Personaly I'm a little intimidated by "The Roo", simply because im not sure I'd enjoy the show considering how many DRUNK LOUD KIDS who dont give a dam about Dave are going to be there talking, screaming, texting etc etc....

jamie, you may be wise. You can't get anywhere near the stage, the cost factors have skyrocketed, and there are tons of ppl selling all kinds of drugs. I went in '02 and '03 and had great times but saw huge differences between the two weekends (with '02 as far superior in many ways). The Roo's heyday may have passed, and you may find yourself much more satisfied at a true DMB concert. I have no plans ever to return to The Roo based on the dramatic changes I saw, but to each his/her own.

Ah! The Roo. Went in '02 (first one--tkts $100!) and '03 (one of Mikey's last shows w/WSP). GREAT times! Much more grungy in '03. Many "salespersons" wandering thru campsites. Was asked if I wanted to buy a horse tranquilizer? Um, no, but thanks. I can't imagine how much it's changed since then. If you go, enjoy immensely, but don't abandon your sense of self care. I'm sure that DMB will put on a fantastic show and maybe do some tremendous collaborating, too. Rock on, DMB! You are the best!
