Obama is picking up steam because people are tired of business as usual in Washington. They are tired of Washington lobbyists and Washington insiders make all of their decisions for them, and they are tired of the politics of divisive partisanship that allows candidates to say and do whatever they think will get them to the White House. i always liked Reagan. he has a great legacy. he was able to win the cold war by following and enhancing the policy's of previous presidents going back to Truman, a conservative democrat. because of his policy's, including frightening the soviets with his increased military stance and military research programs, he was able to drive the USSR into financial crisis. the ensuing collapse of the soviet union can be directly linked to Ronald Reagan.
