Iran is well known for its unspeakable atrocities against women and gay people. One thing however, the Americans caused the regime to be established in the first place by supporting the Sjah and his reign of oppression and self-enrichment.
Another one of those problems caused by interference in the internal affairs of a nation.
Awesome video! you bashed both sides! Every video I see is just propaganda fueling one side and hating the other.... but you really showed the truth! you showed the reality of the country! you should make more!
I really enjoyed the video! I went to Iran this year and I absolutely loved it! Its amazing that I actually went to the exact same places as you did (even that cafe in Esfahan) I live in Europe and I wish more people here would know how Iran truly is... Thanks for making and posting this video!
Really glad ya enjoyed the video, Gabriella. Iran is a terribly fascinating place, innit? Maybe the word will get out and people will go see for themselves what it's all about.
Please do some more videos on iran YOU ARE Amazing one of the only people who do this with good info and a clear voice and bonus Clear video amazing Job!!!
I am from Iran myself, and I think that Ahmedinijad is a danger to our country. Nothing against Iran but the situation is just getting dangerous, these extremists are destroying the world. Give women the rights. Why cant we be like european countries. We all should fight terrorism, I agree and at the moment iran is getting dangerous for other countries. I live in the USA and I love it hear. Get educated and talk again.
Thanks a lot, PersianYasi - I love the forbidden and unfortunately Iran has that connotation about it. I'd love to go back again sometime. Fascinating place and really awesome people.
iran is not the axis of evil!! bush just brainwashed everyone to think that so he can just steal our oil and have a reason to blow us up! also, we did not fight ONLY 300 greeks. we fought 300 spartans, along with thousands of other greeks from other cities!!! when will america be able to get history correct???
Neither is Germany, but in WWII it was, just like Iran is now and has been under its leadership and human rights abusive culture. No one here has been brainwashed except you, who obviously has an agenda by supporting a totalitarian fundamentalist dictatorship.
Most Iran's problems can be associated with western intervention.
US overthrew Iran's democracy, and &unrest afterwards led to Islamic revolution.
Iran only ever attacked Iraq, & only reason they lost is cuz US supplied material for chemical, biological, and radiological wepon to Saddam to use on Iran.
Still, Iranians very progressive in technology & society. Best bet for west & Israeli warmongers is to learn from history and mind their own business. Wait for open minded new generation to lead.
Besides, IAEA said inspectors found Iran not developing nuclear wepons, only advancing nuclear technology so they can use more renewable energy to sell more of their oil for economic boost.
Israeli zionists will not end their smear campaign against Iran which is a very forward thinking and tolerant country for all religions and people. Ahmadinejad doesn't even have military control, and he said zionist regime needs to die (which it does), not israelis.
The 2007 Transparency International Corruption Perceptions Index out of 179 countries counted:(1 being least corrupt, 179 being most corrupt)
USA-- 20/179
Israel-- 30/179
Iran -- 139/179
According to the IMF more than a 150,000 of the best young minds in Iran are leaving every year
According to 'Reporters Without Borders' Iran continues to be the largest prison for the press in the Middle East, and in 2007 Iran ranks as number 166 out of 169 total countries
hey Jimiydoorshamelech, thanks for those numbers. I have to question why the U.S. scores so low in corruption. Perhaps once the banking/politician corruption which created the entire global economic collapse will change the U.S.'s score :)
I agree about the held hostage part. This is true of most working class people in the world in my opinion. I had a Persian friend in Tehran who told me stories about how his friends were arrested in protests and never seen from again.
I thought I would correct you on something. the apartment complex in Ekbatan Tehran don't read "we love our king" from above...I used to live there and that's actually a myth

I just wish you would have had the chance to go to some of our under ground Parties
& your 110% right unlike all the Arabs states around us majority of Iranians R liberal unlike the government
But the only reason this government will stay in power is because of Iran's progress in D past 30 years
we went from a country that could't build anything to a country that has D capability to send Satellites in to space
& our Gov. will have no choice but to get more liberal year after year
Thank U
