i had a tape of this when i was a little kid growing up in the greaties and lost it !,couldnt afford a cd , then it was record from radio one top 40 or get some one to do a copy from their vinyl,
this was something to really listen to with decent headphones on, glad i saw them later, 3 times now. 80sman.
@TheBigHalf Why? Am I wrong? Am I not allowed to find it annoying? Could the sound quality not be a lot better? Do you not find the video annoying? Is there something wrong with commenting in the comments area?
@ConorHiggins11 I suppose I thought you came across prickish as someone has gone to the bother of sharing a track, i'm guessing at the best quality they could, and whilst I agree that the video is juvenile, that's their choice... and you're right there's nothing wrong with commenting, and I was wrong to put you're a prick, maybe it was a grouchy day, but it seemed petulant to criticise
As a fan way back to Signing Off and Present Arms who saw them live just as they went commercial and lost interest after that these extended versions bring back tons of memories as I have them on vinly but like almost everyone else disconnected their turntable and boxed it up. King and Tyler are other faves. Big thanks!
This is on an dutch import album called More ub40 music. To me its a fabulous album with 4 12 inch versions on the end of each side. Its omly avaiable on vinyl though and not cd.
ub40 at its best.why did they do that other shit for (red red wine, kingston town ect) but then they have sold 80 mill albums so who am i.signing off top ten easy
@88dave89 too true guy - I stopped listening after songs like Homely girl and that insufferable one they did with Robert Palmer. I used to hold my head high as a UB40 fan; recently they returned to Melbourne to play, nowadays I wouldn't wish my worst enemy to endure their music. And especially now that Ali Campbell has left, why would anyone bother??
does anyone know what the name of the song that was on the flipside of 45 of red red wine...way back or it was a cassette of the song on one side and another on the other it was mostly instrumental but it was awesome..like sufferin ?
