A suggestion is to have the camera zoomed out so the viewer can see your body posture and actin especially when turning the horse. Seems to me everyone you made the horse turn the camera was zoomed on the horse which isn't helpful because we've all seen horses run before. Just my 2 cents, thanks for the video!
I have a very stubborn mare. She is fine when you saddle her and mount her but i guess you could say she is part barn sour and part Balker. She wants to go where she wants to and will either stop completely and back up, sometimes with a small rear or buck and then she wont go forward! i smack her butt, kick her even, i tried a crop but nothing is working... very frustrating, any advice??? :/
Didn't u listen??? You want to establish leadership and trust. You don't need a lungeline for that. You use body language and voice.... good horsemen don't need either saddle nor bridle.
I have been riding for about 9 years and i bought this horse, Ace. He was so poorly handled that we had to detrain him of bucking -well they were more like bunny hops. And he recently has been very aganist me (or anyone) mounting him. he fine when we ride though. when i try to mount him i have to bring the sturip up to his front shoulder or else he will kick out at me. Its just an accident waiting 2 happen, his ears are always pinned back when i mount. Is there any advice that u could give me?TY
my 8 month old colt , what can i start doing with him...i dont have a roundpen here in ecuador....he also has to be put out to graze on a long line...no pasture. He is alone with me...halters pretty well but has taken to tossing and pulling.
Any cues about starting..Ive never raised and 8 month old before!
He is going to look like your palomino when he grows up! Sweet boy....alittle head strong! thanks! Ill be watching ..L
You don't show your body language when you ask for a change in direction... the video zooms in on the horse. How exactly are you positioning yourself, shoulders etc. when you ask for the inside turn? Thanks. Pretty horse!
Awesome how many days were involved in this set of 12 videos?
