  • Bruce lee beat Chuck Norris too

  • Street Fighter x Tekken should have this as Ryu and Ken's theme song

  • So much SSFIV hate, I thought this was a SFIII song...?

  • Funny because Alpha 3 is even LESS balanced than SF4, Hello V-Ism how are you today?

  • @ZioIsPwnzor This is why I never listen to purist faggots like those ones below

  • It's sad, really.

It's like you have Street Fighter II (which started the whole damn thing)

Street Fighter Alpha (which was such an amazing game, with the story mode and animations)

Street FIghter III (the best game from capcom imo)

Then you have Street Fighter 4. Ergh...(who cares about an evil main character archtype and a super sayian version of akuma? >:/)

WHo does Capcom cater to nowadays? Daigo?

  • @VexxxMaster69 street fighter ex?

  • @mrDollare oops, im so srry

  • @VexxxMaster69

You know, it's faggots like you that really make my day.

You didn't even give any concrete reasons as to why any of those games can be considered 'good' or 'bad'. Try learning to like all the games, and then come back with an opinion that won't get you laughed off of SRK.

  • @omgcandy16Kimicari0 *yawn* you done venting?

maybe you should the term "casual gamer" and come back to me when you get the chance, you blatant homophobe.

  • @VexxxMaster69

You're dodging the question. I'm calling you out because you gave absolutely no reason why any of those games are 'better' than the others.

    Your move, 'casual gamer'.

  • @omgcandy16Kimicari0 Ha--what question? You didn't ask one. Anyways, why are you bothering me?

  • @VexxxMaster69

Because you aren't even giving remote reasons as to why Street Fighter 3 is the best and Street Fighter 4 is the worst.

You can't just say things like that without having any sort of evidence to back up the claim.

  • @omgcandy16Kimicari0 okay fine, but dont go around calling people faggots. its not cool.

  • @VexxxMaster69

Okay fine, but don't go around making statements you can't back up, it makes you look very stupid.

  • @omgcandy16Kimicari0 understood.

  • @omgcandy16Kimicari0 understood.

  • Why is Ken sharing a stage with Ryu in Japan? So did he move to Japan after Street Fighter II?

  • @Blueknightex

Street Fighter 3 comes after Street Fighter 4.

  • man ryu and mostly a bunch of anti heroes i grew up enjoying (vegeta, bass, spidey, etc.) are my fictional heroes i look up to even as a grown man. when i hear this i want to improve myself and push myself pass my limits (which i why im taking karate and judo) like ryu in hopes of finding/creating a friendly rivalry. guess i better start walking.

  • Ryu = Mas Oyama (arguably the best karate fighter in japan and korea)

Ken = Joe Lewis (arguably the greatest american martial artist of all time also hes among the 1 of 5 men to defeat the legendary Chuck Norris)

  • @jowrab ...yes. That's a good thing. That means the characters are balanced because the only thing that affects the end result of the match is the skill of the users. That is how a fighting game SHOULD BE

  • @jowrab "In tournament play the 2nd-to-bottom tier Hugo can beat top-tiers thanks to the parry."

Uh, that's kind of a good thing. If a character seemingly low tier stands a chance against top tier people that means the game has good balance.

  • people.....capcom is NOT,i repeat, NOt gonna go back to your precious 3rd strike cps2 or cps3 style. That was years ago. some of ya'll gotta understand, we are livin in a new generation with new things. We can't be stuck in the past. no matter how much you beg capcom, there ain't gonna be a new street fighter 3, no new final figh, no new game thats cps2 or 3, its gonna be 3d like the new bionic commando. Its just the truth

  • @Martialart07 Dude you're right about that new direction, but we want that new direction to also be a GOOD direction.

  • @Martialart07 They Should go back to the Whole Sf3 series.Sf3 as a Whole Is Faster than all the Sf4`s Gameplay wise and Has Very Good Music and Nice Stages.

  • @Tyrik73 alright thinkin about it more, they COULD! but at the sametime they wont.alot of this generation isn't really turned on to cps3 graphics of our time(stfu i do not care about your little bro/sister liking 3 more). Capcom, as i see them now, don't give two shits about fans. and alot of you still don't seem to get that we are living in a different age.....yaknow what, i quit. ya'll are......sigh...

  • @Martialart07 I don`t have a Brother or a Sister.

  • @Tyrik73 -_-....thank you for sharing that but i wasn't just talking to you i meant everybody.

  • @Martialart07 Capcom is Making Sf3 3rd Strike Online for Psn and Xboxlive though right now.

  • @Tyrik73 sigh......and you completely missed what i was sayin...yaknow what? forget it, just ignore me on here people..good lord....some of ya'll

  • nostalgia whores up in here:/

  • This is one of my favorite themes in the game.

  • SF4 is definitely about to be the most underappreciated fighting game of all time, I cant believe it got the respect it deserves, its a damn shame that nobody liked 4, all that capcom wanted to do was go back to the same gameplay style sf2 did, and the 3d visuals, theres nothing wrong with it, it just need to be developed from a different viewpoint, close ups kind of make the game a little slow. looks like 4 will sink to the depths of the forgotten and nobody will even look at that game anymore.

  • @Tiamat583 no sf 4 is a respected game from what i can gather

but that probably from my perspective

  • oh my goodness it sounds like Final Fight!!!! Another Great Capcom series!!!

  • Comment removed

  • why isn't this downloadable like leave alone and sharp eyes etc......?

  • How dare they give Street Fighter 4 a number when it's not even a real sequel chronologically. It should be Street Fighter 2.5. What an insult.

Probably not a popular opinion but I think 4's kinda shitty. It did almost nothing to improve the formula, it was 3D, the art style kinda sucked, the graphics weren't good, the music wasn't good, and the new characters were okay I guess. Such a disappointment. 2 and 3 are WAY better.

  • @whostolecarlosrox

    You speak truth my friend

but hey a new albiet mediocre game by Street Fighter's Capcoms standards is better than the series being dead, like it was after Third Strike right?

  • @Renegade466isback If it sucked, then why it made success?

  • @meusapi It sucks to true Street Fighter fans, it's cool to those new to the series, or those who only like fighting games if they bring back characters they liked. As it was said before, the music was not that great, the stages weren't very unique, the storyline was terrible, and it was overall just a bad game.

  • @meusapi

cause it had SF2 cast /thread

  • @meusapi most of tha retards that play it suck. They never heard of third strike!! Nor would they last 10 seconds in 3s as their fireball spams wont work!!

  • @meusapi cause we trusted that capcom would improve upon this great game (sf3) and brought it. unfortunately, sf4 sucks so much it doesn't even deserve to make sf3 a sandwich

  • @mctroll89 Well so...I see you in Third Strike Online Edition...

  • @meusapi lol no doubt! i just wish they used the music from the first two versions :(

  • @Renegade466isback Capcom Made a Mistake.Sf4 should have Been called SF alpha 4.

  • @Tyrik73

SF4 is nothing like Alpha what are you talking about?.

SF4 doesnt have Custom Combos, Counters, Cartoon Style graphics, great music and great endings/storylines. Alpha does

  • @Renegade466isback

SF4 isn't entirely what SF4 is supposed to be though. Not from a gameplay standpoint, but If anything he's right, it would've made more sense to call it Alpha 4.

  • @Renegade466isback I think just because it wasn`t sequel to Sf3 and just a prequel.

  • @Renegade466isback Hahaha lol....are you saying that Alpha is better than 4? Well I can kinda agree then haha. I really miss having the special intros and of course GOOD music. I think in terms of the storyline, Tyrik73 was saying that SF4 should really be SF Alpha 4...and I can't blame him.....

The real SF4 should be after third strike when Bison is loooooooong gone and GIll has brought us to that big red and blue island hahaha

  • @Renegade466isback As weary as I'm getting of SF2 being rehashed, I'm going to say if that's what it took to get people interested in a new Street Fighter game I'm really all for SF4.

Maybe someday we'll get an SF5, with only a select few dudes coming back from past installments, and the majority being new.

  • @frankenvonvogler Well SFxTk Is Being Made right now so I want to See Alex and Gill In it.Imagine Sf Alex Vs Tekken Alex or Gill vs Ogre?

  • @Tyrik73 I'm personally hoping for some forgotten SF1 characters returning.

    Eagle and Retsu for SFxT

  • @frankenvonvogler Retsu would be a Good Rival For Yoshimitsu.

  • @Renegade466isback Plus it has the Super meter like in the Street Fighter 3 series

  • @Renegade466isback Or a Long haired Ken (wich by the way i thinks is cooler) or a Skin Tight Spandex Chun li (of course there are mods now) and the worst they dont have The AWESOME sountrack im disapointed by capcom

  • @Renegade466isback At least it KINDA had Cartoon Style Graphics.

  • @Renegade466isback

that is definitely not the truth, its just an opinion. so please dont take it personally.

  • @Renegade466isback

Well I heard they're branging 3rd to the PSN and XBLA . but other then that capcom is no longer have logic when comes to street fighter.

  • @whostolecarlosrox oh come on 4 wasn't THAT bad. I do like 2 and 3 better though. At least 4 is better than EX. Now that was shitty.

  • @whostolecarlosrox I couldn't agree more, how could they go back and bring characters back from 2 and call it a sequel? it should have been street fighter beta or something. ss3 took street fighter to its zenith!

  • @whostolecarlosrox

It was never meant to be a sequel. It is what is called an interquel (a sequel to one part of a franchise but also a prequel to another part of a franchise). Between Super Turbo and New Generation, there was never any explanation given as to what became of Bison, Shadowloo or a number of on-going plot lines. I see SFIV as an attempt to bridge the already tenuous storyline of the Street Fighter universe. With that said.... SF III> SFIV.

  • @whostolecarlosrox

On a side note, the art direction of IV is meant to emulate the art direction of II, in that II had a very cartoony style (it didn't seem like it at the time, but in retrospect, it was meant to be cartoony). I actually think SF IV is one of the better looking games this generation. The music is forgettable though. A shame they didn't bring back Hideki Okugawa.

  • @TheNativeDialect

It was meant to look like II? Then they failed horribly cuz it looks nothing like II imo. It looks more like TF2!! Plus, II still had a very anime flavour while IV hardly does. That's a fail then if they were actively seeking II's style.

  • @whostolecarlosrox

Here are a few quotes from an interview with Daigo Ikeno, the character designer for IV and the former art director for Third Strike.

"What we're doing this time is looking to Street Fighter II for inspiration."

"All I'm doing is trying my best to maintain the design guidelines established by Akiman, the original Street Fighter character designer."

Essentially, Ikeno drew his influence from II rather than Alpha or III.

  • @TheNativeDialect

Sure doesn't show in my opinion.

  • @whostolecarlosrox Oh, they had 'anime flavor', all right...very poorly animated, sloppily Gonzo-caliber (actually, I think it WAS Gonzo that handled the cutscenes) anime flavor. I shudder to recall it.

  • @whostolecarlosrox oh shut up

  • @robbinsillinois Agreed

  • @whostolecarlosrox While I agree with the sequal fiasco the game pretty much brought fighting games back to the forfront of the industry and now Fightin games are popular again. So say what you want but SF4 pretty much brought the genre back from retirement. Besides, im waiting for MvC3 anyways.

  • @shoNuuff Sad but true. It's not a terrible game. But I believe that many people, including me, don't think it should've garned the success it did. Atleast, not compared to previous capcom entries. Especially in the soundtrack department!

  • @whostolecarlosrox Don't forget the broken ultra system, garbage endings, terrible character matchups and of course... SETH. :D

  • @whostolecarlosrox They should have used Sf x3`s graphics but improved for Sf4 instead of the cartoon graphics..

  • @whostolecarlosrox Of course it's shitty! I still play it, but it doesn't compare to SNK 2 or 3rd Strike.

Oh yeah, where the hell are all the special intros?? You know, like Ryu and Ken fist pumping before they fight? They made Dudley queer imho in SSF4, but in 3rd strike he had swagg. Crapcom has to keep making new people while ignoring all of the older people....Charlie, Birdie, Rolento, Garuda, etc.

  • @dcollegeboy ur right about everything but Garuda, unless Capcom buys the rights from Akira, we won't be seeing the EX characters

  • @AkumetsuLord True, I just really like Garuda. But where the hell's Charlie? Just put him in the game already so Guile will stop whining about how much he misses him! And Birdie & Rolento haven't been in a game for like 10 years!

  • @dcollegeboy wow, nostalgia whore

  • Comment removed

  • @Martialart07 Look who's talking. You're accusing us of being "nostalgia whores" yet you were obviously looking at this video, which is an OST for a video game that's over ten years old.

  • @dcollegeboy sigh...ya done goofed, son. Nowhere did i say, i didn't like street fighter 3. i love the whole street fighter series, i just know how to move on and except that my time has passed and need to except change. What does me listening to a song have to do with bein a nostalgia whore anyway??? i ain't bitchin about how sf4 isn't anything like how the old one was unlike you and many others.

  • @whostolecarlosrox

To the first part of your post, I don't think it's about where it takes place chronologically that matters about what number it is. I think it's just about the evolution of the games, series and such.

  • Concerning the music in Super Street Fighter IV, they really should've composed new music rather than just remixing old themes for characters. That gives the impression of laziness, that they're leaning back on previous themes rather than actually trying to think up new music themselves. And the remixes weren't good either. It just seemed like they were trying to make some new generic music and shoehorning the old themes into it.

But I liked the game itself.

  • @whostolecarlosrox I agree with everything but the graphic pt..the graphic was great on SF4

  • @whostolecarlosrox youre right. i would also add that it was fucking unbalanced even on the new arcade edition, and the online mode in the pc version is horrible.

  • @whostolecarlosrox Get used to the 3D sir, because I believe the 2D fighter (as far as Capcom is concerned) is officially dead. It costs more money to make new hand drawn sprites than it does to create 3D fighters, so that's more than likely the route they are going to take now. Also, 3 didn't "improve" the formula either. Its more technical, but it did nothing new, other than the parry, which in my opinion is a poor excuse for a free hit.

  • @whostolecarlosrox Also, since when has a sequel ever represented a story's chronological order? Many films and games are numbered in a certain order even though the story may have happened way before. And look at Final Fantasy. They are numbered, but NONE of the stories have ever been tied in any way, other than a few characters that have always been present in each one (moogles mogs.)

  • @HumorousLOL

Well SF4 isn't the only one I feel the same way for. RE3 shouldn't be called RE3 and that goes for anything that pulls that shit. I hate when something's called Part 2 or Part 3 when it's in fact a prequel. That's BULLSHIT.

Ong Bak 2 comes to mind. Fuckin' movie takes place like 1000 yrs before part one.

  • @whostolecarlosrox That's the problem though it wasn't trying to be a new game. They wanted to make a game that felt similar to 2 and not too complicated like 3, in my opinion they made the right choice. We can sit here and argue all day but I think one thing is for sure, no fighting game impacted us the way Street Fighter 2 did and I glad they tried to put that same effort and put it into 4.

  • @whostolecarlosrox Shut up loser

  • @disgustika Eat a dick

  • @whostolecarlosrox only nerds like you look into it THAT much. SF4 is amazing anyways.

  • @disgustika Look into what? I barely played 4 cuz it was such a disappointing shitpile. I have to look into things and do years of research to figure out that a shitty sequel is nowhere near as good as the old games?

    Fuck off troll.

  • @whostolecarlosrox SF4 is an unbalanced game because of its sappy ultra system and slow super meter.

It just makes no sense, aren't ultras suppose to be stronger than supers? Then why have the ability to preform it TWICE without effecting the super meter? It's so overpowered and broken.

    Round 1: Super's empty.

Round 2: Super's HALF FULL while realizing how fast the Ultra fills up.

Round 3: Super's full, now it's possible to fuse both the super and the ultra for RIDICULOUS OVERPOWERED DAMAGE.

  • @Eltro920 you're looking at it wrong.

they wanted to allow for EX moves, and a switchable super-art thingy (ultras).

Super meter is really for supers at all - it's for EX moves. Super is just an option you can go for if you haven't been burning meter enough.

Further, damage on ultras is variable - it depends on how much damage you've taken. if you land an ultra right after you get it, it isn't going to do that much damage compared to a super.

  • @BradleyThomas312 Sure, half an Ultra isn't as powerful as a full Ultra. It's a concept which I first seen in Samurai Shodown with their Rage meter.

But rewarding the loser (the guy who's about to die) incredible power isn't skill.

  • @disgustika

SF4 is amazing? heh thats a good one

  • yea this is street fighter music 4reel......u gotta be able to play with gud music

  • hadokits shoryukits lol

  • SF3 as a whole had the best music...all three versions. And I don't just mean of all the SF games, I mean of any Capcom game ever made. That's just my opinion though.

  • @Thr33X agreed .most def the best

  • ryu started to look japanese in street fighter 3.

  • @xviolentphilx tru cuz in the other ones he looked like a white man, but this is when he became japanese u r so rite!!

  • 0:31 my favorite part of the song!

  • I remember when I saw SF3 on arcades I was like wow!! look at Ryu and Ken!! they're Extreme looking!! as I watched 2 players using them.

  • i love the character animations in Street Fighter III

  • Way better than SF2 I think, even if most people think otherwise!!!

  • @Deader87

for who this song is for two people.

  • ahhh '97 those good ol gamehead and lazy bart simpson days have really came an went

  • Sure you can

  • Kinu Nishimura most def drew the best looking Ryu and Ken imo, especially Ryu's portrait at 0:43.

(Sorry for the fangirl moment). XD

  • I actually agree. Didn't know the name of the illustrator. But I did like the character illustrations in New Generation and 2nd Impact more than I did in any other.

Made more of an impression on me than 3rd Strike did.

  • @SavySavant Hell Yea, It would be Cool if CapCom puts it in HD :)

  • Definitely...

  • WAY better than the music in 4....

  • SHINRYUKEN!!!!

  • YES!!! Love all the SF3 music!!! Are these availabe on CD? THANKS FOR SHARING!! :)

  • HADOUKEN!
