds like a dieing moose having but sex with a grizzly when he sings, but apparently people like that shit so its ok i guess.

Creed are back but only till October 2008, its been said on the alter bridge offical website that and i quote - "We have a live DVD coming out this summer and then in 2010 we will be back with a vengeance with a new album and a world tour."
So Creed is for the money and they are making an album and going on tour but it will be done with by october and Alter bridge already have half of thier new album recorded, So us Alter Bridge fans only have to put up with creed ill October

How can you say that Myles Kennedy can't sing live? The dude hits every single note live that he does on the recordings. Myles Kennedy walks circles around scott stapp. What's scary is that he does it while also being a pretty damn good guitarist as well. He's not Mark Tremonti but atleast he contributes more than just an ego unlike Stapp. Creed's first album was great but there's only so much you can do with an eddie vetter wannabe as your lead singer

They're making a new album! So, I'd say things are pretty good dude. They're making the album, touring and then the other members are going back to work on Alter Bridge. Doesn't mean they will break up again, but they'll just be doing something else for a while after this. Kind of like what Tool and A Perfect Circle do.

I don't think that the other members would get back with Stapp if he just needed money. They've been saying for years that Creed is dead for good and that they have not even the SLIGHTEST interest of getting back together. So I think that IT DID happen ANYWAY is for a genuine reason. I don't think any of them have money issues, especially Stapp, since his solo album sold more (i think) than Alter Bridges' first AND he was recording his second studio album, but called it off for Creed!

Myles is what the band needed, someone who not only brings his vocal abilities, but his guitar abilities and his song writing abilities. You can listen to every song on the two Alter bridge albums and not get bored, they are great, one after another.

I love the cd version of rise today and watch over you, but they're f*cking terrible live, at least the ones I saw. I dont really see any ability that Myles Kennedy has when he's on stage.

I grew up listening to Creed. But I;m sorry Scott Stapp let the fame get to his head and ruined the band that was once the biggest group in the world. And Kennedy is awesome, and he also lets Tremonti shine. Stapp's eigo didn't. Alter Bridge is just a better band than Creed.

Both guys are great singers. COMPLETELY DIFFERENT STYLES AND RANGE! When you are the front of a band you will sell more solo records and you better. Not to mention, I have all the respect in the world for AB for never riding the coattails of Creed and playing old songs. Never once has AB played a Creed song. How many ridiculous fans did they alienate right there? millions! But you know what, that takes balls and says that you are ok with leaving that chapter of your life and starting a new one.

Most mainstream rock singers today are tenors, not baritones. Baritones do not have the range of tenors, but that doesn't mean they don't have good voices. Stapp is a baritone, so his range is not as wide as Kennedy. However, his voice has more projection and more power, and like I said before, he has much better stage presence. I saw one video of Kennedy singing live, and he had his back turned towards the audience for some of a song. He wasn't connecting or driving them.

Scott Stapp is a better singer than Myles Kennedy and he does have much better stage presence. Ideally, Stapp and the former Creed musicians should be together. When one listens to Stapp's solo work, he or she can tell that the Creed musicians are absent. When one listens to Alter Bridge, he or she can tell that the voice is missing. Kennedy is still a good singer, just not Stapp.
Be that as it may, I enjoy listening to Alter Bridge more than Stapp, but ultimately, I wish Creed was still alive.

You know what? You can't even compare the two bands even if Alter Bridge has 3 out of the 4 members of Creed. Alter Bridge is way more advanced in songwriting, arrangements, and ability. Look at Scott Phillips for instance, his drumming on all the Creed albums are a joke. His work in Alter Bridge is non-repetative, and fresh. It's like they are rejuvinated. Nice job, Bridge!

Alter bridge is the real deal. Look where Blackbird landed on the album chart! Scott was good but they are much better with Miles on vocals. Creed was my all time favorite band but Alter bridge is now. AB Rocks!!

Alter Bridge is a great band and they make great music. Creed was great for their time, but that's the past. I think if Creed were still together, the music would be so boring by this point in time. The company wanted Creed cause it's a money maker,both groups are good but Alter Bridge is not selling like Scott or Creeds music. Aterbridge is a Gold Record Scott has a double platinum. You don't have to play music to know which one made the record company more money.
Again both are making good music so why complain.
