As for the promise of democracy and human rights, your dreadful record on both, gives you no moral right to lecture others...
Even the State-controlled Saudi media was critical of President Bush. Because this is a private meeting. Its purpose is not to listen to your whining but to discuss party matters. The Republicans, just like the Democrats have a right to gather in peace and not be harassed which was the intent of these "bloggers".

"Mr.Gorbachev..Open this Gate!" "MR.GORBACHEV..TEAR DOWN THIS WALL!" President Ronald Reagan at the Berlin Wall,1988. The Wall fell a few months later.
REMEMBER WHAT FREEDOM AND 'REAL REPUBLICANS' USE TO SOUND LIKE?
The goon squad. I try to be a peaceful and respectful person, but if that dude had grabbed my neck like that, I think I would have gone all Irish on him.
Rpublicans/Democrats = Same Crap/Different Piles. The two party system in this country is an illusion. Another tool used to keep the masses distracted and divided. While we bicker back and forth over "important issues", the crooked politicians, Corporate pigs and mainstream media laugh all the way to their offshore bank accounts.
Wise up folks. We're all in this together. And it aint lookin' good.
The Republicans remind me of the old Soviet regime..old,crusty,going nowhere fast, and resorting to thuggery/violence.How ironic is it that the party of Ronald Reagan that defeated Soviet totalitarianism("Mr.Gorbachev,TEAR DOWN THIS WALL!") is becoming the very thing that they hated and fought against? The KGB acted the same way during the height and decline of the Soviet Union whenever the 'politburo' or party chairman was about to be confronted by 'unapproved' persons. FOX NEWS = PRAVDA!
lol! Dude was a troll not a serious journalists. Trolls under the guise of journalism seeking to cause trouble do not have to be tolerated. Freedom goes both ways. Troll got called out, his agenda was thwarted and now he is a bitter man-whiner baby.
So are the Democrats accepting trolls that was people's time? Proper press credentials is not a new concept and neither is your blatant manipulation.
There is a time and place for "public dissent". The GOP or Democratic Natl. Conventions are not the proper forum. Public discourse has turned into scenes of vulgarity and hostility. Is respectfulness, civility and decorum too much to ask for?
They're afraid because they can't control the message. In other words, they're afraid of democracy. They're afraid of the light of day. And, that should be enough of a reason right there for any conscious thinking person to ask why anyone would vote for those people.
These are the people that citizens are going to ELECT. If you cannot ask them questions REAL questions--not shill questions that were sent ahead of time by the politicians themselves.
LOL, AnonOutreach you're Canadian! You have enough to concern yourself with your Canadian Human Rights Commission and we have enough Liberals the way it is.
The want to keep a lot out of the media. A part of that media corporates with them, and don't tell you things about this election by themselves. Not mentioning Ron Paul for instance. I hear you say he is a nut. But they mention McCain. And isn't he even a bigger moron than some say RP is. RP really scares the shit out of some people. Because he really knows what is wrong with America. Do the other ones know? Never heard one of them name one. They can only talk a lot. But tell nothing.
its obvious the GOP is trying to hide the fact that there's a huge split in the party...much opposition to McCain. They are deliberately trying to keep it out of the media.
Yes, they may be authorized to make these reporters leave, but it's amazing that the GOP Party wants so much done in priviacy (like Bush & Cheney do).
Also TRY TO KEEP UP WITH HOW THEY'RE TRYING TO ROB RON PAUL OF DELEGATES!
In fairness, these are private meetings and they do have a right to let in only those they choose...however, this just makes them look like they're up to something they want to hide.
Also, "Sergeant-At-Arms"??? haha...that guy looks like his liver is about to fall out.
To the dude in the video: They make tiny cameras now that you could sneak in. If you had an MP3 recorder you could have at least recorded the event instead.
They should fear the new media. Corporate media only tells people what they want to hear to boost rating. New media isn't about money, no profit=real journalism.
Check out the Nevada Republican Convention and you'll begin to see why the some in the GOP don't want to be don't want to be taped. They break their own rules, can't handle confrontations, or allow for debate.
It's sad how far they have fallen and how pathetic their tactics are. They aren't saving the country, their party, or themselves.
i'm not sure they've even cleared that bar. democrats totally let in the republicans; it's idiotic that these jokers want to turn their lame political party into an old boys club anyway.
You know how the Republicans like to defend warrant-less wiretaps and other violations of your civil liberties by saying.... "If you're not doing anything wrong then you've got nothing to be afraid of."
I think we should apply the same logic here. What are you doing wrong Republicans? What is it you're so afraid the rest of the world is going to see or hear at your conventions?
Listen, I don't like Republicans one bit--save Ron Paul--but, in their defense, these are private "meetings" and therefore the Republicans can do whatever they want. If they want to kick people out, they can do so. I think it's stupid they do so, but it's their thing. Let'em be pricks.
Yes, but someone has to show that they're pricks. Otherwise we wouldn't know of their being pricks, would we..? (I mean, who would have thought, huh?)
That's true; the political parties are private entities, but they just happen to connected at the hip to our public democratic process. So they *can* kick out journalists and bloggers, but they shouldn't. And in fact, the Democratic party in MN is open to journalists and bloggers of all political stripes.
In Minnesota both the Republican and Democratic parties are partially funded by tax dollars. There's a check off program on taxes like the federal return has and if you donate $50 to a party the state will refund all of it to you. So shouldn't we see how our tax dollars are being spent?
I was a red blooded Republican, a tobbacco grower in Upper Marlborough, MD. Military service is part of our family's history going back to the Civil War. You can't get much more Republican than that.
The events of 9-11 and what has happened to our nation since have caused me to take a very hard look at the Republican party and realize that it has been hijacked by some of the most dangerous people ever to hold political power. These people are Fascists.
That's cuz Republicans are the modern day version of the Nazi party of the 30's and 40's in Germany. Probably the same families, like the Bush family. Bankrolling war and terrorism is the family business.
well losturmarbles, it's a hell of a lot more to be proud of than being a right wing nut republican.
america has finally wised up to a once great party that has been hikjacked by the religious right who's mantra is "tow our line, exactly as we see fit, or go to hell" cause we've "god on our side". what pure bullshit & lies.

They should fear the new media. Corporate media only tells people what they want to hear to boost rating. New media isn't about money, no profit=real journalism.

Stick to real news instead of just showing your perspective.

Oh that silly 1st amendment. Try moving to China. I hear their citizens don't have any rights.

"Get your hand off me and I'll leave." - This same basic discussion kept my last relationship going four months longer than it should have continued.

Listen, I don't like Republicans one bit--save Ron Paul--but, in their defense, these are private "meetings" and therefore the Republicans can do whatever they want. If they want to kick people out, they can do so. I think it's stupid they do so, but it's their thing. Let'em be pricks.
catobear1704 3 years ago 2
Yes, but someone has to show that they're pricks. Otherwise we wouldn't know of their being pricks, would we..? (I mean, who would have thought, huh?)
flug747 3 years ago 6
That's true; the political parties are private entities, but they just happen to connected at the hip to our public democratic process. So they *can* kick out journalists and bloggers, but they shouldn't. And in fact, the Democratic party in MN is open to journalists and bloggers of all political stripes.
Chuckumentary 3 years ago 3

I use to be a Republican. All their hate, deception, lies and hypocracy made it where I had to leave the GOP. Now I'm a Democrat, and proud of it.

well losturmarbles, it's a hell of a lot more to be proud of than being a right wing nut republican.
america has finally wised up to a once great party that has been hikjacked by the religious right who's mantra is "tow our line, exactly as we see fit, or go to hell" cause we've "god on our side". what pure bullshit & lies.
why would anyone except backward, ignorant southern idiots fall for this crap, why?
look what happened when most americans fell for bush's republican bullshit!
