  • Ustad Sultan Khan together with a sarangi is a great gift to mankind, he plays absolutely beautifully and understands the science of space in music that so many musicians of all genres dont ! - Ustad Zakir Hussain Khan has the technique available in his hands and coupled with true genuine musicality he is phenonamal - they are a match made in Heaven - Live Concerts like this are unbeatable for listening to Indian classical music as the Charisma of the artists is evident to one's eyes and ears.

  • dear god

  • This shud hv been Part 1 wise guy. But bless u for uploading this. Certainly 1 of his most soulful performance. He seems to be high in spirits. If this was 500 years ago, today there wud hv been statues of h as a devta. And he is nevertheless. Talk abt full spirit n ripe in ur art. Everyone who watches is blessed with his excitement n spirit. Gratitude to you Khan Saab. Wah! Kia baat....

  • I think its Raag Charukeshi

  • Well I think this is one of the rare footage on youtube where Ustad Zakir Hussain is playing in the deep soul of tabla, without the usual entertaining patterns he uses in front of non so knowledgeable audiences. As a westerner it would be very pleasing to hear him in a private concert, free from all sorts of gimmicks implied by the stage and the business of entertainment.

  • when u listen to guys like Zakir Hussain Sahib; only then u know whats meant by multiple orgasamz !!!!!!!

  • @avninder1000 buy a cd of his n u can hav M . O. ,WHENEVER u can ( may only cost u around 30---40 bucks , thats pretty affordable--- hav fun !0

  • In this context, the harmonium should be quiet.

  • I extract the sound from these videos to mp3 easy and free - google 'mp4ify'

  • Wah Keya Batt Hai ......Wah!! :D

  • u all r very wise people. God blees ya.

  • but it skips to a qaida

  • wah wah

    thats why his the best

    : )

  • this is amad and peshkar

  • this should be part 1 because its peshkar

  • I was thinking that too!

  • @ampkg kind sir, what does peshkar mean? is it similar to tukda / chakradhar?

  • @pratopathak hi no its the slow composition that starts off the tabla solo (like zakirji is doing). It usually lasts up to 10 or 12 minutes. It goes in different speeds later towards the end. This video skips the peshkar at 4:47..

  • @ampkg many thanks for the reply!

  • @ampkg would it be possible for you to detail the bols of the peshkar pls? many many thanks!

  • I thought the harmonium was too much...I liked it better with the sarangi only.

  • Agreed! The harmonium soaks in the emotion and atmosphere, the sarangi on its own would've sounded much better

  • who cares... its a beautiful nagma.
