  • EL MEJOR TROMBONISTA DE TODOS LOS TIEMPOS. CRECI ESCUCHANDO SU MUSICA Y POR EL SOY TROMBONISTA TAMBIEN. ATTE, FERNANDO MARTINEZ DE COLOMBIA.

  • Great post. Great pity that some individuals demean it with their puerile comments.

    Thanks for sharing.

  • Stamp out digital record cleaning it sucks.

Bring back the scratch and real sound

  • Hey, xmurli and peteyboy, take your teabagging politics and shove off. Go post your crap on some wingnut blog where the rest of us can ignore you douches.

  • BEAUTIFUL !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • 20,000, plus hits. well at least ther are still 20.000 plus real americans left in the -u s a-. this was music. not the anti usa- and anti god crap that cameout in the 60s and 70s and 80s they call music. i wa snot alive till 1956, but i missed the real america i am sad to say. the sailor kissing the lady on - V DAY IN TIMES SQ IN 1945. now thats america.

  • @peteboy1113 Watch Glenn beck on Fox cable News and support "Refounding America" maybe it will bring back real America.

  • how can you be so crass as to think that great music a politics are connected.

can we just enjoy great musicians

  • mike savage, the man they want off the air. but it wont happen. just look at all the seats the commies are loseing, in america. mass -scott brown, for starters. we will not live in cuba. free medical care, ya right at whos expence. the middle class, commies only want rich, and very poor. go mike savage go.

  • @peteboy1113 You fascist, butthole you. My dad, who played with Dorsey on this song ,taught me to despise phonies like you who dare to speak in God's name. Gee, I guess Dad must have been "Anti-Usa" when he was recording this -- since he was lit up on more pot than you would find at a Bob Marley convention. Probably wasAniti usa when he took me to civil rights marches in the sixties. Seriously, dude, don't get all "Seig Heil" around musicians. Most of us will just laugh in your face. Adolph.

  • @zalman595 - you go to hell -fuck face. this music here is america, dorsey. like i said go to hell. civil rights??? marches. wtf. like i said go to hell.

  • we will not live in cuba, or i will not-or mike savage. go to china with mao. go mike savage go.

  • Peteboy, My dad the 1930's pot-smoking, pro civil rights, Republican who played on this record, also taught me to laugh in the face of haters like you. If the best you can come up with is "fuckface" , you Hitler-loving son of a thousand fathers, then you should crawl back into the putrid snatch that spawned you, cum-sucker. Now, isnt' that so much better?

  • we will never live in cuba. and wait yes wait, untill we start the -committee, on unamerican acitivities. on people like you, fuckface, wait, oh yes its comming back. your father was a plant i see. who sent him, stalin,

  • you wont win. never.

  • See boys and girls, the comment that Peteboy removed was "{U.S. HOUSE} UnAmerican activities is comming (sic) back." An implied threat against somebody daring to exercise the right of freedom of expression. Like I said, I'm TEN TIMES, the American you are. As for me "winning", I don't have to threaten you to kick your ass up and down the street in a debate; just tell the truth and let a crypto-fascist like you reveal yourself for what you are. Our patriot Loves America ,but hates free speech

  • Petey, why don't YOU go live in China, dude? They limit free speech there too. Are you sure you don't want to live in Cuba orunder Stalin? Maybe they could shut guys like me up for you, you fucking traitor. As for "you won't win," just picture a stubborn little boy with his face all twisted up, arms stubbornly folded in front of him, threatening to hold his breath. Win? I'm having a blast with you. You are easier than a drunken whore -- no insult meant to your female family members ;)))))

  • Now, go listen to the original classical piece, "Sadko, Song of India" by Rimsky-Korsakov. What a deal!

  • Used to listen to this over & over on my parents we had an old 78 player & so were all our records. Love this & the B side called Maree was featured in the Movie called The Faboulous Dorseys if you ever get a chance to see please do so a great movie. I belive this track is from the movie called Sonf of Sherazad (not sure of the spelling here ) starrred Eve Aarden I think.

  • yes - i will not live in cuba, i dont want it too. go mike savage go. read my comment on this song .

  • wonderful music from wonderful times.

  • Bunny rules! You know, they did a joke with it while touring with the band bus. When TD was in a mad mood, bad mood, one of the guys started to sing the first phrase very lowly, then the others answered with a very loud "DA-DAT", and TD was well again.

  • Hi, I just checked your blog, it is swing heaven! Thanks :)

  • Thanks for your kind reply. Yep, I try to post the most swingin' music this side of heaven LOL

    Have a good time there.

    Bruno

  • This was recorded in early 1937; the trumpet soloist is Bunny Berigan.

  • We swung all through the 40's to this music. It is so great to be able to see & hear them again, a magic carpet ride back to Valhalla.

    Thank you very much

  • I cant tell you how good it is to hear this again. My father gave me a gramophone with this and other Tommy Dorsey records from his youth for me to play with. I was about 8 or 9 and soon wrecked them. But never forgot the tunes!! this one especially, pure class! big thankx xx

  • I'm really glad you found that song...Do you remember what the other records were? Maybe I have them too
