I have seen the BEAST --- this Anti-Christ in three dreams that God has given to me. He was standing in the Temple in Jerusalem w/ his right hand upon the Throne Chair & he was wearing a Dark Green suit -w/ gold & green necktie. He was 40-45 years old & had well-trimmed beard & mustache- & overweight by 50 lbs. the Chair had Expensive Jewels embedded into it & 6 wooden-ornamental Spirals rising to the top. Have any of you read the whole book of Acts? The great commision as you cal it (not a biblical term) had to have ended in Acts 15 where the 12 agreed to go to the circumcision (Israel) and Paul to the uncurcumcision (the gentile nations) Paul did not preach water baptism 1Co 1:17 For Christ sent me not to baptize, but to preach the gospel: not with wisdom of words, lest the cross of Christ should be made of none effect. YES!!!! There are Christians out there they understand their Bible!!!!!!!! THANK GOD!!!! I studied Revelation through textual criticism, 1st century history, Jewish mysticism, and in light of the Old Testament and all the arrows pointed in this exact same direction. This is not speculation, this is exactly what the Book of Revelation is all about.

To clear the air about the rapture one must understand the tribulation. It is the Wrath of God...not satan pitching a hissy fit. While God uses satan to affect His plan it is still His and God said that believers are not appointed to His wrath. Revelation shows the Church in heaven before God showers His wrath on earth. Revelation 3:10 is plain in Jesus saying that He will keep believers from the "hour of temptation that will come on all the earth". The Rapture is biblically based.

jcrrunner, i am curious about something you say in this video, you mention that "when the beast enters the ring, it's a man" (4;50-4;52) is this a biblical view or are you trying to represent another view here? if it is biblical can you show me where the bible says the beast is a man?

The difference in views here is that dispensationalism truly teaches that it is the seed (CHRIST) who wins. The church's victory is through Christ (Sola Christos)

Not at all. The general commision tells us to make disciples of all nations.

A disciple to my knowledge always refers to an individual in scripture, not an entire nation. That said, the idea is not to make all the countries of the world disciples of Christ but that disciples (individuals) will come from every country in the world.

I think the church will accomplish that and I also believe that that will also be accomplished during the great harvest period in the tribulation as well.

Some people believe that numbers have meaning. 666 is the number given to the beast and indicates finality. 777 has something to do with completion, and 888 is associated with new beginnings. Personally I try to avoid a superstitious approach to numbers, but the fact that numbers in the bible can be linked to certain ideas is undeniable 5 being associated with grace/mercy. Im not an expert in it but i am aware of it. if you google "gematria bible christian" you might get some more info.

My problem with this view is that in order to believe it, you have to allegorize very specific and repeated prophesies in the Ot and Nt to extremes. Like, the Bible promises that Jesus will sit on the throne of David. If you allegorize that you're fine with the concept of Him sitting on the throne of your heart. And thats true. But, if you believe in a literal interpretation, the precision of the Word. Then you believe as I do, it is yet to happen. We will wait and see. Live for Jesus in peace

That is Mat 24:40. It says nothing about "the rapture". The word "rapture" is not in scripture, it is made up to describe a man made dogma based on a few verses throughout scripture taken out of context.

Jesus did talk about the rapture: Rev. 3:10 "Because thou have kept the word of My patience, I also will keep thee from the hour of temptation which shall come upon all the world to try them that dwell upon the earth."

I'm a dispy but I have to agree with my preterists friends here. Matthew passage is NOT referring to the rapture. If you check the parallel passage in Luke, they asked Jesus "Where". He responds by saying "where the eagles gather...".

This appears to be place of judgement. The ones taken are the unrighteous to a place of judgement.

The word rapture is used for the expression "caught up" in 1 thes 4:17. The word itself is not in the bible but then again, neither is the word "trinity".

If you add up the number for the name of Jesus in Greek supposedly you get 888.

Iesous = I (10) + e (8) + s (200) + o (70) + u (400) + s (200) = 888

Coptic was a language spoken in Egypt. All the earliest NT manuscripts and fragments are in Greek beginning with the oldest (c. 115 AD the Rylands Fragment). You don't see Coptic until after 400 AD. I think the first Coptic translations may have been in the second century when Greek started to be replaced by Latin and regional languages.
