It's usually a landscaping crew that does the digging. One guy with a jackhammer (shovel bit) and two with shovels. They'll pound out an 18" deep x 12" wide x 25 foot long trench in 15 minutes.
Pick a size. Any size. I bought a set made by Klein Tools for about $40. 3/16", 1/4", 5/16", 3/8", 1/2", 5/8", 3/4"and 7/8".
The springie thingie works by restricting the soft copper tubing's natural tendency to 'oval' when being bent. This reduces the chance of a kink. The 'wonkie dong' is a cheap alternative to those pricey tubing bender kits. I've used them for more than 20 years.
Very nice! How does the springie thingie work? one size only or several? They have a hydraulic flaring tool at one of the supply houses that I'd love to get but I don't help out on enough installs to make it worth the fortune they want for it :> M@

Nice work. You seem to come across quite a few systems to relocate. Do you dig trenches yourself or have the homeowner worry about that?

Rubatex, aka armaflex, is 3/4" nominal wall. The insulation is 3/4" thick. What size do y'all use in your neck of the woods?

Nice to see there's still some pros out there. Hey I was wondering what size armaflex do you all use out in CA? Looks like 2 possibly 3 inch.

It's 3" Corex. The plumbing aisle at Home Depot is where you'll find it. Comes as perforated or non-perforated. Intended for use as drainage piping.

Overcast days are the best for working outside. If it's sunny, I break out the patio umbrella.
