Ok, I did use Chroma Key to do this, but I still refer to it as a mask, because it is a process of masking out a background to isolate a subject.

there is a big, big difference.

They are used for different things. Chroma keyer is used with background colors, while masking is used to clearly define the boundaries of something, and it takes much longer, which makes it more..."exotic".
